I'm running Outlook 2007 and want to import my mail and contacts (address
book) from the saved files of my older outlook. I've already been using
Outlook for a few weeks and I was wondering if I can merge the existing
e-mails with the mails in the file?
Is it possible?

Thank you!

I used commas separated file format to export my address books from Thunderbird to Outlook 2010.  When I view the exported files they include the email addresses, but when I import them into Outlook they don't include the email addresses.  What can I do to resolve this issue?

Helloo,How to Import Emails and Contacts to Outlook2007

I used to have Windows Mail to browse my e-mails and I'm trying to import my
contacts and e-mails to a new e-mail browser (Outlook 2007).

Would you please help me on how to import my contacts address book and my
e-mails to outlook 2007.?????

NOTE: I have already exported my data from the previouse browser and i did a
format to my OS.

I can't import my Address Book/Contacts from my old Outlook Express 6 into my new Outlook 2010. My wife and I both had E-Mail accounts we used in Outlook Express, but only my Contacts were imported. We each had a significant list of contacts. Mine showed up in her new Outlook 2010 account as well as mine. I've tried the onlime solutions and nothing seems to work. Any advice please?  Thanks

Using Windows 7:

How do I accurately import my email address book, mail folders and their emails, and profiles/account data from Thunderbird 3.1.4 to Outlook 2010?

Both programs work individually, but I cannot get Outlook 2010 to import my Thunderbird data (Eight years of business data).

I really need help.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

David

I moved my .PST file from OL2000 to a new computer with OL2002.

When I select my Contacts in OL2002, everyone is there. But when I address a NEW email,
it can't find any of my email addresses.

I'm beginning to understand that Outlook Contacts and Address Book are separate, yet
linked. I think.

Do I import my OL2000 Address Book, or is there a way to create an Address Book from my
present OL2002 contacts? Or am I missing something?

Thanks,

Bill.

I can't import my wife's address book from outlook express 6 into my new outlook 2010. It only imported my files.

Hi people, I have all of my email and contact lists stuck in Incredimail XE.
I want to import all of my data to Outlook. I am currently using Outlook 2000
with Windows XP Pro.. I have a copy of Outlook 2003 available to install if
that will help. If I must, I will purchase Outlook 2007. I want to
synchronise email and calendar functions with a Dopod for hand held
flexibility. Incredimail does not have a function to Export Data to any other
mail client.
Thanks for any help offered

I have my friends motherboard-dead PC here at my home and she needs her
outlook address book retored to her new computer (I think she means
contacts, but perhaps they are one and the same.)

I have her hard drive removed and am able to read the hard drive data
in it perfectly via USB. The OUTLOOK program I have (07) was able to
open the PST file she had, (and review the email she had) but I could
not find the PAB file.

Oddly enough her PST file was in the ROOT folder (C:)

I Do not believe she ever exported the address book with the old PC.
Her new PC does not yet have OUTLOOK installed yet, but we can proceed
with that once she has the files needed.

She has a separate (initial email plus one other) PST file in the
application data folder, and a 1KB dat file.

I realize she should be able to manually rebuild the address book from
her emails, but I was hoping for a simpler solution.

Any ideas?

I am using Outlook 2007 on Vista.

My Contacts/Address book does not show any enteries in the e-mail pane. I
do have about 600 displayed when I click on the "Contacts" button. I have
already tried modifying the properties as described in other messages, but
the areas I need to modify are grayed out and not available to modify.

On the General Tab is displayed:

Contacts
Type: Folder Containing Contacts
Location: SBC Global Account

When I select the "Outlook Address Book" tab the box for "Show this folder
as an e-mail Address Book is grayed out.

Any help would be very appreciated.

I hate the new comcast email system called SmartZone so I decided to start
using Microsoft Outlook 2007. It was amazinly easy to set up and seems to be
working fine. Does anyone know an easy way I can copy over my personal
folders and my address book from the Comcast home to my Outlook account ?

In Outlook 2010 on 2 New Netbooks, need to revert back to Outlook 2003 licences on Desktop by exporting email an dcontact records from 2010 back to a 2003 version form

I have a new notebook with Vista and Outlook 2007 installed. I want to bring
all my Outlook 2003 folders, calendar and contacts (address book) from my old

Hi everyone, I am hoping someone can give me a lead. I will do the best I
can to explain. First of all I did a data transfer from an old pc runniong
windows xp to a newer xp machine. I transfered all the typical stuff...
documents, favourites, .PST file etc. I also exported the address book from
within Outlook -- file / import/export... and created a .CSV file and
tranfered that to the new PC. I then installed Office/Outlook on the new pc,
switched PST files and imported the .CSV. When I access "contacts" on the
left side by "Mail" and "Calender" etc, all of the contacts are there that I
imported from the .CSV. The problem is when I compose a new email and hit
the "To:" button, I get an error "The address list could not be displayed.
The contacts list associated with this folder could not be opened..... " I
can then hit "ok" and select another "contacts" from the drop down menu and
then they are all there. Can anyone explain why or suggest how I might fixc
this, so that the "To" button actually works properly.

I had to reinstall XP (SP2). All my email messages and my address book are on
seperate CD's and I have been unable to put them back into Office Outlook
2003 (with Business Contact Manager) . Does anyone know how to do this? DBX
and WAB files. Thank you!

I have years of important emails and contacts on my old machine running
Office 2000. When I wanted to move the .pst file to new computer running
Outlook 2000 I simply copied the file into the appropriate folder on the new
machine.

But now I need to import all these emails & addresses into a new computer
running Outlook 2007. It clearly can't be simply copied, and I have tried
importing it to no avail.

Can anyone tell me how to import emails & addresses from Outlook 2000 on one
machine, into Outlook 2007 on another machine? THANK YOU!

I use OE6 but because I am doing a course which uses Outlook I have
just installed Outlook 2002 from Office XP Professional and then
downloaded and installed all updates that were found. I wanted to
import my Address Book from OE6 I have used the following
instructions in Outlook
File - Import Export - Import Internet Mail and Address Books -
unchecked Mail and then proceeded to import Addresses. When
choosing what to import from it only listed OE4 or OE5 no OE6 (I
presume this is because OE6 wasn't around when Outlook 2002 was
produced) so I chose the only option available to me.
It went through the process of importing but the summary told me it
had imported none of them. It also won't allow me to add names to
Address Book individually. My feeling is it only wants me to use
Contacts but then why have a Address Book?
Lynn

I want to import my address book from Eudora to Outlook or to a web based
email server. The instructions and programs I have found all assume the
address book in the nickname folder is in txt format whereas it is actually
in pairs of files called ***.TOC and ***.NNT

Any suggestions?
