why is my microsoft outlook not responding?

when I click on my microsoft outlook to read my emails it freezes before
fully loading the page and then says not responding. I have a new comp, and
have only just installed it as a trial edition. This is the 1st lot of emails
ive had. I read a few just after downloading the outlook, and then closed it.
When I went to open it again the problem started.

My outlook 2003 is constantly crashes with the message "Microsoft Outlook
not responding" has anyone any idea why? I have recently linked my sky
account to outlook could this have caused the problem?

HI,

I can't open my microsoft outlook 2002 anymore; everytime it freezes and
mentions the error NOT responding.

The way it started was because I got Mailer Deamon email stating that they
couldn't find one of my recipients and of course as I have the Preview
options, everytime I open Outlook it freezes.

Please let me knowif you have any solutions for this issue.
Thank you,

Adeline

my microsoft outlook 2010 trial is not sending/receiving emails. I just downloaded a 2010 trial for microsoft outlook and it was working fine yesterday, and than today when i got up to use it again, i noticed that my emails were not sending/receiving. Nothing is happening. No alert messages are popping up or anything. It doesnt even do the 25%....35%...sending/receving.... Doesnt even respond. Please help!

Also, I'm not sure if maybe my computer updated and did something to the trial. My computer did do a update this morning. Also....when I go under file...there is no account settings, no tools, no help button. I cant seem to access my account information.

Thanks!

Amanda

There is no send/receive button or option in my Microsoft Outlook software. I
can send e-mail fine with Outlook Express but when I try to set up my
accounts in Outlook 2002, even though the setup tests just fine, when I
actually try to send an e-mail, there is no option to send/receive. Any idea
why?

I had to reinstall all my programs when my software got 'corrupted' and now
my hotmail will not load into my microsoft outlook. I have the account as my
default and I've tried to it send/receive (which appears to be working
because I get information on the percentages it is supposed to be sending and
receiving) however, nothing shows up in my inbox (or any other box).

Have several versions of Office 2007 on Vista, XP Home, and XP Proffessional
Platforms. Common problem is that I get an outlook not responding message
(all platforms). Then on the system tray icon there is a message suggesting
something to do with Exchange Server (all of my email accounts configured for
outlook [I have 6] are POP accounts).

The problem is annoying and is not tied to any "send/receive" requests and
will happen when I change from mail views to calender or contacts--and even
when I am going through my contacts.

I also notice similar "hang ups" within Word and suspect that it is an
underlying Microsoft problem--but since it does not "Crash" the machine I
never see a "OK to send information to Microsoft message".

Help is appreciated--thanks in advance!

In need of Help!

I was on with Yahoo for an hour yesterday while we tried to figure out why I
was able to send messages and they were not kept in my Outbox, yet no one was
receiving them. We even deleted my old account and started over. It has to
be an issue with the product at this point. There has and is nothing in my
Drafts or Outbox for the last 4 days, yet I keep getting this "Sending
message 1 of 24" message in the lower right hand corner. I'm not even sure
I'm recieving all my email now. I've recently checked the require auth for
SMTP box to see if that would help and it has not. HELP ME!!!!

When i use outlook it takes at least 3-4 mins to open each email to read even
if it is a new email or one previously read.

Continually I get the message Outlook Not Responding. I send the error
report but the problem has not been resolved. Outlook 2003.

I need to find out how to fix this problem and make my emails open
automatically when clicked on. I have the fastest broadband from sky. I
need to find out why its hardly ever reponding?

Many thanks

My Microsoft Outlook 2002 Crashed and I can not start it even in the safe mode.  I am needing information on reinstalling Outlook.  If I reinstall, will I loose all my emails that I have in Outlook?  Is there a way to find the emails and make a backup of them before I reinstall Outlook.  i.e. As I recall in Outlook Express the folder extension was .dbx and by searching and then making a copy of all the .dbx files, one could backup the email folders as they were without even being in Outlook Express.  Is this type of option available when your using Outlook?

I am running Exchange 2010 SP1 all roles on a single server. The desktop client is Outlook 2010 with all of the latest patches. The workstations are Windows 7 with the latest patches.

Two of our assistants have intermittent problems with Outlook not responding when switching between users calendars, contacts or emails. If you let Outlook sit it becomes responsive.

This problem occurs only with these two assistants. We have a number of other assistants with access to multiple mailboxes who don't have any problems.

