New Computer runs on Window 7 Prof. and Outlook 2010 (part of Office 2010)
Old Computer runs on Window XP
and Outlook 2007 (part of Office 2007)
Copied outlook 2007 PST file and paste on New Computer
running Outlook 2010 on new machine by opening directly PST file of outlook 2007
The outlook 2010 show the contact
list being populated correctly, but when open Address Book it is empty.
When try to search It say "The search
cannot be completed. You must have an address list to search in. If you don't have an address list, contact your Microsoft
Exchange Administrator" (I use it as stand alone machine)
Subsequently I go to the Contacts Properties, in
the tab indicating Outlook Address Book, the Name of address book show "Contacts"
In the same tab, the
check the box next to the following wordings " Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" is unchecked, and do not
allow me to check it.
I have also run Scanpst .exe on this pst file, and also reinstalled the outlook(including
the office suite) but same problem still persist.
Secondly If I delete the Pst file, when opening the outlook
2010, it say the pst file cannot be located, so it close itself.
How can I get outlook to open a totally new empty
pst file so that I can test it out if it still give the same problem when I input a contact and it does not show up in
Can you pls. help please, very much appreciated, Thanks
