I see plenty of info on adding holidays to Outlook calendars, but nothing
about adding them into exchange server so that a) all current calendars
in everyone's outlook client is updated, and b) any new calendars created
(shared or private) will have the holidays. Any pointers? Thanks very
much.

I can not get the 2006 holidays loaded on outlook calendar. Every time I say
"add holidays" it adds to all previous years . . . consequenty holidays are
listed 5 times on each of the holidays prior to 2005 . . . nothing in 2006.
Help please.

I would like to add pictures to the heading area of the Outlook calendar, is
there a any way to do this?

Any help appreciated,

I have upgraded resources like conference room etc.. on my Exchange 5.5
server from Scheduler+ Version 7 to Outlook calendar by running export from
Scheduler then import in you Outlook Calendar and now I have end up with two
files where some of the users are writing to calendar and some of them to
scheduler.

How can I get rid of the Scheduler?

Thank you.

I have Outlook 2007 and I want to add a hyperlink to an email "add to
outlook calendar" to invitees
to an event. I was under the understanding that you had to sign up for office
online and then publish a calendar as I did, and then save a file from the
published calendar and create a hperlink from that file
By mistake I then deleted the additional calendar that was tiled in my
outlook.
I cant seem to be able to get it to view again even if I publish a calendar
....any advise?

Does anyone have any recomendations about good software companions for
Outlook calendar?

We currently use Zimbra - which allows a web-base sharing of calendars
within our organization. Once you (or someone else) sets up a meeting
or other such event in Zimbra, it syncs with your own Outlook calendar
- not unlike Microsoft NetMeeting.

The problem is that it's not reciprical - so folks don't have the
luxury of adding events to Outlook calendar and having that
automatically sync up with the Zimbra web-based client so folks can
see it.

And let's not even get into Blackberries and palms and other toys.

Is there any web-based software that allows syncing up as well as
syncing down with Outlook Calendar, etc?

Thanks!

Is it possible to use the "Add to Outlook Calendar" (button) in an email
rather than sending a meeting invitation that gets accepted or declined?

I'm using MS Office 2003, and I'd like to add an "add meeting to outlook
calendar" link to an email or a MS Office document.

we're trying to import from google calendar to outlook calendar. if we
choose to import via import/export wizard, we do not get a "replace
duplicates with items imported" option when we choose the "import an
icalendar etc" option..resulting in duplicate entries. it is inefficient to
delete each entry manually - you end up duplicating/triplicating for the
whole year!

I have set-up a spreadsheet with milestone dates and want the dates imported
to Outlook Calendar.

How do I assign a hotkey on my keyboard to pop me straight to the calendar
from any application. I don't want to open a new Outlook window, just change
the existing Outlook window to view the calendar. I know I can press Ctrl-2
from within Outlook.

I know that I can launch a new Outlook 2007 window showing the calendar via
a macro assigned:

"c:program filesmicrosoft officeoffice12outlook.exe" /select
outlook:calendar

Is there a way to do the same thing, but without opening a new window? I
tried adding the /recycle option to the end, but just get an error. I'm not
sure if I know how to use it.

Thanks for any help,
Colin

In 2006, I was using Outlook 2003 in which I created a PST data file to store
my personal messages.

Then in 2007, I migrated to Outlook 2007 and added the old PST file via
Tools Options Mail Setup Data Files Add (Browsed for my PST). My
'Personal Folder' tree got restored fine, and I continued using this PST. I
also created several calendar entries, tasks and contacts painstakingly. I
took regular backups of this 700MB PST file.

Now in 2008, I do not have access to my old laptop and I have a new exchange
server to connect to (yes, switched my job). On the new laptop, I added the
old PST file via Tools Options Mail Setup Data Files Add (Browsed for
my PST) in Outlook 2007. In the 'Personal Folders' tree, I got all my mails
back. Also I can click on the ‘Calendar’ and ‘Tasks’ buttons and see the
appointments and tasks in the PST file. But the ‘Contacts’ button yields a
empty list.

If I go to address book, 'Global Address book' shows exchange server
contacts, but my personal contacts stored in the PST file are gone. 'Outlook
address book Contacts' entry is there but no contacts in there.

Can anybody tell me where my contacts have disappeared?

I'm trying to import an excel file into an outlook calendar. It goes through
the process, but nothing appears on the calendar. I have two calendars and
double checked that it isn't going onto the other one.