The problem occurs whether it's configured to use cache mode or online mode. I've removed the antivirus software from the workstation, disabled just about every Outlook addin. Ran a repair of office. I temporarily disabled the antivirus software on the Exchange Server and Scan Mail. No change.

I added the users to my Outlook and haven't experienced any problems. I removed the additional users from the assistants Outlook and it still enters Not-Responding mode. Perhaps its a problem with her mailbox?

I looked at diagnostic logging on the Exchange server but I'm not sure which modules should be monitored.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I've just performed a clean install of Vista Ultimate on my Dell Precision
M90 notebook and Office 2007 Enterprise on top of that. I've not had
difficulty with this on other machines. Getting a profile setup was very
difficult but was finally accomplished. When Outlook 2007 starts I see the
prompt for the profile but once selected the program hangs. Regardless of how
long it sets, all that is displayed is the Outlook 2007 splash screen and the
frame of where the inbox and mail should be. At the top of the window is the
message "Microsoft Outlook (Not Responding).

Has anyone else seen this. I performed the same install on a desktop a few
weeks ago and it went off without a hitch. I've installed all updates for
both Vista and Office. I've run the repair, twice. I've uninstalled Office
and reinstalled and performed the updates again to no avail.

Any help or insight is appreciated.

In Outlook 2007 I am frequently getting: Inbox - Microsoft Outlook (not
responding). I have slimmed down my inbox and moved items to my archive
folders but I am still getting the problem. Does anyone know how I might
solve this problem?

I can't send any news article from MSN because my computer can"t start
Microsoft Outlook. It tells me the .DLL dile for the information couldn't be
found. It tells me that MAPI was unable to load the information service
PSTPRX.DLL. It tells me to be sure the service is correctly installed and
configured. Well, I'm not sure if my Microsoft Outlook is installed and
configured correctly. I may need serious technical assistance on this issue.
AND YES I DO HAVE THE MIRCOSOFT OUTLOOK ICON ON MY COMPUTER.

why is my inbox , written in german in my outlook and how do i change it to
english?

Can someone help me every time I delete an email in my outlook 2003 program
my Outlook 2003 locks out and becomes completely innoperable, a Microsoft
reporting window then opens to file a report back to Mr Gates himself (I
assume) Outlook then sloooooowly closes down then outomatically opens up
again but in a very sticky and unstable form. I have been told it is because
I have deleted some files. I have deleted none whatsoever in fact I got this
program for christmas and have been forced to re format my hardrive over 8
times now in an attempt to fix the problem ....
I am beginning to hate anything with Microsoft written on it. so why is my
microsoft Outlook so unstable.... ? Thanking you in anticipation ....

When I go to click on my calendar - it comes up not responding and the mouse
pointer starts spinning in a blue circle. The only way to close it is via
the task manager. This only just started happening this morning. I have
tried a few things and nothing has worked. Please help. Thanks.

A couple of months ago, I started getting thousands of 326 or 342 B size emails, addressed to no one and from no one with no subject dumped into my Microsoft Outlook account. I have had two computer techs come and try to fix it, and neither have seen it happen and have no idea on how to filter them out.  They didnt seem to be impacting anything, but now when I file emails from my inbox into some of my account folders, they disappear. Sometimes they disappear right from my inbox.  My email is forwarded from my work email server and from my free msn account. Has anyone had this happen? These emails do not appear in my msn account when I check it directly on line.

Just a few moments ago my microsoft outlook program has a clouded look and it will not operate. I cannot navigate through it or download any emails. It will not allow me to operate it and it looks all clouded. What do I do?

Hi,

Is anyone else having problems with outlook not responding today. This has been going on for almost 2 hours now. Or is it just me

Luba

I have Vista Ultimate and MS Office Small Business. I can not get Outlook
2007 to function correctly. I keep getting "Microsoft Outlook Not
Responding". This happens on every function of Outlook that I try. Any
suggestions?

When I open Outlook it starts to open then I receive the following message,
"Microsoft Outlook (Not Responding). It eventually opens after a couple of
minutes. Is there a fix.

Why is my pst so large? It is 162 mb. But it only contains about 575
e-mails, included deleted items. Also, I have software that removes
attachments and leaves only a link in the pst. If you took all of the text,
and put it into a wordprocessing program, it wouldn't be more than a 1 mb.

I don't like having such a large pst because it slows up my daily backups.
I know I can archive some of the e-mails, but with only 500 emails (not
including the deleted items), spanning 2.5 months, it shouldn't be necessary
to do that. Does the size of the pst sound normal sound normal?
