email stuck in send and won't delete

I have an email stuck in sent and will not allow me to delete, move or cancel.
I originally was sending one with pictures and when it wouldn't send I
copied it and made the pictures much smaller and sent the same message to the
same address and it worked.
The one stuck has an error message that says:
"Can't open this item. Outlook has already begun transmitting this message."
I have even tried reinstalling the disk and option to repair, and tried to
reinstall and I get eror messages.
How can I get rid of this partially sent message?

My emails get stuck in my outbox and won't send. This just developed and I
don't know what started it. Things were fine until recently. Comcast says
this is not their problem. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I have two emails stuck in the inbox I cannot delete

I have an email with a large attachment of photos that is stuck and won't
send to a distribution group. How can I delete it?

A few weeks ago, I sent out five emails that contained large zip folders. Two of the five went through, but the last three won't. They keep trying to send and are causing my outlook to stop responding. I no longer need to send these emails and can't delete them. How could I get these to stop trying?

I actually have a few problems right now and would appreciated any insight.  I am running office 2007 on Win 7 using Outlook, not Express.
1.  I have a distribution list of about 150 email addresses, well below the max for outlook I believe.  I transferred it over in .pst when I purchased this new laptop a few months ago.  Distibution list worked fine on old system, xp and office 2003.  Can't get any distribution lists to work properly on new system, even with only 2 or 3 recipients, it fails.  I get a message that says too many recipients.
2.  Sent an email with a large attachment over a week ago and it is still stuck in my outbox and won't delete.  Slowing things down drastically.  Distribution list problem was occurring prior to the outbox issue so I don't think they are related.
3.  I can open outlook from any of my icons or from the start menu when the computer starts up, but if I close it and try to reopen, it doesn't open.  Also does not show up in taskmanager so it's not running in the background somewhere.

Thanks for any help.   These problems are seriously affecting my work right now.

This has happend a few times, but I'm having a difficult time getting rid of an email stuck in the Outbox. I cannot delete it though it did send. I can even forward the email, but still not delete it.

I'm in Online mode. I've tried deleting it using OWA. I put Outlook 2007 in Cache mode, and the email doesn't show up. Once I put it back online the email is still in the Outbox.

I've removed my profile altogether and added it back. Still no luck.

The above link did work for me, but it's trialware. I had the same problem
twice, a few months apart, and the second time I couldn't use it without
paying for it. But Microsoft puts out a free utility that will get the job
done. Try:

http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/deletereadreceipt.htm

Using microsoft outlook 2003 and have a large file that is stuck in outbox
and will not delete, send itself, allow itself to be moved/dropped into a
deleted folder, etc.

I called roadrunner CC and they could not get it to delete by going into

tools....options....email options....and unchecking the 'send messages
immediately' box.

Any idea how i can delete this large 47MB file? it prevents any other emails
i send from leaving the outbox for a full day or more.

Thanks

I have an email stuck in the outbox. I can't open it or delete it. It goes

As it says in the subject: I've got a 15MB email stuck in the Outbox. It's
been trying to send for over three days. I've received some error notices,
telling me that I have a too large of file. I tried the 3 suggestions in
Outlook Help with no help. I would like to delete this email. Could someone
help me?

When I try to delete an e-mail that is stuck in outbox it won't delete. I've
tried repeatedly to delete but it won't go away. Quite annoying!

Anyone have any ideas on how I get rid of this problem (and what is causing
this to happen)?

Any help appreciated!

Thanks!

ever since I tried to send an email with a large 90MB word document
attachment my send/receive won't work with my email. I tried to delete these
2 emails that are stuck in my outbox but I keep getting an error message:
"the messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart outlook." I've tried to restart, restart in safe mode, run
detect and repair.... but nothing works. I tried to do a general delete of
the entire outbox but the drop down selection is greyed out.
Please help.

I attached too many photos to my email and now it's stuck in the outbox (for
2 weeks) and just keeps trying to send but won't go. I can't delete it from
the outbox as it says it's already started to send but no result after 2
weeks. Please let me know how to get rid of it.

Many thanks.

Large e-mail stuck in outbox and it won't let me delete. How do I get it out?

I have Outlook 2007 and I am trying to send an email to with 2 files attached
to one person and copy 2 other people. The email is still in outbox and
won't let me delete it. It says "Outlook has already begun transmitting this
messag." But is has been hours and it won't go through.

I have a gmail account, and for the past 2 years I've been using outlook to
manage emails on my computer. However lately my outlook has been stuck in
this loop. It begins to sucessfully download new emails since my last sync,
however it gets to one email (it's 3.7 mb) and cannot fully download it. It
then begins the process all over again. After about a day of doing this, I
have about 276 copies of the first 4 emails it sucessfully downloads. I know
you may say to just delete it, but it's actually an extremely important email
I'd like to keep for records. There may be ways to manipulate this in order
to get Outlook to skip this one email, but I want to know why Outlook isn't
downloading. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

An email in Send won't go, I have connection. I cannot delete it because the msg says email "Can't open Outlook has already begun transmitting".

Hi all,

I have a problems with the 2007 version from time to time.
I mean that in most cases it works fine, but about 10% of sending operations
fail. I noticed that in most cases this happens when I do not puush to
send/receive (do not press F9) and Outlook is trying to send emails on
scheduled Send/Receive task.

Symptoms: Email Sending task as well as Receiving just stops, and after some
period just closes w/o errors and do nothing... Nothing means that no
Sending/Receving are completed from that time for this account (account is
POP3, internal for our company).
Moreover, when I try next time to Send/Receive (button or F9) it just skips
Sending/Receiving tasks for this account. Actually, not just skis them, but
immediately marks them as completed. But no new emails are receiving and
outbox is is not processing...

Anyway, I can delete mesages from the outbox (I mostly use Shift+Del), and
in most cases this fixes the problem for next message (and Receive starts
working).
Restart of Outlook aslso helps.

So, question - any ideas? Is there any (hidden?) settings for the account
that can fix this (remote internet accounts are working fine, this problem
occurs only for a local mail server (lan) account)?

Thanks,
Ivan
