I searched the support site and found the following site and went through it and tried all of the solutions and the problem is still happening

http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/outlookdoesntstart.htm

The problem happens in safe mode. It happens with all add ins turned off. It happens after the scanpst is ran. It happens after setting up a new profile.

The installation was done one a new PC, Dell 9000 XPS machine i7-920  8gig ram, Win7 Ultimate. pst file transferred over was from a Outlook 2003 installation and is quite large.

What now?

I was having problems with Outlook 2007 (running Vista) crashing several
times a day on right-clicking an email to move it to a folder. Trying to
re-open, I got the same appcrash error. I had to reboot so I could start
Outlook. I then created a new email account on my machine, which worked until
I installed the IronPort Spam Plug-in. Back to the same problem. I went back
to my original account, removed the plug-in and uninstalled it completely
from my PC. I have had no appcrashes since. Is this a known issue or
something local to my PC or my company's set-up? thanks

I installed Outlook 2000 Pro unaware it was incompatible with Vista (Premium
Home). I made it my default mail app and imported my messages from the ISP
server (Verizon). These messages are no longer accessible through Verizon.

I get the APPCRASH error in Outook (the config using workgroups dos not work
either). Can I retrieve the messages that are stored in Outlook?
Thank you in advance

having a huge problem, tried everything I could find and think of personally to no avail. I send an email from my business email address on outlook (yes, with a signature) and the moment I click send the app crashed and restarts (loosing the email I was writing). Only on new emails, when I save the draft beforehand, I am able to send the draft after restarting the program. Replies work just fine as well. I have error checked the PST and the OST, uninstalled MS OFFICE, REINSTALLED, changed the dll file to 'old' and repaired office, as well as disabled each of my plain jane add ons one at a time to no avail.

Im lost and really need help, this problem costs me money daily. PLEASE HELP

In addition, I'm running Vista. This laptop was someone else's in my
company. His user profile was deleted and mine added but it "seems" as
though it did not completely correct the info. The path for the .ost file
still references his user name and I do not exist when expanding my hard
drive folders and drilling down to users.

Any thoughts other than wiping the computer clean and reinstalling everything?

I just installed my copy of Outlook 2003 on my new Vista PC. The

I installed Office Service Pack 3, and still no luck. I did a Microsoft
Update and I have the same issue. A trial version of Office 2007 came
bundled on my machine, so I tried Outlook 2007, and I received the same
issue. I've uninstalled, repaired, re-installed, anything I could think of.
I couldn't find any help using Google or the Microsoft website.

Outlook 2002 works fine, and this same copy of Outlook 2003 worked fine on
my other Vista PC.

Help!

My wife is running MS Office Outlook 2003 under Vista. Within the
last several days, it repeatedly crashes with the message, “Microsoft
Office Outlook has stopped working. A problem has caused the program
to stop working correctly.”

Initially, she noticed it on send/receive operations. More recently,
we’ve found you can reliably produce it by trying to sync the calendar
either to a Treo handheld, or to Google Calendar.

Here’s what we’ve tried:

1. Reboot machine several times.

2. Run detect and repair in Outlook.

3. Run Scanpst.exe on her .pst files until it reports no errors.

4. Archive large amounts of email and compress the .pst file to get
it smaller. (It was getting close to 2Gigs, but it’s now well under
1Gig.)

5. Uninstall and reinstall Office 2003.

6. Create a new profile with no content from the old .pst file. That
one crashed with the same error as soon as we tried to sync its
calendar with Google.

7. Disable Outlook addins (Google calendar sync and Norton anti-spam)

8. Google the error message and look for answers in multiple
threads.

7. Change permissions in the Norton Internet Security firewall for
Outlook from Auto to Allowed.

Nothing has worked.

The crash seems to come with the following pair of messages in Event
Log:

Fault bucket 1177144235, type 1
Event Name: APPCRASH
Response: None
Cab Id: 0

process id 0x7d4, application start time 0x01c9a077342822f5.

At this point, I need help.

I have a realatively new Dell laptop (2008) with Vista Home Premium. I've
used Outlook 2003 for several months, but yesterday It started to crash, with
the error message that it must restart. The error message is APPCRASH. I
get five different emails (email addresses) forwarded to my Outlook mail. I
believe there is something wrong with my configuration, and that when a new
message comes in Outlook crashes, but I'm not sure. When I go to the email
boxes and test my connections via send test messages, they all come back good.
This is trully agravating! Please, HELP!

On Tuesday, I replaced a router that was faulty and causing extremely
slow Internet connections. The new one works fine.

Today, Thur, i'm told Outlook 2007 is crashing on two machines. Both
machines got an email from a particular user at the company, listed
multiple times. That user had a new computer which I setup. All
machines run Macafee antivirus, which is up to date and all machines
have automatic windows updates.

I'm wondering if an automatic update could have caused this, now that
the Internet connection is much stronger and could complete larger
updates. Was running like Dial-up before.

The error message I get in Outlook is:
