error 0x800CCC78

I have looked on this discussion group but have not yet been able to solve my
problem: Each time I send and e-mail (new or reply) I get several of these
error messages. The mail sends eventually but takes a while to exit the
Outbox.

Task 'yahoo - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to send the
message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account properties. The
server responded: 553 From: address not verified; see
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/manage/sendfr om-07.html'

I sent anote to Yahoo but no reply. I do not know why yahoo is involved
except for...my mail is rerouted from an sbcglobal.net account to my Outlook.

Any ideas for solution? I disabled COM add-ins and my "From" address looks
fine.
Thanks.

I use AOL for my email accounts, using the IMAP function to import each
account into Outlook 2003. Everytime Outlook, Send/Receive, I get the
following error message:

Why is Outlook 2003 using the 'pop' server for 'sending' now? Shouldn't be
using the 'smtp' server? How do I get Outlook to use the 'smtp' server? All
was working correctly until I installed these updates-see below:

I got my 140 msgs after 4 days, but this error has now popped up. My email
address is correct; there is a msg stuck in outbox.
Task: Mail.comcast.net - Sending reported error (0X800CCC78) "Unable to send

responded: 530 authentification required."

I've suddenly started receiving an error that won't allow me to send email
from Outlook 2003. I have a new computer (less than a month old) which
started this behaviour. I checked the old machine and it does the same
thing. I've checked twice with my ISP and they insist it is an Outlook
problem, not on their end. Here is the full text of the error.

Task 'mail.mchsi.com - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to

We have a small office network, 5 machines, we use outlook 2003, and
sbcglobal yahoo as an ISP and have an independant web host provider. We have
a domain name set up for e-mail. Some times - not all the time, and then not
very frequently we lose the ability to send mail. we receive an error code of
0x800CCC78 and this message "Task 'user name - Sending' reported error
(0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to send the message. Please verify the e-mail address
in your account properties. The server responded: 417 DNS lookup failure:
columbuscontrols.com. Try again later.'" This error does not happin on all
machines at the same time but stagers around the office for about a day, then
will not show up again for a week, or sometimes two or three days later.
Sometimes it will start on one machine amd migrate to the other five and all
five will be out for the remainder of the day. Sometimes it will only affect
one or two machines in the office and the other machines will work fine.
There is no obvious time of the day or of the week that this happins. Please
if any one has a suggestion I would be happy to try anything. AT&T says its a
web host provider problem, the web host provider said it was an AT&T problem,
everyone is pointing fingers and no one wants to help.

I run Vista Business and MS Office 2007 with McAffee on a Dell Vostro. Email
has been running without problems for a few months. Over the last 2 days I
have been having problems with sending email. Incoming mail ok.

Error message is 0x800CCC78 -cannot send the message. Verify the email
addressin your account properties. The server responded 553: address not
verified.

In response to these error codes I have tried several things:
-Rebooted
-Checked all account settings(Authentication is set)
-Ran repair option in Account Settings
-Ran McAfee virus checker and disc cleaner including registry cleaner
-Ran disc cleaanup
-Ran defrag
-Tried changing SMTP TCP port from 25 to 587 and 465
-Did system restore
-Ran Outlook Office Diagnostics
-Checked with ISP that server ok

I have run out of ideas! Any suggestions?

I cannot send e-mail from my outlook client, getting an error message
'0x800CCC78 cannot send message'.

I'm up to date on all software, using Office 2007 on Vista.

My e-mail vendor is amenworld.

Incoming works fine, but to send e-mail I have to go into my vendors email
client and send from there to retain my e-mail address jbh@medishop.co.uk

This originally started on the 9th September and ran for 2 weeks went away
for 2 or 3 days and then came back, and is still with me.

I have been using Outlook 2007 for years with no problem. All of sudden 3 days ago I sent out an email and it wouldn't send. Called ISP, no help, still can't send, can't find any info. I get the following error message when I try to send a message:
0x800CCC78 Cannot send the message. Verify the email address in your account properties. The server responded 451 Error-Blocked for Abuse. See http://my.att.net/tempblock for info.

I use Vista 64 bit, AT&T ISP (with their provided router) and Norton. I have used it all like this for years and no problems.

I have done several things to try to correct the prob:
--Created whole new user account and profile with new personal folders--fixed it for 2 emails--3rd email and now I'm blocked again
--Changed the outgoing SMTP server code to 587 instead of 25 b/c one blog I read said it worked
--Restarted, rebooted

Nothing fixes it! Anyone have any ideas???

I keep getting this error message when sending and email using Outlook 2003. "0x800CCC78. Unable to Send the message.  Please verify the email address in your account properties. The server responded 530.5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. 28m59017703vws.6"

I even get the message when I simply test the account settings.

I have is a GMAIL account setup on Outlook but cannot seem to get passed this message.  Everything else seems to test fine.

When trying to send e-mail, I'm getting this error message....

Task 'mail.zelcomgroup.com - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable
to send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account
properties. The server responded: 553 Sorry, over your daily relay limit.'

I haven't changed anything since I last sent an e-mail about 5 mins
ago....please help!

I've IMAPed to my AOL account. Until recently, I had no issue with sending
emails from the 2007 Beta. Remapped the account a few times with no success.

The error is below:

Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Cannot send the message. Verify the
e-mail address in your account properties. The server responded: 535
AUTHENTICATION FAILED'

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeremy

I get a send/receive error everytime Outlook does a send/receive:

Task 'incoming.verizon.net - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable
to send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account
properties. The server responded: 550 5.7.1 Authentication Required'

There are no messages in my outbox to send, so this error messge is
confusing and I don't know how to stop it.

I have 2 seperate email accounts. During the send-recive process, I receive
this error message for one of the accounts:
Task 'mail.comcast.net - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to
send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account
properties. The server responded: 530 Authentication required'.

I've removed the old address and re-established the account several times
and even though the information is correct the message persist. I've contact
the ISP and the address is correct and active.

Any suggestions??

Hi

I am using Outlook 2003 and Windows XP

Myself and another user on our network are getting the following messge when
trying to send emails.

Sending reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to send the message. Please
verify the email address in your account properties. The server responded 452
4.4.5 Insufficient disk space, try again later.'

There are 3 other people (and 17 users in total) currently active on the
network and they are having no problems sending and recieving mail.

There is no problem with the email addresses we are sending to, I have
changed the account settings so that the STMP server requires
authentification, I have deleted the messages from the inbox and tried to
resend, restarted Outlook and searched for information on how to resolve this
matter but much of the information is with regards to Outlook express.

I would greatly appreciate any help on this matter, and look forward to
hearing from you.

Thanks

I get this error message when trying to send a message in Outlook 2003. I
use Comcast as my ISP and had no problems until just recently. I know the
email address is good as it is my other email address that I use daily.

Task 'mail.comcast.net - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to
send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account
properties. The server responded: 550 5.1.0 Authentication required'

I ran "Test Account Settings..." in the Outlook dialog for email accounts
and it passed every test but the send message test. I also had just removed
several unsent read receipts.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
TJD
