Cannot Edit My Calendar and Alarms no longer alert. Meanwhile I can edit the
calendar for which I'm a delegate and other can edit my calendar when I set
them as delegates. They get the alarms, I do not.

Really Bizzare!

Windows XP, Outlook 2010, Hotmail, Windows live, Connector ver. 14 is my Calendar operating environment. I cannot get my calendar to sync with my Windows live Hotmail account.  I tried a new profile repairing the connector, repairing outlook, and out of desperation, I have tried downloading and installing the Google calendar sync... no luck with that either.  Could someone tell me, -as simply as possible, how to sync my 2010 Outlook calendar with my Windows live Hotmail account?

Thank you
JDT

I cannot get the Blackberry software to configured to see Microsoft Outlook

Hi there,
I recently bought a new laptop with a 60 day free trial of Microsoft Office.
I have had all sorts of problems with Outlook accepting the access key, so I
downloaded a new one and it still wouldnt accept it. Despite the program
being a "60 day free trial" it locked me out after 25 entries of Outlook and
now I cannot do anything but recieve my emails. So, I purchased the full
product and received the download link and new activation key. I have been
able to validate the likes of Word and Excel, but Outlook still keeps telling
me my activation key is incorrect. I have contacted Microsoft help desk and
have done everything as they have advised, but no matter how hard I try, I
cannot unlock Outlook. I am getting increasingly frustrated and would
appreciate some advice.
Many thanks!

Does anyone know how to retreive the activation key for the ProWrite
Pro version?
I restored my PC from a crash last month & when I re-installed the
ProWrite software, it gave me the 15 day trial. I bought this in 2004
& cannot find the activation key.
ANY SUGGESTIONS??

Really useful help, especially as it does not appear to be avaialble within
Outlook's help files. Thank you. HOWEVER:-
I now have two personal folders in my folder list and they both have
identical information.
Microsoft tell me that I can right click on one and close it to cure the
problem but I can't as both personal folders show this right click menu
option in grey so it is not available.
Can anyone help please?

Ever since I upgraded from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007, I cannot get my
Calendar and Contacts to sync with my Pocket PC. Any suggestions on how to
solve this problem?

Thanks to a previous answer from here, I got all of my text boxes and all
that to work in my Outlook form (my form was always coming into my inbox
blank), but I cannot get my option button to work (I am using 'option button'
from my toolbox). There are 2 buttons and a person can only choose one or the
other. If all else fails I can use a drop down, but it's more convenient to
use the option button because there are only 2 choice.

When I test my form, that option always comes blank. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Tanya

Hey guys, I will preface this post with this.

I have NEVER used Exchange 2003, and I have had a not fun experience in regards to getting it to work. So I will explain what has happened, and where I am today.

Alright, so the general problem is this. I cannot do anything with Exchange (I wanted to remove the organization) because I have no longer have Full Exchange Administrator access and I have no idea how to get it back.

I have done (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/296487) that process. However I am still not able to get access to Full Exchange Administrator access. I also used the same account I used to install Exchange 2003/Forestprep/Domainprep. This account also still has the "postmaster@.com". I also cannot change that. The remove and add is greyed out in AD. The error windows that I get when I try to delegate the full access through the wizard is, "Failed to remove permission from on this object: .", and "the delegation wizard could not grant/change permissions for: ."

Now, that is the general problem and what is happening. I would like to know if there is any solution that I can do that does NOT require me setting up the entire domain again, that is just not possible right now.

From here on out, I will give details to how I got here and what happened. I put it here because I don't want everyone else to have to read the whole post, only the top. Alrighty, here is the history of how I am here:

1. Installed SBS2003, but didn't add as Domain Controller. Installed Exchange 2003, did Forestprep/Domainprep on domain but not as DC. I did authorize the computer to do the change to the domain. Everything worked as it should have.

2. Server started shutting down because it needs to be a DC. So then what I did was I FORMATTED the OS partition. I did not do an uninstall, and a /removeorg on the setup to remove the current installation of Exchange 2003. In hindsight, I probably should have done that. However I didn't know that that was needed. That was my mistake, and I will own up to it. However I will also check it off to ignorance. Now I didn't think much would change because of the format. As such I reinstalled SBS2003, added it as a DC. Everything seemed fine and everything worked.

3. I did the same install on Exchange 2003 on the new DC'ed SBS2003. I did the Forestprep/Domainprep again, as the normal installation is supposed to. Installed Exchange 2003 and got it working almost all the way. Except it errored out when I tried to enable the information store. However no matter what I could do it would not start the service. As such I UNINSTALLED Exchange 2003 using the uninstallation process that is outlined in the MS KB. The link is (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125110(EXCHG.65).aspx), and that's the process that I used.

4. After I did the uninstall, I tried to do /removeorg again so that I can remove the organization and start a new (and clean out AD) and get it working. However, now I cannot because I do not have Full Exchange Administrator access no matter what I do. I also don't even have it EVEN if I use the account I installed Exchange 2003 originally from.

You should give up Outlook and use your web browser to get your mail. OL is
not good for web based mail.

There is no "tick" next to Work Offline.

Look under the File menu. In what state is Work Offline: enabled or
disabled?

For e-mail, remove "NIX" and add "#LAH" passcode to Subject.

I cannot get Outlook 2007 to work with my MSN account.  Also using Windows 7.  I followed all the instructions at Microsoft support and nothing solved my problem.

I get a similar problem, and Outlook 2007 is my only mail client. Occasionally I am asked to, despite having installed all components from Microsoft Office 2007 on my PC, to insert the DVD and 'install' some 'missing' features (despite having made sure all of the Office components run from my Hard Disk when initially installing Office 2007)

As a result of this install, the installer deletes all references to the Mail Icon in Control Panel. IT also removes all references to the MAPI dlls from the registry and removes the DLLS from the regserver. The last time this happened was when my partner was using Access 2007.

Afterwards, the message "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the message request. Please run Microsoft Office Outlook and set it as the default mail client." every time you go in to Outlook 2007.

Why, despite having made sure all of the Office components run from my Hard Disk when initially installing Office 2007, does this occur?

Any why does this affect Microsoft Outlook 2007?

In Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook is still set to be my email client.

The Mail icon is missing from Control Panel, and all entries to MMCPL, in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel are empty.

Searching for this message in any of the technical support areas does NOT give you a solution.

Running Diagnostics from Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 does NOT fix the problem.

Running Repair / Reinstall from Microspft Office Installer does NOT fix the problem.

Uninstalling, restarting windows, then installing Office 2007 does NOT fix the problem.

Ack... After several failed CCR installations, I've now gotten into a situation where I cannot install an active node... My only option on both nodes is to install a passive node, which subsequently fails because the active node doesn't exist... It's acting as if some vestige of the cluster is incorrectly reporting the presence of the active node, even though there's no AD object...
