Outlook 2003 will not send email, error ox800ccc78, 5305.7.0 authentication
required. I receive email ok, just can't send!!!!

On December 12, 2006, Microsoft did some sort of update. On that same day,
Outlook would no longer work properly. Here is what it does:
Reply to a message = shutting down and auto restarting and then sending out
message.
Forward = only if the person is in the contact list. No typing can be done
in the "TO:" line of email message screen, shuts down and then restarts to
send out message.
New messages = again only if the person is in my contact list and it must be
added by opening the list and hitting okay. No typing in the to: line.
Contact list = no new additions can be added.

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled with all the updates Microsoft
Office 2003 from my OEM disk. I have looked on the Microsoft download page
for updates. I have spent many hours trying to resolve this issue. Is it a
virus? or an update that Microsoft did? Help!

I have one address that was working earlier today, but Outlook will not send
from it now. It WILL send test messages and says the set-up is fine.

Ideas?

All my other addresses, one from the same servers, work fine.

Outlook will send and receive email very well following restart of computer,
but once one user logs off and another logs on, it will not send or receive.
When I test account settings, it finds the network connection, the outgoing
and incoming mail server, but will not log onto the incoming mail server, and
the test message fails.

Hi,
For the last 4 days, Outlook will not send my messages. It still receives
normally. However, I have to go to my email provider's site (for webmail) in
order to send emails. Of course, there I don't have the messages to reply to
or my Contacts. It's a pain. I spoke with the email/internet provider to make
sure my Incoming (pop3) and Outgoing (smtp) server address info was correct.
It is. However, it still won't send emails. They said it must be something
with Microsoft.

I have Outlook 2003. When I go to Tools, then Email Accounts, and I view my
existing account, I can click "Test Account Settings." This does everything
right except "Find outgoing mail server" (says Failed) and "Send test email
message" (says Failed).

Here is what it says under Errors. "Send test email message: The specified
serve was found, but there was no response from the server. Please verify
that the port and SSL information is correct. To access these settings close
this dialog, then Click More Settings and click on the Advanced tab."

"Find outgoing mail server: Unable to connect to the outgoing mail server
(SMTP). Please verify the server name in the outgoing mail server field. If
that information is correct, close this dialog, click More Settings and
verify the port and SSL information on the Advanced tab."

The server names are correct, as I checked with my provider. What is the
port and SSL? Could these suddenly not be working?

Can anyone please help?! Thank you so much.

When i add a personal signature outlook will not send. I rmove the
signature and outlook works fine, I have removed and reinstalled.
Each time I add a signature if appears as if the message was sent
(including a receipt that the message was recieved) but it never
arrives. Anyone have any ideas??????

Hello,

I am going absolutely crazy as my Outlook 2003 will receive mail just fine,
but will not send mail right away. It may take anywhere from 5 minutes to 5
hours to send a single piece of mail. I have checked with ISP, and they are
not blocking port 25 etc.

I have formatted the hard drive, reimaged the computer 6 times, loaded just
Win XP home and Office 2003 (no firewall, AV etc, except the Windows built
in) and am having the same results. I do not know where to turn to for help.

I am willing to try anything, desperately looking for help.

Looking for a miracle helper....

TIA

Velani

Hello, I just got a new Windows 7 computer and after installing Office XP(SP3), Outlook will receive messages but will not send any messages. I keep getting this message - 553 sorry, that domain isn't allowed to be relayed thru this MTA (#5.7.1). I have Outlook configured to "my outgoing server requires authentication", and checked the box below that says "log onto incoming server before sending". Any suggestions?

Outlook email will not send messages and I keep getting a request for user name and password while I have outlook up.

I have performed all the suggestions on the Microsoft website.
I have paid for a Microsoft Technician to troubleshoot Outlook 2003 regarding Outlook not retaining my password
I have contacted Dell and the Dell Technician uninstalled "Office" and reinstalled "Office"
I have contacted our ISP and they have verified all email settings are correct.
We have created new accounts, new pst. file, Microsoft Tech made changes to registry.

Still, Outlook 2003 will not remember (or retain) my password.

Outlook Express works great and does not ask me for a password.
Thunderbird Works great, no problems

Outlook 2003 has been loaded on my PC for over 1 year with no problems --- then, Nov. 15th I began having "pop- up" asking me for my password.

There has to be someone "out there" that has a solution. The Microsoft Tech told my I would have to wait until Microsoft comes out with a "Hot Patch".

Please give your thoughts.

Thanks,
TRSmith

Outlook 2003 will not load. I get an error message with a big X stating,
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook Window.
The set of folders could not be opened."

Running XP on a Dell Comuter. All other Office Programs work properly. I
have reinstalled several times with the same result. Please tell me what I
need to do.

Even though I have the box, "send immediately when connected" check Outlook
2003 WILL NOT send receive without prompting.

I've searched here on this topic and found others having this same issue but
no resolution has been found yet, is this correct.

This just began after I had a new harddrive and software installed, but all
my data was restored.

I am having this problem with Outlook 2003 with Windows XP. When I test my
email accounts (3 in all) with my ISP server , I get the nice green check
marks that the send and receive to POP and SMTP are OK and a test message is
sent to my ISP . ....but Outlook 2003 will not send or receive an email. The
emails just sit there and when I hit send/receive nothing happens and no
error messages. I know the test email was sent Ok because I see it when I
check on a different computer.

I have tried everything including reinstallng Outlook 2003 (Office 2003),
disabling my Norton 360, running in safe mode, changing every setting
possible, and still messages sit in the outbox. Before all the problems, I
did have to do a repair on Windows XP because of a boot up problem with
Windows.

About ready to give up on Outlook 2003 and just starting using my ISP
provider (Cox) for getting emails...because that is where I can actually see
the test messges were sent.

Any suggestions?

Outlook 2007 will not send email.  When Send Button Clicked, Receive "Operation Failed and Object Not Found" message from Outlook.   Can anyone help with this issue?

For some reason my Outlook 2003 will not close when I exit. The program
disappears but the Outlook Icon remains open in the sys tray. I cannot
figure out why this has happened or how to fix it.

Does anyone know why the program is doing this and how to fix it?

Occasionally, Outlook 2003 doesn't send a message. How would I FORCE Outlook
to send the message.

Thank you,

Barry Karas

Basically my outlook 2007 will not send emails as HTML format. I have
set this as the default in the "Mail format" tab in tools - options
and check it is formatted this way in the ribbon when I click send.
Unfortunately outlook still send the emails as rich text format with
the winmail.dat attachment. Any ideas as to why this happens?

Starting yesterday, Outlook 2007 will not save new appointments or new
contacts. It will let me change and save existing appointments but will NOT
let me save new ones.

Outlok 2003 will not send emails after running Ccleaner.  I do not receive any error code, it just won't send.

New install of Exchange 2003 on Small Business Server 2003. Clients using
Outlook 2000 can send messages to other Exchange clients okay. Clients using
Outlook 2003 can reply to a message from another Exchange client okay, but
when they send a new message to another Exchange client, the receipient never
gets it. The outgoing message appears in the outbox as if it has been sent.
I am choosing the Exchange account when I send the message. What am I doing
wrong with the Outlook 2003 clients?
