Our small church is getting its outgoing email blocked and we cannot figure
out what to do. We have a shared email account and our messages are sent
through our IP, Verizon.
So the incoming is: mail:church.net
and the outgoing is: smtp.church.net
My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
and my incoming
and Outgoing server (SMTP): 25
Below is the message we keep on getting back:
Task XXXX - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC6F) : 'Your outgoing (SMTP)
e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive
this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider
(ISP). The server responded: 554 mail server permanently rejected message
I've checked all of our Outlook settings with help from our host tech
support and they are as they should be.
We aren't sending out large emails, large distribution lists, or
that are more than a few kilobytes.
The problem is that, as a church, we have emergent needs that depend on
good, reliable, secure communications. If someone could help to direct me so
that I can begin to solve this problem, I would appreciate your help.
