Outlook 2003 and Word 2007

Is it possible to make Word 2007 work with Outlook 2003? I have purchased
the Student Teacher edition of Office 2007 and it doesn't come with
outlook.....so I still use outlook 2003; however, Word 2007 will not work
with the old Outlook. Is there any work arounds?

Can I make outlook 2003 use word 2007 for spell check?

I have Microsoft Office 2007. Because it doesn't come with Outlook but only
Outlook express in used my Office 2003 to grab the Outlook program. My work
wouldn't spring for the 2007 version of Outlook. The 2003 version won't grab
the 2007 word program for the spell checker. Is there anyway to get around
this. I tried downloading the 2003 Word program also and they starting
causing complications with both programs on the same system.

I was using Outlook 2003 configured with Exchange 2003 in the company.
Recenty I installed MS Office word,Excel & Power point 2007 in the same pc.

Now when a mail arrives to Outlook 2003, a message box with the following
message pops up.

"Please wait while windows configures Office 2007 Professional Plus"

The order in which I installed Outlook 2003 and word, excel, ppt 2007 etc is
by installing 2003 first.

I would like to use Word,Excel & PPT 2007 along with Outlook 2003 in same pc
with out any issues.

Is it possible to use Outlook 2002 and WORD 2007? I have no reason to
upgrade to Outlook 2007 but I really need WORD 2007.

I would like to continue to use Outlook 2003 with Word 2007. Should I
expect any problem in doing so? Such as - will the Word Editor
feature work as when I use Word 2003?
Thanks.

Is it possible to email infopath 2007 - form using Outlook 2003? We got
problems to find the "send email to recipients" from infopath form with
client using outlook 2003.

If it is possible, what requirements is it for using outlook 2003 and
infopath 2007?

I have an Office 2007 package with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Accounting, and
Publisher as well as a seperate copy of Access 2007. My issue is that I do
not have Outlook 2007, and 2003 will not let me use Word 2007 as my text
editor. Is there any way around this without buying Outlook 2007?

"The only thing worse than an employee that just quits and leaves, is an
employee that quits and doesn''t leave."

I have users using Windows XP Pro SP3, With Office XP, Outlook 2003 and a
virtual layer of Word 2007. Since adding the Word 2007 virtual layer my users
are having intermittent problems with receiving HTML emails which have the
subject line but the body is blank. If they do a reply they cannot type in
the body either. If they change the format to plain or rich text then they
can read the text. I have looked out there on the web and cannot find a
resolution.

Don't say use only one version of Office (I wish) the money to upgrade is
not in the budget and we have a new application that requires Word 2007.

Thanks for any help!

I currently have Outlook 2003 and trying to export the names and addresses to
Word 2007 to create mailing labels. The only information transfering to the
labels is one name and address (vs. all that I have selected using the export
wizard). Is there a work around? It appears there may be some sort of
compatability issue between the versions of different years. Thanks for your
help.

I just upgraded to MS Office Home and Student edition. I did not upgrade to
Office 2007. I am still running Outlook 2003. Autocorrect will not correct as
I am typing. I have checked all the boxes for autocorrect in Tools, Options,
Spelling etc but nothing will work.
Any suggestions?

I have a number of public folders in Outlook 2003 and in there I have put a
number of Word documents. I have also tried putting .dot (Templates) but
when outlook opens the .dot it does not create the usual Document1 .doc in
Word 2003, it allows users to edit the .dot which defeats the object of
..dot's.

Any help welcome, thanks

Try this and see if you have the same problem as me and all of my users.
It's only minor but rather annoying at times and as there is no real option
of reporting this to Microsoft, I thought I'd come here.

Open up Outlook 2003 and open a window to create a new mail and leave it open.
Open Word 2003 and a document.
Attempt to close just the document and Word will close down altogether.

Close the new mail window
Open Word 2003 and a document and then close just the document
Word stays open.

I know that removing the link in Outlook 2003 to use Word 2003 as the
default e-mail editor makes the issue go away but then you lose all of the
functionality that is supposed to be there.

If anybody has a solution I would be impressed.

BTW I have all of the latest service packs for both products installed

Thanks all

Phil

I have changed the normal.dot template using Word so that I have the
paragraph formatting that I want; however when I create a new email from
Outlook 2003 (using Word as editor) the formatting is not what I saved.

Can someone help please?
Sid.

My friend has to replace his old laptop. I helped load the new laptop with
Outlook 2003, loaded Office SP3, then loaded Office 2007 (Home Edition). He
said the following is not working:

1. Autocorrect and autodetection of language (so that Outlook knows which
dictionary to use) - I looked around and saw that SP3 causes problems with
autocorrect. Downloaded HotFix 945430. Ran the various options on the
hotfix. Didn't fix the problem. So, I uninstalled the office apps and
reinstall again. But, autocorrect and auto languague detection are still not
working. Is this problem caused by Outlook 2003 and Word 2007? How can this
be fixed?

2. Signature - his signature has a picture on it. Before the reinstall,
the emails showed the picture. After the reinstall, I can't get the picture
to show. What can be wrong?

Thanks.

I wish to run Word 2003 and Word 2007 on my PC. I realise that Outlook should
run on Word 2003 but I cannot configure this successfully. Each time I go to
options and tick Word 2003 as my editor I get a message that this version
doesn't exist on my PC which is wrong. I have rebooted the PC several times,
reinstalled my 2003 version and I still lose the Word 2003 editing fuctions
for my Outlook. Is there a default option to run Outlook always on Word 2003
Editor? Thank you for any help.

I am using both Office 2007 and Office 2003 on my machine. I have not
installed Outlook 2007, but am using Outlook 2003 as my default mail client.
I cannot use Word 2007 as a Text Editor for Outlook 2003 - it gives me an
error saying version not compatible. Is it possible to manually override
outlook 2003 to link with only word 2003 and not word 2007?

After installing Word 2007, Outlook 2003 will not allow me to use Word (2003
or 2007) as my email editor any longer. Help!

I intend to get Office 2007 (Home & Student version), and woul like to know
if I can continue using Outlook 2003 with it as the 2007 Home and Student
version does not come with Outlook?
Will word 2007 be compatible as the text editor to Outlook 2007?

I have Word 2007 and Outlook 2003. Is there any way to use Word 2007 as the
editor for Outlook 2003?
