How do I re-establish e-mail contact with one single address?  His e-mails reach me; mine suddenly have stopped getting through to him.  Hi service, earthlink, can find no problems at his end.

How do I re-establish contact with one e-mail address, which worked fine previously?  His e-mails reach me without fail; mine to him suddenly stopeed getting through.  His service says there's no glitch at his end.

Hi there.

We're having massive problems with our exchange 2000 server at the moment, and are running out of ideas.

About a week ago now, emails suddenly stopped getting through to the client pcs, and huge delays were forming. After inspection, the emails were all queued up/stuck in the Exchange Folder.

We tried restarting the exchange services, but these just crashed, and wouldnt start/stop or anything what so ever.

I then checked the System Logs in event viewer, and found it to be full of errors:

Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the W3SVC service.

Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the SMTPSVC service.

Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the RESvc service.

Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the POP3Svc service.

Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the IMAP4Svc service.

Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the IISADMIN service.

These just keep happening over and over again, and the only way to resolve this issue is a restart of our server(which isnt ideal).

After researching into the matter a bit, We tried to re-upgrade/install Exchange 2000 service pack 3, just incase there was an issue there. I downloaded it, tried to install it, but it wouldnt let me just to us already having the most current version.

Any ideas what else we can try, or whats going on? Ive just read you cant Uninstall SP3, or I doubt that would be a good idea anyway.

Please advice

Kind Regards

RJ

Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time to read this post.

I have a user whose sent email suddenly stopped being saved to the
sent folder. This is the same for all messages; new, replied and
forwarded. I have checked all of the settings (several times). The
email options and advanced email options are as they should be. All
of the messages appear to have been received. However since many of
our clients tend to lose things, having these messages saved is
imperative.

I even saw mention that the sent items folder might have a size
limit. I tried clearing some stuff out. That didn't work either.
Someone please help.

Thanks
Jeremy

There are particular email domains that gets through Outlook 2007 junk mail
filter-- @stockprofiler.us and @get.thisstuffcool.net and
@grab.thisdirectoffer.net.
Why do these get through and nothing else?

I have set my junk email settings in OL2003 to the most stringent - Safe
Senders List, international domains and encodings blocked - and junk is still
getting through. What else can I do to stop the spam?

Send test e-mail message: An unknown error occurred, error code: 0x80070005.
I get this error message when I attempt to send emails. The system was
working earlier, but suddenly stopped. I also cannot set a signature for
emails, the buttons simply don't work.

This is a weird issue.

Today it happened for the third time: My exchange server suddenly STOPS accepting mail.

When i test my email-domain using this test:
http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/mail.ch?domain=email%40domain.com - i get this error:
quote:[Could not connect: Could not connect to mail server (connection refused by remote mailserver). NOTE: Per the RFCs, mailservers are allowed to continuously retry this server until it is back online, and not try other MX records (RFC2821 3.9).]The server has been completely untouched, so theres no reason why it would happen! A restart is needed before it accepts mail again (i tried restarting the exchange services, but it didn't help).

Does anyone have an idea why it happens?

I set up 4 public folders mail enabled. I set the appropriate permissions, anonymous getting contributor. I have users trying to email them and not getting through. They get the message: "The message reached the recipients e-mail system but delivery was refused. Attempt to resend the message. If it still fails contact your system administrator".
All public folders are configured exactly the same. I thought it was a public folder issue but I had someone from that area of the world (Australia) send test messages to our Exchange server here in Canada. It could get through to 2 of the public folders but not the other 2. The person also would get the same bounce back from a regular email account. So the test messages get through to some public folders and some email accounts. When I send from 3 of my outside accounts (yahoo, hotmail and gmail) I get through no problem to all public folders.
I don't think this is a spam filtering issue on our side. Can someone shed some light on this?

I block email addresses and yet some of them still get through. I check that
the addresses are in the list of blocked addresses. No matter what I do, the
emails from these addresses end up in my inbox. Please help

Two of my contacts can receive my emails but their replies do not get
through, even if they attach them to my emails. They don't go into spam and
my contacts do not get a message saying the email was not delivered. I would
love to know what happens to these emails - where do they go??? One contact
is with AOL and one with Tiscali. I use Outlook 2003.

This just happened to me last night - I posted a little bit ago and had not
found your post until now.....

I have been using two different Hotmail accounts through Outlook-XP for the
past four years without problem. Suddenly (as of Sunday September 21, 2008)
both accounts have stopped working. Every send/receive operation generates
a string of

"(folder): Synchronizing headers.' reported error (0x800CCC3E) : 'The server
does not support the required HTTP methods.'"
error messages - one error message for each folder, for each account.

I have reviewed/reconfigured the setup of each account. This failure only
plagues the Hotmail HTTP accounts. My POP3/SMTP and IMAP accounts all work
without problem. I can access both accounts through Internet Explorer
without any difficulty; the problem only appears in Outlook.
No changes were made to my system between the time it worked and the time it
stopped working. I am running Windows-XP Pro SP3 with Office-XP Pro
(Outlook), also SP3. Microsoft Update reports everything is up-to-date.
Anti-virus scans find nothing. Windows Defender scans also find nothing. I
have tried searching Hotmail/Windows Live Help Central, Microsoft's Support
Knowledgebase, and even done a Live Search web search on this error - all
without success.

Any help in resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Signed,
Exasperated and Losing Patience.

I set up 3 email accounts in outlook 2007, aol, hotmail & msn. They were all
working for roughly a day then the hotmail and msn account stopped delivering
me any mail at all, all i get through is the aol mail. It won't let me
repair it either.

Help my Outlook 2003 Junk email filters have suddenly stopped working...

Anyone else having problems, anyone got a solution/know how to turn it back
on?

Steve

I'm trying to register an account at LogMeIn, but the confirmation
emails they are sending me appear to be being blocked by Exchange on
our SBS 2003 SP1 server. All other mail is getting through to me OK.

I can see the emails listed in the Exchange log files and I have added
their IP address range to the Accept list in Connection Filtering, and
the Connection Filter for the virtual SMTP server has been turned on.

Does anyone have any ideas on what else I need to do?

Hi guys.

Yesterday my exchange server suddenly stopped receiving mails.
I can send out mails not problem, but replying to them I get a Delivery Status Notification (Failure)‏ message.
I did a server reboot, that did not cure it.
I can telnet in to the STMP mail port of the server from within my network.
I can telnet in to the STMP mail port of the server from outside my network.

Is there any other procedures I can perform to solve this issue?
Is there a program that can troubleshoot my exchange server, to find the fault?

VERY IMPORTANT intermittent email issue.

Hi all,

I’m really hoping someone can help.

6 months ago I rebuilt our exchange server and all has been working well until a few months ago.

The problem is intermittently emails from internal users are not reaching the external recipients located all over the world.

The really annoying thing is, the only way I know if emails do not get through is by users saying they haven’t had a response OR by rebooting the exchange server. I say rebooting the exchange server because it’s the only way an NDR is generated.

As the picture shows, looking at the Message Tracking Center, the email trail stops at “SMTP: Message Submitted to Advanced Queuing” until I rebooted the server on 21:15 02/06/2008 then it continues the process.

BT is our ISP and they say the MX record and reverse DNS is set up correctly and we are not on a black list.

What I’m confused about it why it’s intermittent, one day emails to a specific person can all go through but on another day they don’t?

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Tom.
