Option Open shared calendar is missing -Outlook 2007

Option Open shared calendar is missing in case Personal Folders is default.
In case Mailbox is default, option Open shared folder is visible and works.
Is it possible to have default Personal Folders and visible option Open
shared folder at the same time?
In Outlook 2003 it works.

The junk email folder properties synchronization tab is missing outlook 2007 client...only 6 tabs instead of the usual 7..

This seems to be causing some sync issues with the exchange server when opening OWA...also when i look in the send/rec settings/define groups/edit.....there is no check box in front of the junk E-Mail box...any thoughts folks??

thanks

I am Running Exchange 2007 on a Windows 2008 Box.  There are about 40 users that connect to this Excahnge box via Outlook 2007.  I have several Users that have opened Shared Calendars at all times, however one of these users seem to keep having issues with their calendar items disappearing thru out the day and the only fix is to completely close out of outlook and reopen it to allow outlook to pull the information back in from the Exchange Server.

This user on average has three different instances of Oultook open.  She has an outlook window for her Calendar items, an outlook window open for her email, and an outlook window open for her contacts. She also usually has about 10-15 email messages opened that she is working on thru out the day.  Several times a day her calendar items would just disappear.  All the shared Calendars and her personal calendar are still open, but all the items in the calendars are would go missing.  And they would disappear as soon as she moused over a calendar item on any calendar.  To bring them back she just needs to close one of the shared calendars (any shared Calendar). But once she mouses back over a calendar item, they would all disapear again.  She can get all the calendar items to show again by opeing back up the shared calendar she just closed, or closing another shared calendar.  However, this loop will just keep happening once Outlook has already started having this problem.  The only true fix is completly closing out all her Outlook windows and Emails that she has been working on and reopen Outlook again.

This problem is very random.  She can go up to 3 days working the same way without a problem, or she could get this problem every couple of hours.  We have build out a new machine with Fresh installs and Fresh Profiles.  Again, there are about 10 Users that use their Outlook the same way with no problems.  this seems to be specific to her Mailbox and only began when we Installed Outlook 2007.  This problem did not occur while running Outlook 2003.

I am not able to find "Open a shared calendar" link in outlook 2007. Any help
would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have a user who opens our CIO's calendar on her computer. Everything was
working fine up until Monday. Now when she goes to view his calendar, it's
empty. (only on her computer). If you go to his computer, all his
appointments are there. We are running Outlook 2003. Exchange 2007.

He is not here today for me to check permissions but what i have done so far
is delete and re-add the calendar with the file>open>other users folder
option....and used the "open shared calendar" option and no luck. I also
right clicked on the calendar and chose "customize current view" and made
sure the fields are set to "Start, End".

Ideas? Thanks.

I have 2 computers setup outside our network using Outlook Anywhere. Both use Outlook 2003 and connect to a Exchange 2007 server running on Server 2008. All works fine except opening shared Calendars or shared folders. When we click on "Open a Shared Calendar...", a message displays "The connection to the microsoft exchange server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action". However, we are connected to the exchange server. Mail is coming in and mail is going out. Any ideas?Greg

I have OL 2007 running on exchange server 2003. Here is the
scenario:

1. Created new calendar in public folders.
2. Gave "owner" permission to all users in outlook.
3. Trying to open the calendar to view as an overlay of my calendar.
4. Clicked on my calendar and then clicked on the calendar icon on
the
bottom to list available calendars with checkboxes. The new calendar
in the public folders is not there.

Do I need to open the shared calendar first? If so, I can't seem to
find it when I click "open shared calendar".

Thanks!

I have one new lapotp that is running outlook 2007 connected to Exchange 2003.  When Shared Calendars are being viewed from Exchange on this laptop no appointments are displayed.  I also logged in with my domain account and the appointments are not there.  I see them on my laptop but the same user, logged in to his old laptop and can not see them there either.  This lead me to believe the OST or PST file was corrupt.  I ran the ScanPST.exe on the OST and PST files which found errors but after the scan the problem still exists.

We recently migrated users from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 and users are having problems accessing other user calendars that were shared in 2003 but for some reason are no longer working after migration. I see there is a problem for users trying to access shared calendars from mailboxes on the Exch 2010 from mailboxes on Exch 2003, but this one is slightly different that both mailboxes and calendars are on exchange 2010, has any one else found this problem and is there an fix or workaround?

The error that the users get back when trying to open the shared calendar is - The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.

When I check the connection status of the users outlook they are online or connected.

The other problem that the users who are effected have noticed is if they go into the delgates page in the Outlook 2003 option they get a message returned - The delegates page is not available. Unable to access Outlook folder. - The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.

Cheers

I created a master office calendar under my Outlook 2007, setup sharing, and
invited 5 other employees to join. The people running Outlook 2003 cannot
gain access but the other 2007 users can. Is there a workaround, short of
buying 2007 for all users?

Has anybody been experiencing shared calendars disappearing from the
Navigation Pane in Outlook 2007? We are using outlook 2007 with
exchange. We have been trying to use this Calendar functionality
within our company, but difficult to get users to adopt when they
disappear mysteriously. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

When opening the calendar in Office Outlook 2007 the program will not
respond. I can't click on any calendar settings or tack bar. Mail box and
Contact Manager does not occur this problem.

I'm trying to change the calendar view in Outlook 2007 (operating Windows
Vista) to the table/grid view. However, it does not even give me that
option. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

Is it possible to automatically list all company shared calendars in a user's
outlook?

We have a host of shared calendars on Exchange (Rooms, equipment, etc) and
we'd like to have them show up automatically for all users without having to
select Open shared calendar.

Is this possible? Thanks.

I have several calendars shared to me in Outlook 2007. I am on an Exchange
2003 network running both Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007. Sometimes when I log
onto my mailbox and go to my Calendar, the shared calendars in the left pane
are gone and I must re-acquire them. Any idea why this happens?

My assistant, secretary and myself share calendars in MS Outlook 2007 through
MS Office Online. My assistant has rights to modify my calendar but when I
setup my secretary the other day, she is unable to add appointments to my
calendar and she gets a message saying that the folder is read only. I set
them up the same way. My assistant has been modifying my calendar for
months. Is this service not available on new Office Online Accounts?

Hi

Is it possible to setup rules for calendar item in outlook 2007?

What I would like is an email to be sent when a specific calendar items
starts and when it ends.

Is there any other alternative way of doing this from outlook 2007.