I first exported an appointment from the calendar so I could get the format
then I changed a few things and re-imported-but nothing appeared. I've tried
Excel workbook and csv and all times it appears blank. I've tried adding
more appointments, but nothing changes.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal

After furious head scratching, NurseNancy asked:

Have looked around a lot on the net and can't find a clear answer to
something I hope is simple. I'm the webmaster (FrontPage 2003) for a small
non-profit. They asked if there were any way to put an "Add to my Outlook
Calendar" link next to new events we post.

I was able to create an .ics (iCalendar) file and add that to the site, but
when I link to it, Firefox just opens it as text and IE just puts it in an
obscure folder (C:Documents and SettingsAll
UsersDocumentsiMacrosDownloads) so neither actually added it to Outlook.

I'm not loyal to doing this via an .ics file if there's a better way...what
I'm seeing out there just keep implying that that's the way to do it...but
without enough follow through for me to get it to work.

Someone on a blog said that it can be done via Outlook Online, which I'd
never heard of before, but I tried logging on to that and couldn't find any
help on it there.

Clearly, there must be a way, since i see it on sites, but this semi-novice
without a ton of technical training is stumped.

Info would be appreciated!!! Thanks so much!

Help, We use calendars for meeting room bookings. My boss wants to add a
phone number to the calendar of one of the rooms so that people can go to the
address list see the calendar and see the phone number of the meeting room
like with mailboxes. Is this possible I cannot find a way to do it other
than renaming the calendar and putting the phone number on the end. The
calendars are setup as Public folders in Exchange 2003/outlook 2003.
thanks

Can you pull up a report or search in Outlook Calendar XP 2002 to find
changes in items that have been added to the calendar? For example, on
02/09/06 my boss adds something to his calendar. The next day, on 02/10, can
I search to find out if he made any changes to his calendar between 02/01 and
02/10?

How would I do this? If not, is there some way of electronically find out,
so I don't have to compare every day of the month to see if he added or
changed anything? Please help. Thank you very much!

What are my options for adding holidays (and perhaps company events) to personal calendars with Exchange 2003 and Active Directory? Optimal solution would be something server side with little or no user action required.
Here's what I've looked at so far:

Holiday file run in logon script
This is still a potential solution but the problem is, is that users still have to checkmark the right boxes and press ok. If the user presses cancel, the script will think that the holidays have been added and it won't try to add again.

ExMerge
ExMerge works flawlessly, the only problem is that the calendar has to be added to each user individually through their email alias. This can take a long time and is definately not sustainable.

Any other methods, programs, or scripts that people know of that might be able to help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I want to export my outlook calendar meetings to excel so I can view and sort them. And I've got the exporting part down. It makes an excel column for subject, location, description etc.

But is there a way to make additional fields to describe an event such as meeting purpose and meeting type so that I get an excel column for those fields as well? Thanks so much for the help.

Will

I work in an academic department that runs monthly workshops. The e-mail is sent to faculty DL and they can reply if they would like to attend.

Currently, we must reply to each e-mail with a confirmation e-mail. We would like to have a small icon or link that the faculty can click on that would add the event to the faculty member's Outlook calendar, as well as send us an e-mail notification that the person would like to attend the workshop.

I'm not sure if you can help with this, but I've tried Google searches to no avail. Is it possible? (I'd love to believe anything is possible.)

I hope that you're not too busy to respond; any ideas, information, or even a formal name for the process would be of great assistance.

Thanks,
Echo

Outlook 2003 w/Bus Contact Mgr only comes with holidays through 12/31/2007.
There is a download to add 2008 to 2012. I have downloaded the update and it
will not execute because it says a previous update included this change.

The file (Outlook.hol) date seems to indicate the right date 9/12/2006
(according to the MS info), so the new holidays should be available, but they
are not listed or displayed in Outlook Calendar.

I have followed the resolution suggested by MS when it appears the holiday
file may not have been updated and that doesn't work, again probably because
my system will not allow me to run the update because it was contained as
part of some past downloaded update. Can anyone help with this conundrum?

I have 2 email accounts one is '@msn.com' and I have added it to outlook no
problem.

I have another email account '@myavon.co.uk' and am having real trouble
adding this as I do not know the email server name or URL that avon use for
these accounts. I have asked them the question but they do not seem to
understand what I am asking.

Is there anyway I can add this to my outlook to be able to send and receive
emails or what do I need to ask Avon for them to understand what I need?

Any help or guidence will be greatly received. Thanks

Hi
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to link a cell in excel which has a
formatted date so that it alerts me automatically in my outlook calendar?
