How to customize the Task Request form

I am trying to customize the Task Request form, but none of the fields are
selectable, nor does the Control Toolbox form button do anything. It seems as
if this form is locked. Is there a way I can unlock it so that I can modify
it and add fields?

Hello everybody

I am wondering if there is a way to customize the “Advanced Find” window
(Ctrl+Shift+F) via custom forms and VBScript for Outlook 2003.
I want to intercept the Search criterias, the “Find Now” click event and be
able to add my own results into the results list. Thank you.

Hi, I am trying to create a TASK REQUEST form in Outlook 2003. I am a
beginner so please bear with me because I am not understanding all this
code and where its coming from in other topics.

I created a TASK REQUEST custom form and test ran it. When received and
I try to accept the task I get the error message "The task (task name)
cannot be sent. It may be an attachment of another message."

I tried finding the code in "View this code" and the Visual Basic
Editor but nothing comes up. I am desiging this form from Outlook using
"tools -> forms -> design this form."

Does anyone know how to fix this error? Also if there is code that I
would have to edit, how do I find it? I tried looking in help with no
success.

Thanks in advance...

BTW, I do know how to read code and work with it because I have a
degree in it, I am just not familiar with Visual Basic/Outlook codes
and regardless no code is showing up for me to edit and I don't know
this error!

But really, I strongly feel there's got to be a way to capture Find events in
Outlook forms. I saw this artcle
(http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/06...utlook_plugin/)
that talks about how Google has replaced default WDS and offer the same
functionality through Google search. For that to happen Google should be able
to capture the search parameters from Outlook form and pass them into
google's search engine/index I presume.

What Pavel is trying to do is to override Outlook search and amalgamate
results of his own search into Outlook search results, and when you think
about what Google has done I think this is doable, but just dont know how.

Thanks
Duke

Dear All,

I designed a new form according to my needs, with 3 pages. When I send the
TASK REQUEST form, assignee can not see other 3 pages. But the one whom I
shared MY TASKS folder, he is able to my actual form.

Can you help me about FORM DESING and sending this form to OTHERS?

Hi all, Does anyone have an idea how I delete a task request from my
inbox.
When I try to delete the task request i get the outlook dialog box up,
which
states. "The task folder could not be found. Could not open the item.
Try
again."
Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to customize the Outlook Contact Form?

Add a field? Move a field? Etc.?

I know how to add a user-defined field, but I'd like it to appear on the main page of the form.

Can I do that?

Is there a way to customize the default contact form in Outlook 2010? When I try to edit it, a very different form opens up. I would appreciate to be able to edit the original, since all the people in our small company already have their contacts in the default forms, they would just like to add details.

This post is very similar to my question:

Hi,
I want to filter the Tasks home page based on some input criteria like
From This Start Date to That Date.
I found a way that by using Restrict() Method in OlTaskItem Object,we can
filter the data and it does.
But the problem for me is that i can't able to place the Filtered collection
Object in the Tasks Home page.
Either i can able to Open all the Filtered Tasks using Display Method or i
can use Delete Method to delete the he collection object and something else i
can do.
But my requirement is to just show only the filtered Task in the TAsks
Home PAge.
Can anyone help with this?

Any responce will be really appreciated.

The task list on my desktop was shared with a colleague on her lap top. When
ever I work on any of my tasks ( I am the task owner), outlook automatically
sends the lap top notification of any work done. As the email address that
the update sends to no longer exists, the mail keeps being returned to me. I
have searched everywhere on both the desktop and laptop and can not find out
how to stop the task mail being sent. Please help. Its driving me insane.

I have created a custom Contact form which is attached to the contacts. I
would like to use a button on the custom form to open the default Contacts
form with the Activities tab selected. The Click event would detach the
contact from the custom form, open the default form with the Activities tab
activated (which is what I don't know how to do), and then reattach the
contact to the custom form again leaving both forms open.

Right now, I can open a contact in the Custom form, click a button on the
custom form to detach the contact from the custom form, and then click on
the contact again which opens the default form leaving both the custom and
default forms open. But once the form is detached from the contact, it
remains detached until Outlook is restarted (which attaches the form to all
contacts) or a button on the main outlook toolbar is clicked attaching all
of the contacts to the custom form again.

As far as I know, the only way to get the functionality from the Activities
tab would be to either open the default contact form with that tab selected
or create another custom form and try to reproduce the functionality.

If possible, how can I open the default Contact form with the Activities tab
activated?

I use the status field in the Tasks Folder of Outlook to keep track of
different stages of completion in the production of my work. I would like to
customize the pull down choices in that field, so I don't have to retype the
same thing all the time. I can't figure out how to customize the choices or
add to the choices. Any help is appreciated. My son said I needed to find
someone that knows Visual Basic for Outlook, but that seems like overkill for
my problem. Does anyone know how to customize the existing pull down in the
existing "Status" Field. Thank you, Steve

I see one can create New Groups within Outlook Tasks but I don't see how to
move individual tasks into those Groups. I see it is possible to move all the
High Priority Tasks into a new group but that's not what I want to do. Maybe
I am not understanding the purpose of Groups within Tasks, but I cannot find
any help information on this topic to help me decide if I want to use this
feature. Any assistance would be appreciated.

hi,

Please help me out with how to import the rejected tasks in outlook which
are rejected by Project manager after submitting the first time.
