Outlook Spell Check 2007 not working

Subject: Outlook Spell Check 2007 not working

I am running Outlook 2007 under Vista . . . also Microsoft Word 2007.

The spellcheck does not work in my outlook email messages . . . I can type
all sorts of gobbly-gook (for instance, "erqw30uavoiuwer") . . and the
spell checker says "spell check completed" . . . but does NOT find ANY errors.

The speller checker works fine in Microsoft Word 2007 . . . but does not
work at all in Outlook 2007.

What gives?

How to fix it?

Thanks for anybody's help!

Ive seen many people have problems with Outlook's spell checking in
their signatures.

Does any have solution for signature where there is logo at the top,
middle text (i make it 'type here' for my clients) and bottom part
with adress, disclaimer etc. Spell check does not work then (its
outlook 2003).

I obviously set 'always suggest replacements for mispelled words' and
'check before sending'. Also word is chosen to edit emails.

THe only way now to make it check is to sleect text then tools -
language - set language and untick ' do not check spelling or
grammar'. I wished it was possible to set it once forever to be
unticked but havent found the way to do this. Even with it unticked it
will only underline worng spelled words - no suggestion on right
click.

I managed to solve it for new emails when setting this signature file
as stationery :D But my client wont accept it not working for replies.

I found the way to go over it with removing logo and 'type here' text
but then its types in black (need to change it manually) and on the
very left (my signature in html is centered table with padding for
text). Client finds it unacceptable and does not believe its not
possible.

Please tell me there is a way to make it 'spell checkable' by default
without using any tricks or there is any way Microsoft will make it
possible or I will loose client.

Some people in my client's company have outlook 2007 - I was unable to
find a way to put own stationery over there, and so spell checking
does not work even for new emails :/

Outlook spell check does not work in reply or forward emails, new email just fine. Tried reinstalling all office 07 and outlook by itself. Worked a couple of times and then reverted back to no spell check. Vista OS

Hi using MS office pro 2003 the spell check does not work in outlook or word.
options are set correctly but grammer settings are shaded in grey so can not
be used.
Any ideas on getting this working

thank you Dave

I am using Office 2003 and spell check does not work at all, in Word or
Outlook. Can someone tell me the settings I must have changed something to
make this happen

The spell check in Outlook 2007 seems to be not working. I have the
whole Microsoft Office 2007 installed on Vista. I go into all the setting and
everything looks correct, but when I type anything in a email it will not
catch it. I was not sure if I am missing a place that would have a few more
options that I will need to change.

Thanks for any help

I copied and pasted a portion of an email i received to a new page. then my
font and font color defaults changed. i was able to reset them but my
automatic spell check does not work. yes i reset the spell check default
selections but to no avail. a friend said cpoying and pasting of the email
somehow reset my selections.

i am a novice so be gentle.........

We are migrating to Office 2007. We have approx. 600 users on Office 2007.
We are using Windows XP SP2, Office 2007 with Exchange 2003 SP2. Several
users have called in reporting that spell check is not working. Words are
misspelled, will do a spell check, and the spell check does not find them.
Another user performs a spell check and when they right click on the
misspelled word, words appear but they are grayed out so the user cannot
select the correct spelling of the word.

I have looked for the Override folder in the registry, but this does not
exist. I have checked all settings. This is sporadic and not happening to
all users. We have uninstalled and resinstalled Office 2007, created a new
Outlook profile, ran an Office Diagnostics, nothing seems to fix this issue.
Anything else we can do to resolve this issue?

I have a computer that has office pro 2007 and Spell Checking does not work
in Outlook 2007 if the languate is set to English (U.S.). Spell Check works
fine in Word which confuses me. If I change the language to English (U.K.) or
some other English it work fine but if I switch back to English (U.S.) it
will not automatically check and if you run a spell check it comes up
finished with no problems found.

I have done some searching on the net and found where people have removed
Registry entries which I have tried with no luck.

All of the settings say it is turned on but Outllok 2007 spell check is not
working??

working??

I have tried all of these suggestions and none of them work.  Spell check simple stopped working in Outlook 2007.  It works fine in Word but does not find a single deliberately misspelled word in any outgoing emails.  Does anyone know how to fix this latest MS bug?

My work recently updated us from Microsoft 2003 to 2007. However, the spell
check does not work in hardly any of the applications, word, outlook, excel?
I have went to the options and proofing sections in all of them and turned on
the spell check, but it doesn't catch hardly anything or underline misspelled
words in red or use green for punctuation. How do I fix this?

Outlook 2003, spell check no longer working. I created a signature message
and now spell check is not working. Any suggestion on how to correct?--

My spell check is working in Word 2000 but has recently stopped working in
Outlook 2002. I'm not sure what caused this problem , I need help!

I just upgraded to Office 2007. Spell check was not working correctly. I
checked in Word and in Outlook and both say English. Upon a little further
digging I found the only words in the diconary are the ones that I had added
throughout the past couple of years. otherwise simple words like - teusday,
weth, bea - went unchecked and incorrect. In Word Options, there is a tab for
proofing, I click it and there is only one dictonairy "custom.dic (default)"
in English. Just below that it says "French modes" .
Where oh where did my diconary go?
Thank you

can someone help me set up my otlook message. When i use a blank message, the
spell check works fine. But when i use a custom signature with my business
card, the spell check stops working. This is in outlook 2007

I have Office 2007 with language set as English. However, Outlook spell check
is
set up in French with no option to change through the Tools menu. How do I
get spell check to work in English? The manufacturer, MDG, is not able to
help & has
refered me to MS.

We have a signature with an image at the top, and text at the bottom. We
are wanting to type in the space between the image and the text. when
Word is set as the email editor, spell check will not work in the
signature area. Is there any switch to make Outlook check the signature
by default?

Google has confirmed this is the situation, but there is not solution
(that I have found) to make it automatic. I can do it on an individual
basis.

Thanks

Please help me! My spelling and grammar check is not working in Outlook or
in Word. After I attempt to check my spelling, I receive a message that says
it is complete and that "Text Marked with Do Not Check Spelling or Grammar
was Skipped." What does that mean? HELP!!!
