Hi!
Sometimes I experience that I cannot move particular message from mailbox to
personal folder, especially on messages that has attachment. Here is the
error message:

Cannot move the items. The item could not be moved. It was either moved or
deleted, or access was denied.

But when I click on OK, the message is still on the mailbox. How can I avoid
this?

Btw, Im using Exchange 5.5 SP4 on Windows 2000 SP4 with Norton Antivirus for
MS Exchange.

I don't know if the AV has something to do with this error.

Hoping for your response.

We have configured our SPAM controller to moved some detected SPAM mails to Junk E-Mail in user Outlook 2003. Now we want to move Junk E-Mail folder to favorite folder in Outlook so that user can easily spot or notifiy that they have item in Junk E-Mails folder. Is there any way to configure this centrally from Exchange server or using Group Policy?

Hi

I am unable to delete an empty folder in Outlook 2003 (sp3), on Win XP
desktop, running AD. I am the folder owner and have admin rights. Get the
following error:

"unable to delete this folder. Rightclick the folder then click Properties
to check your permissions for the folder...Some items could not be deleted.
They were either moved or already deleted, access was denied".

Any help appreciated!

Thanks

how do i move the navigation pane to the right in Outlook 2003?

Something changed and I can no longer drag and drop an email to a folder in
outlook. How do I get it back to where it was?

Something changed and I can no longer drag and drop an email to a folder in
outlook. How do I get it back to where it was?

I'm trying to move thee items (all with the same subject, but from two
different people) into a personal folder. I'm able to move everything else,
but these three items give me this error when I try to move them to the
personal folder:

"Can't move the items. The item could not be moved. It was either already
moved or deleted, or access was denied."

I've gotten this error before, but rarely. It seems that some emails are
just funky and won't be moved into my personal folder. I was able to move the
item around within my regular mailbox (from the inbox to another folder and
back again).

I did check the size of my personal folder. The total size is 363504Kb which
translates to 0.34666Gb. So I'm not to the 1.5Gb limit yet (I've read that
personal folders can become unstable at that point).

I was able to move other, larger and smaller, emails to my personal folder,
both before getting this error and after getting this error. It's only these
three emails that are giving me the error and won't go into the personal
folder.

I've tried holding down the Ctrl key when moving them in order to just move
a copy into the personal folder, but I got a similar error:

"Can't copy the items. Some items could not be copied. They were either
moved or deleted, or access was denied."

I'm stumped. Anyone have any ideas what else to try? These emails seem like
plain old emails. I've moved other emails from these same people into
personal folders before. They aren't huge, between 29-32Kb each. I'm using
Outlook 2003. I just upgraded from Outlook 2000 this month, and these emails
were recieved when I had Outlook 2000 in June. But I've been able to move all
the other hundreds of emails that I received in June over to my personal
folders with no issues.

Thanks for your help.

I want items that I deleted in Outlook to be deleted in my pop
account, too.
I can tell Outlook to do so with items in the Deleted Items folder.
How can I tell Outlook to do so with mail in the Junk E-mail folder,
too?
Or how can I automatically move items from Junk Mail to the Deleted
Items?
Thanks, Sven

I created a folder under my Gmail account in Outlook 2003. I then dragged a
message from the Inbox to that folder. After doing this, the message doesn't
disappear from the inbox in Outlook -- instead it appears with strikethrough
(as if I pressed the delete key). In the target folder it appears without
strikethrough.

After Imap syncing the message DID appear under the corresponding label in
Gmail's web interface. However, the message ALSO still appeared in the inbox.

If I do purge deleted messages in Outlook, the message then disappears from
the Inbox but it also disappears from the folder I moved it to (even though I
didn't delete it from that folder). And on Gmail's side, the message gets
moved to Trash.

So, how can I move messages from the inbox to another folder in Outlook and
have them end up ONLY in the moved-to folder?

I know I can (and have) set up filters in the web interface to auto-move
messages to folders based on content and by checking the archive box they
appear only in the target folder and not in the inbox -- that's great for
recurring content but not for the occasional one-off message I simply want to
put in a different folder.

I know I can also do the move manually via the web interface and it will
also work fine. However, I'd like to be able to do all my work in Outlook and
not have to keep switching to the web interface for managing the folders
(labels).

I've never seen this before but one user is having this problem.
He is filing email from his inbox by dragging & dropping an email onto a folder in Outlook.
We file emails into Public folders, one per project. When you go to the folder he has dropped the email into it has 2 identical emails in the folder its moved to. I don't think this is everytime but quite often.
The user is just going back through and deleting the duplicate.

Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix?

Paul

Does anyone know if there is a utility out there that let me delete a
particular folder in Outlook for all the mail boxes in Exchange? Here is why
I needed: Few weeks ago I install Trend Micro Scan Mail for Exchange and it
created a folder "Spam mail" in Outlook, the trial period is over and I'm no
longer use Spam filtering from Trend. I have install MS IMF for spam
filtering. I want to use the Junk E-mail folder that was created by Exchange
instead of Spam mail folder. So I want to delete it so it wouldn't confuse
the user. I use MS Exmerge but it does not have delete folder option.

Thank in advance.

Dear Readers,

I was doing some search on internet about importing from pst to Public Folder in Exchange server 2007, but i did not find any solution.

Can any one please give any suggestions?

Whenever I try and move or delete a folder in outlook which contains
sub-folders I get the folder is full message.

I can copy the folder and all of its structure, but still cannot delete the
original without going through each subfolder and clicking the delete button.

Any help appreciated

After making rules to move e-mail into folder in Outlook, all my e-mails are
being copied and then moved.

When I try to delete messages in the Outbox I get the Message "Folder is
full" and the message will not delete; I have now received the same message
within the Inbox (all oither messages deleted). Any helpful suggestions as to
how to remedy the problem would be appreciated.

Thanks,

David

I recently upgraded Outlook from 2000 to 2003. My Folder List shows two
Personal Folders items. Any changes to the folders in one Personal Folder
(e.g., new mail) is mirrored in the other Personal Folder. The same goes for
Contacts: I have three Contacts folders imported from Outlook 2000, and there
are two copies of each in my Contacts list (one says "Contacts", the other
says "Contacts in Personal Folders", for example).

I tried the Help solution that suggests changing the default folder, as well
as closing a Personal Folder, and this isn't working. Any suggestions? This
is causing my PST folder to balloon to over 600MB, and having too many icons
in my folder lists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Can one (or even two) inform me as to where to find my mail folders in Outlook 2010. I've transferred them over from Eudora to Outlook 2010 with Aid4Mail quite flawlessly I might add (to csv files) but stuff my leg into two teakettles if I can find them.

I'll appreciate help with this one. Thanks!

I want to move multiple sub-folders to another folder in Outlook 2003. Is
there any way of selecting multiple folders (as you can do for selecting
multiple emails) or do I have to move each folder separately?

My objective is to automatically send emails (once read) to a folder in my
documents. Have tried with "rules and alerts" in outlook, but I can only seem
to transfer the emails to a folder in outlook. Can anybody help
