Disable room add rooms button in Scheduling Assistant

We are implementing a third party application (Meeting Room Manager)
that uses Exchange Calendar data but maintains it's own database of
conference rooms and features with enhancements over Exchange.. There
is an Outlook plugin that installs, but users need to be forced to
follow new calendaring/scheduling procedure and not be allowed to click
on the Rooms or Add Rooms buttons in the Scheduling Assistant. We know
we can hide the rooms in Exchange but are concerned this will generate
calls. Have found documentation on Group Policy that willl block apps
based on command bar id. Can't find the command bar id for the Rooms or
Add Rooms button.

Pls how do i disable "Reply to All" button in microsoft outlook for my users? Thanx

If someone else schedule a meeting with you as a attendee and you want to add attendees the "Add others" button is disabled. Is it possible to activate the "Add others" button to make it possible to add attendees by you as a attendee.

Thanx

We have a newly installed Exchange 2007 server and 45 Outlook 2007 clients.
I have setup several room mailboxes (resource mailboxes with disabled user
accounts) to be used for conference room resources in scheduling assistant.
I followed EHLO and MSDN best practice in setting these up... using
Management Console I created the mailboxes.... then I gave myself full access
using the powershell to them so I could create a profile to login to them in
Outlook. In Outlook I went to calendar options, resource scheduling and
check marked the first two options ("Automatically accept requests and
process cancellations", and "automatically decline conflicting meeting
requests"), I did not checkmark the third because we have some people who
have recurring meetings in the conference rooms.

Anyway when you create meeting requests using the scheduling assistant or
the traditional method (just click rooms in the meeting request viewing and
e-mailing the resource mailbox along with other attendees)... there is never
an indication given that the room has conflicting appointments.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding the Outlook/Exchange 2007 functionality... but
I was under the impression that if there was a conflict a grey box would pop
up and tell you there was a conflict.

When I have a conflict with an appointment on my own calender a reminder to
that fact appears above the "TO" field... but neither that or a grey box pops
up when a conference room is double booked.

As of right now we are unable to use the system because it doesn't seem to
be performing correctly. Help!

Our office manager is going nuts trying to schedule time in our
conference room. using the scheduling assistant she can see when the
rooms are booked, but not who is booking them,so she can go ask them
to reschedule. is there a way to switch from just seeing Busy/Free
for a room to actually seeing who is using it?

We have created a COM add-in for MS Project which is adding command buttons
in a custom command bar. What we want to do is, when user is editing a
cell/task we want to disable the custom command buttons.

Does anyone have any idea how this can be made possible.

Thanks.
Sushil.

Problem:
Create an OWA (Outlook Web Access) Add in or customizing OWA – Same as Outlook (2003, 2007) add in for Window Desktop Where we can trap event likes sending/receiving of mail and execute our code. And also add new button in toolbar.
For OWA 2007

I am not sure upto which level it is possible

Consider following use case:

User open browser and give url to check email form exchange server (i.e. http://owa.xyz.com/exchange/)
User click on new button to create a mail
User completed the mail with all details ( To,CC and body of mail)
User Click on Send button
Instead of sending message in normal flow – based on business logic – Custom Form will pop up (form with some controls)  -
User will fill data based on form fields
User can have 2 option on form ( Cancel and OK)
Cancel will not send the message and user will remain on same mail page
On click of OK –  do process on email metdata and email will send to the targeted persons
Add buttons in existing Toolbar of OWA - (i.e near "New" button or On new mail window - near "send" button)

you can think similar to spell check tool in OWA to visualize the use case.

i have gone through  some links - but still not got any helpfull information.

Thanks in advacne.

In suggestion and input will be very helpfull.

I created a new task form for a shared email box, which I wanted to add as a
button in the Tasks view. I can see the Form under Action > New TEST Task,
but it doesn't have an image and I am not sure how to add this as a button.

It's cool I can set an "Additional time zone" in my calendar. However, I
frequently have to set apppointments across time zones. Where I need to see
"Additional time zone" is actually in the Scheduling Assistant. This should
just show the same two zones as I set in my calendar. This is also useful
while traveling, so I have my home time zone and my tempoary time zone.

Further, since I may be scheduling multiple people in different zones, what
I could do with in addition to the above is a way to show the timezone per
person I schedule -- perhaps an overlay or mode to indicate these would be
helpful.

Thanks for considering this,
Stewart.

I try to add a new button on office2k7. but the button present at Add-In menu
instead of main toolbar. Is there any way that can add a button on the main
toolbar instead of Add-in menu???

I'm using Outlook 2003 and I would like to add "Voting Buttons" in an
invitation for a meeting. Is this possible? How?

Alternatively, can I change the labels on the answering buttons? Today they
are Accept, Tentative, Decline, and Propose New Time.

Thanks for any kind of help.

Hi,

I'm working with outlook 2007, but have found that the Scheduling Assistant
will not hold the option to show only my working hours (invariably, it starts
out recommending meeting times at midnight of the week's Sunday) - how can I
reset the default behavior for this? (I've tried all options, looked through
the registry, etc, with no luck)

Can I add a button in standard toolbar to all outlook 2007 client of my e2k7
organization?

is there a way to get rid of the 'disable this network device' button that
appears at the top, on the toolbar right under the menus? I know, kind of a
wierd request but I need to find out and then script the change if its
possible.

any input would be appreciated.

We are implementing (MRM) a 3rd party Outlook Calendar replacement addin and would like to disable, hide or eliminate the Add rooms button under the Scheduling assistant.  I have found the article on disabling items in Office based on Group Policy, but cannot identify the Control/Command ID for the Add Rooms button.  The Room button also exists under "appointment" and we would like to disable or hide it as well.  We know we can hide the conference rooms at that point, but we are concerned that will generate calls ("what happened to all the conference rooms?".  Any help with identifying the Command or Control ID for these would be appreciated.

Outlook 2007 to Exchange 2007 via RPC over HTTP to Exchange 2007.

The Add Room button in the lower left corner of a new meeting is missing.
The scheduler still shows autopick next button

Also missing available times on right side of Event box.

Had Outlook 2007 SP1, updated to SP2, all hotfixes available.
Yes, I used File, New, Meeting Request.

Hi there,

I have currently setup some resources calendar for my company. But when im testing them out, i realized that the "Room" button which supposed to be next to "Location" is missing, and i cannot find it in the scheduling assistant either.

Our company is using outlook 2007 and exchange 2003. Could this be the reason causing should problem?

Without the "Room" button, we are not able to use the resources calendar properly.

Is there some settings/ registry change to enable that button again?

I have two issues, firstly when I try and use schedule assistant from outlook 2007, it always comes up and says that it cannot display information, but if I use OWA it seems to work fine.

What causes this?

Secondly, when I create a room it does not allow users to open it as a shared calendar from within outlook why is this? Surely that defeats the point!!!

Thanks in advance

DJW

Hello guys,
We are using Exchange 2007 and lot's of resource mailboxes. Many of them are room mailboxes.
Our users using scheduling assistant and it's great but! Very often we need to find any available room for meeting. Looks through all available rooms and search something available isn't acceptable. Add all rooms, search available one and then delete other - isn't very comfortable.
May be exist any other method of looking for available resource (room or equipment mailbox) for special date and time?
Thank you in advance.
