unable to delete junk mail

Hi,
I'm using Entourage on Office X and cannot delete junk mail messages from my
inbox that did not get filtered into my junk mail folder. When I
select/highlight the message and then hit "delete", it moves on to the next
message, but leaves the unwanted message where it is. When trying to mark
the message as junk mail, it greys out the message and then moves to the next
message, but the junk mail message is still there in my inbox. I have
checked through a web-based email program and confirmed that the unwanted
messages have been removed from the server. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks.

Hosting email filtering has ability to
delete junk mails based on body text (cpanel)

However when you have different websites, hosted in different providers
you can't use that filters if you don't have Cpanel. Or at least you must
set it up each one, separately to filter words like "Viagra" in emails
bodies.

Well, is there any software
apable to delete junk mails based on body text that you can use in Outlook
express,
instead?

I've tried many and none does that. They can filter based on subject, but
not body.

Hello,

I'm unable to delete a mail from a particular mailbox on the server of one of our clients.
When I try to access the mail, outlook says that the message cannot be displayed.
When I try to delete the mail, i'll receive an error that the mail could not be deleted.
I also can't delete the mail through OWA.
I've allready run eseutil on the database to defragment and repair. I also started ISINTED -s servername -fix -test alltest, but this also didn't solve the problem.
Can anyone give me some advice?

iI "lost" my standard toolbar, so I tred repairing Outlook, then
re-installing. Neither worked, but now I have a more pressing issue. I am
unable to delete messages from certain outlook folders (like one I set up for
pop messages from a second e-mail address). Nothing happens when I press the
delete key. I think I may have lost permissions to these folders, but not
positive. I am NOT on an exchange server. Using Outlook 2003.

I have created a rule to delete any mail which contain certain characters or
words. This appears to work sometimes but some of the mail containing these
words still gets through (usually finish up in the Junk mail folder). When
I run the rule on the Junk Mail folder these emails get deleted! So the
rule would seem to be ok.

Any idea why the rule does not always work?

I want email sent to the junk mail file automatically deleted instead of left in the folder. I've checked the option but every time I go back to look, it has unchecked the box and junk mail is still there. Is there any way to make this permanent?

I have some junk e-mails that were sent to a public folder, and I’m unable
to delete them. . .As the admin, when I try to delete any item, it gives me
this error: “Some items can’t be deleted. They were either moved, already
deleted, or access was denied.”

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have set a rule for a few incoming emails so that the particular parties'
mail is "permenently deleted." However, for some reason, Outlook does not
permanently delete the mail; it simply moves the mail to the "Junk Mail"
folder. I want it PERMANENTLY DELETED!!

Are there other rules to add to make this happen? Any way to actually purge
the file completely from the server and computer immediately upon receipt of
it instead of having it moved to a visible folder (i.e. "Junk Mail")?

I have been trying to delete both junk mail and deleted email in Outlook
2007, but keep getting the message that an error has been found in the file
outlook.pst. I have followed all the steps and then some, but nothing works.
Incidently, the number of actual junk emails is 5, the number next the Junk
email folder reads (4294967295). This is very frustrating, please help.

Thank you for your help

An apparently corrupt e-mail arrived in my OE Inbox and I am unable to
delete it. Furthermore when I went directly to my Hotmail Inbox the message
was also there and, again, I am unable to delete it. Can someone tell me how
to delete an 'undeletable' e-mail?
Thanks

There are currently two ways to delete junk mail, either automatically when
they come in or by manually emptying the junk e-mail folder. I'd vote for a
third, that provides more automation, but a bit more protection: Provide the
option to empty the folder on exit from Outlook, as exists with the deleted
items folder. That way, one could check the folder before exiting, but
wouldn't have to go to the trouble of deleting the items.

I've checked every option screen, but cannot get deleted junk mail to go to
the deleted items folder first...which is what the instructions for outlook
2003 indicate should happen. When I empty the junk mail folder, that mail is
immediately gone.

I like to empty the junk mail often, but when time permits review deleted
items before exiting and deleting permanently.

btw, I have outlook setup to permanently delete items upon exit.

Thanks for any advice,

Is there a way to highlight junk mail and wipe it off my computer without
putting it in my "deleted items" file? I don't see a reason to compile email
that I would never possibly want to access.

I was woundering if any one knows how to set Outlook 2007 to automaticly move junk mail from my inbox to the junk mail folder. At this point It shows in my inbox until I go down my Inbox list and than it moves it to the junk e-mail folder and marks it for deletion. I checked all the settings and they are set corectly as far as I can see and have looked at the KB and it states that Outlook is supposed to autmaticly filter and move them to the junk mail folder and that they should not show up in my inbox at all. The only other option I have is to go onto the IMAP server itself and mark it as junk mail there, but I would rather not have to do that.  Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you and advance.  -André

I have three sites, one of them has Internet Mail Service running on it. The others are connected to this site (using replication). Users in those sites are unable to receive internet mail. They can send internet mail. IM is coming in and out for the first server. When sending to those two other sites (BDC's) it says message delayed. Internal mail is working fine. Please help. Thanks

When users try to delete messages using OWA, the get an error that says "Unable to delete item". I've installed SP4 and stopped all antivirus services (temporarily) and I still get the error. I found a document os MS webpage that says it's a known bug. It was working fine before. I was just wondering if anyone has come across this and if they were able to resolve it.

Hi all,

Have a user who has now left, The mailbox has been removed but there still remains a Mailbox in the Mailbox Resource.

However when I try to see the properties on this mailbox I get the following message
"The object cannot be found in the directory. This may be due to replication has not completed." And therefore unable to delete this.
Unfortuneatly i'm new to Exchange and have no idea what this means or how to remove this object.

The person is not in the "Server Recipients" or "Public Information Store"

Any pointers would be greatful..
