Outlook message font suddenly too small when printed out - but not on screen???

Gurus,

Suddenly my Outlook 2003 emails that I print out to my printer are appearing
in a much smaller font than while viewing them on screen. I went into Tools
Options Mail Format Fonts Message fonts and changed 10 pt. to 12 pt.
but this didn't increase the font as it appeared on my print outs. What am
I doing wrong?

On some incoming HTML email, the font is too small. Doing a quick online
search, apparently this is a problem with how Word 2007 interfaces with
Outlook 2007 while parsing HTML email. So far I haven't read of an actual
permanent solution where the user can upsize the font displayed in an email
message by default. Zooming the message window, or rendering in plain text
are not adequate solutions. Is there no way to set a font size threshold so
that what appears as 8 pt font is seen as 12 pt font?

Fiddling with the defaul font settings in Outlook 2007 does not affect
incoming HTML text as far as I can tell.

Thanks!

I am suprised that starting this afternoon, my outlook 2007 has changed its Font Size to unreadable Font when I want to Reply and Send My Emails. But the default Font is still 11.

How do I solve this problem? Please help.

McPherson

When I try to write a new e-mail, send a reply or edit my tasks in Outlook
2007 fonts are so small on the screen they cannot be read. They are set to
11pts and just started not being visible last week. Ran Office diagnostics
and no problems were found, tried to reinstall from the CD and now it says it
cannot find a compatable upgrade package, even when I put my old Office 2000
CD in. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I don't know if this is a proper place to ask this question so please forgive my asking if it is not. But I was thinking since there are some really sharp people here they may know an answer to my question.

I print emails out of certain relatives for my wife to read. When I get email from my son in law and print out those emails for my wife to read the print is so very small that it is hard to read but at the same time the text size on my screen when reading that same email is normal. I don't think I have this problem with anyone else's email. If I remove the headers from his email before printing then it prints out in normal size. So I am thinking that his email program is sending out formatting to my printer telling it to print in a very small size.

This must be the email program he is using for your information: X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook, Build 10.0.6838.

I am using Eudora V 7.1.0.9 for my email program.

I hope someone here can help me figure out what the problem is and suggest how to fix it so that when I print out his emails for my wife to read that it prints out in normal size of print.

Thank you so much for any help.

When printing out an appointment the printed form shows a dark line and the
words UNKNOWN above the line. Where does this come from and can I get rid of
it on the print out? Also Recurrence shows on the print out but not on the
screen showing that appointment. I am using outlook 2003.
Thanks

I wish to change the 7 day view in outlook calendar so that the days are
diplayed in horizontal blocks not vertical lists. I can do it in print setup
but not on screen.

I recently re-installed Microsoft Professional 2003 and upgraded to the
newest version of explorer. I also downloaded all the upgrades available
from Microsoft. Now when I print emails the font is so small I can barely
read the email. Any ideas on how to adjust this so that it goes back to
normal size?

I've read through posts about font sizes, but I can't seem to find
this one.

My font is too small at the spot:

when u start outlook you have from left to right:: mail | folders|
preview of the email that is in the inbox list.

the preview of the emails to the right are just too small to read.

is there a place in outlook to change the size of that font?

Thanx

I used to print Outlook 2003 Calendar, Daily format using 1/8 Sheet Booklet
paper.
Outlook 2007 fonts are too small, cannot MAKE BIGGER, each 1/8 page is 0.25
inches smaller in every direction. Time/Hours in left margin is TINY.
AGONY!
Unless someone can show me how to fix the fonts and size, Outlook 2007 is
useless to me.

When I try to compose, forward or respond to an email, the font gets too small to read even though it says it's on 12ppt.  Everything comes through normally on reading, but as soon as I try to respond, the font disappears to microscopic proportions.  I have to increase the font size to 48 to be able to read anything.

Every other day or so when printing out an HTML email message, Outlook omits
the envelope information (From: To: Subject:) as if I'm printing out a draft.
What settings do I need to check/change? Thanks

I am just starting to use Outlook 2007. Blane it on my age, but the Font
sizes in the INBOX and reading pane is too small for me. Strange the font
sizes in the Favorite folders and All Mail Items is larger. I went to Tools,
options, mail format.... stationery and fonts and chnaged the size, I did not
see any difference in the Font sizes in the Inbox or Reading pane. Could the
fact I have my Display set at the manufacturers setting 1680x1050 impact this?

Outlook 03 contacts lets you import someones photo. Would be great if it
could include photo when printing out a contact list for a company directory
etc

In outlook 2003 use to be a setting to ingore sender's font and use my font,
In Outlook 2007 can no longer find this setting.
Using Vista
changed, DPI to large scale
changed resolution decreased resolution
changed automatic formatting increased
changed column size formatting increased

But issue client is having is reading the body of a message, i.e. sender
used 8pt or similar small size font, with all the changes made to computer,
the body of messages are still too small for client to read.

Only work around found so far was hitting reply or forward and using the Zoom.

But is there any other options I can set in 2007 to automatically increase
the font size in the body of a receiving email message.

Thanks
