I've been off for a few weeks and today when I started work again, my Outlook
will not allow me to open or save a new appointment. Does anybody know how I
can fix this?

Recently migrated from Outlook 2003 (Win XP pro) to new machine (Vista) with
Outlook 2007. Various glitches were solved with "inbox repair tool", but it
will not allow delete without also holding shift key and answering prompt,
and it will not allo me to empty deleted items folder (now very large). I
think I have some kind of .pst file path problem, but can't get a handle on
it. Thanks for any suggestions...

Hi,

I am in a pickle, as my outlook archive.pst will not let me archive any
messages, nor will it allow me to delete anything currently IN the archive to
make more space. I get an error message stating that the "archive.pst cannot
be accessed. There is not enough space on the disk." I have plenty of free
space on the drive itself so I suspect the error message may not be telling
the whole truth.

Has anyone had this happen? Is there any way to get around this?

Thanks

I am at an impasse with outlook. For some reason my outlook 2003 will no
longer allow me to add new appointments nor contacts to my address book or
edit existing data. The "new" button is no longer highlighted so I can't
click it and when I right click the "add" option is also not available for me
to use. Addtionally, outlook will not allow me to back-up my existing data.
any ideas as why this is happening?

I am wondering if this is happening because I never bothered to register my
outlook or if there is something else afoot. Also, I am concerned that any
new data I added on my phone will be lost when I sync it to the desktop.
help - any thoughts?

How can I open links sent to me via email when outlook does not allow me to.

Outlook will not allow me to setup or add new email accounts. To clarify, I add a new account in the usual way. Outlook then appears to run a test messsage which is sucessful. It even shows the email account in the window where all email accounts are dispalyed. However, when I click on "New Email", it will not show any of the newly added email accounts. One other thing (I am not sure if this is related) but when I now go to the defined email accounts (or is it defined user groups), it will not let me edit the the individual email accounts (the edit tab will not open). Sorry I cannot be more specific as I am running a scanpst right now. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Outlook will not allow me to make a calendar entry. I don't know why this
happened or how to fix it. When I type-in specific information (for example
- "dentist appointment with Dr. C.") on the Daily Appointment Calendar and
press the Enter key, I get an error message saying that Outlook cannot "save"
the information. As a result, I can no longer make calendar entries. I would
appreciate it if anyone could help me fix this. Thanks.

my Outlook (office 2003 with business manager) has stop opening Business
manager and states that it can not load the program or complete the last
task. when i try to repair or reinstall it begins THEN stop and states that
it could not finish required task.

the second thing is that the email that is forwarded from aol, and juno,
will not open, and will NOT allow me to veiw it. i have removed the level 1
as instructed on the windows knowledge base. no change

I have tried several times to save an appointment item but I keep on getting
an error box with a triangle and exclamation mark! stating "The item could
not be saved to this folder. The folder has been deleted or moved, or you do
not have permission. Do you want to save a copy of it in the default folder
for the item?" I have saved it in a default folder, but that folder will not
let me know that I have put a reminder on the outlook calendar page to alert
me. Can someone please help me?

I am using xp pro, outlook 2003. The emails I transfer from my laptop to my
desktop (same software) that I want to save will not open. I go to my
documents and in the file I have saved them, click on the yellow envelope, it
opens the "choose profile" which I click "OK" and nothing happens. I cannot
open any other email unless it actually comes into outlook as the primary
email, if there is an email attached I cannot open it.
I have done the attachment security setting, the remove the Google add
in......still nothing. It used to work fine.....

New Computer runs on Window 7 Prof. and Outlook 2010 (part of Office 2010)

Old Computer runs on Window XP and Outlook 2007 (part of Office 2007)

Copied outlook 2007 PST file and paste on New Computer

On running Outlook 2010 on new machine by opening directly PST file of outlook 2007

The outlook 2010 show the contact list being populated correctly, but when open Address Book it is empty.

When try to search It say "The search cannot be completed. You must have an address list to search in. If you don't have an address list, contact your Microsoft Exchange Administrator" (I use it as stand alone machine)

Subsequently I go to the Contacts Properties, in the tab indicating Outlook Address Book, the Name of address book show "Contacts"

In the same tab, the check the box next to the following wordings " Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" is unchecked, and do not allow me to check it.

I have also run Scanpst .exe on this pst file, and also reinstalled the outlook(including the office suite) but same problem still persist.

Secondly If I delete the Pst file, when opening the outlook 2010, it say the pst file cannot be located, so it close itself.

How can I get outlook to open a totally new empty pst file so that I can test it out if it still give the same problem when I input a contact and it does not show up in address book.

Can you pls. help please, very much appreciated, Thanks

it will only maximize or minimize, why did it stop allowing me to size the
window?

I get an error message saying "the messaging interface has returned an
unknown error." Restarting does not fix it. My quota is nearly used up and
I would like to delete items with attachments, but it will not let me.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Much thanks if you do.

Microsoft Windows XP Version 2002 (Professional Edition) will not allow me to
drag tasks in the Tasks manager of Microsof Outlook. I have used previous
versions of Tasks for years and have never had a problem. Is there something
that I am missing in this newer version?

Outlook will not let me delete e-mails. Access to account denied. Verify
user name and password are correct. Server indicates forbidden.

Outlook was working fine in the past. Not sure how to fix.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
