I have reached a dead end researching this one. I receive the following error during the 'telnet' test:

telnet plastikon.com 25

220 ajax.cnchost.com [CovncentricHost ESMTP Relay 2/2.70] ready ehlo ggggggggg.com 250-ajax.cnchost.com 250-PIPELINING 250-SIZE 78643200 250-STARTTLS 250-AUTH PLAIN LOGIN 250-AUTH=PLAIN LOGIN 250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES 250 8BITMIME mail from:dennis@gggggggg.com 250 2.1.0 Ok rcpt to:ffffffffffff@plastikon.com 450 4.7.1 : Recipient address rejected: invalid sender domain for relay (0) quit 221 2.0.0 Bye

However, if I telnet this way, no error:

telnet mail.plastikon.com 25

220 EX07.plastikon.internal Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service ready at Tue, 10 Apr 20 12 07:04:56 -0700 ehlo gggggggg.com 250-EX07.plastikon.internal Hello [64.233.192.62] 250-SIZE 102645760 250-PIPELINING 250-DSN 250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES 250-STARTTLS 250-AUTH 250-8BITMIME 250-BINARYMIME 250 CHUNKING mail from:dennis@gggggggg.com 250 2.1.0 Sender OK rcpt to:ffffffffffff@plastikon.com 250 2.1.5 Recipient OK

I have attempted clearing the DNS cache via DNS and command line, but that's where my research reached a dead end. It seems to me that reaching the destination server via port 25 is not going to the right place.

Is the problem my DNS, or is it their ISP setup?

Thank you for any guidance.

Michael

Hi All,

I was able to send out the mails from my exchange 2003 server to all the domains but since last 15 days I am not able to send out the mail to one single domain, but I am able to recevie from the same domain. I have been facing this problem since last 15 days.

Whenever I send a mail to a particular ID in that domain it gives a following NDR:

xxx@domain.com
A communication failure occurred during the delivery of this message. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you. Please try resending this message later, or provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator.

Diagnostic information for administrators:

Generating server: myserver.mydomain.com

xxx@domain.com
#< #5.5.0 smtp;554 : Recipient address rejected: Access denied> #SMTP#

Also, I checked everything related to our smtp server, the DNS name, the reverse lookup, the SPF records, everythings seems to be fine.

Can you guys suggest what could be the problem...

We've had to re-install all software following a hard disc error & can't send
emails from microsoft outlook 2003. Have tried sending to different addresses
to ensure it's not something at the other end, so to speak!

The message comes back as "undelivereable" with error message -
554 5.7.1 : recipient address rejected: access denied

can anyone help me out please?
Thanks
Di

When sending a message from an outside account to one our email accounts i get a repley message as follows The error that the other server returned was: 554 554 5.7.1  Recipient address rejected: Access denied (state 14). it is only happening to a couple of users

When sending an email to a domain that we could send mails to without any issues we suddenly now receive:

quote:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
     Subject: RE: Test
     Sent: 11/06/2008 10:20
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
     'Username' on 12/06/2008 09:16
You do not have permission to send to this recipient.  For assistance, contact your system administrator.

Not too sure what to do here but would this be a problem at their end or ours?

Thanks

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by
the server. The rejected e-mail address was '.
Subject ' Article', Account: 'mail.hughes.net', Server: 'smtp.hughes.net',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 5.7.1 :
Recipient address rejected: Access denied', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

How to correct?

I have recently been unable to send emails, although I can still receive
them. My ISP has advised me that it is an error with Outlook Express. When I
try to send an email I get the following error message:-

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by
the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'sara.wayland@virgin.net'.
Subject 'Test', Account: 'pop.virgin.net', Server: 'smtp.virgin.net',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 5.7.1 :
Recipient address rejected: Access denied', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

I use Windows XP SP3 and Oulook Express 6.

I'm including an email button on a website I'm building for a client who has a hotmail.com address. When testing the button, it opens my default email software OK (Outlook 2003) but I get an 'undeliverable' return message:
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
'wheator@hotmail.com' on 10/10/2012 12:49 554 5.7.1
: Recipient address rejected: Access denied

I've spent rather a long time searching the internet and it appears other people have the same problem with Outlook and hotmail. Is there a solution or will my client have to have an alternative email provider to accommodate other Outlook users?

since upgrading to office 2007, I have not been able to send emails with
file attachments.
they are " undeliverable"

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

Jesse Davis on 7/28/2008 10:00 PM
554 5.7.1 : Recipient address
rejected: Access denied

What do I do?

When I try to send an email it is returned with error 5545.7.1 recipient
address rejected access denied.
This seems to happen for a while, then it is ok aqnd then starts happening
again.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi

We are in the process of having our company slowly amalgamated into another one. Some staff are already "working" for the other company and are picking up email for that company, and therefore want all their email that's still coming in for ours redirected to theirs.

We followed the instructions set out in http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/MF015.html to do the forwarding, and while it works perfectly fine for all internal emails going out to those users, anything incoming from the outside world gets an NDR instead along the lines of:

Final-Recipient: rfc822;{Company B Email Address}
Action: failed
Status: 5.7.1
Diagnostic-Code: smtp;554 5.7.1
To: {Company A email address}
Date: Thu, 13 Dec 2007 11:28:19 +0000
...

The last time we had a problem with sending mail to the outside world it turned out it was a smarthosts issue. Am I right in thinking this again or am I barking up the wrong tree? Failing that is there anything else I could try to get this to work?

I am having a problem where some outgoing email is rejected with the following error; #554 5.7.1 Client host rejected: cannot find your reverse hostname.
I have a single E2K7 server where the internal FQDN is exchange2.beti.us and the external name is mail2.boonedam.us.  This appears to be causing a problem for some external mail servers.  How/where can this be corrected?
Thanks, Bob

Suddently I cannot send from Outlook 2007. I have Windows 7.

I receive the follwoing msg -
"xxx (AOL) - sending" reported error (0X800CCC78): "Cannot send the message.
Verify the e-mail adress in your account properties. The server responded:
554.5.7.1 sender address rejected: access denied"

I have checked the box re SMTP authentication. Outgoing server is 587

One of our employees sent an e-mail to a client that bounced back with the
following error:

"You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance
contact your system administrator. "

My tech says it's on their end and they say it's on our end so we are at an
impasse.

Good evening

I am currently running outlook 2007 on Vista and everything was going fine and I have come up against 2 issues that you may be able to help with.

1/
I use outlook to connect with my AOL email account. (I no longer subscribe to them as an ISP) but I have kept the address as I have had it for years now.

yesterday when sending mail from the address I kept getting the error Task 'andyholgate2@aol.com - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Cannot send the message. Verify the e-mail address in your account properties. The server responded: 554 5.7.1 : Sender address rejected: Access denied'.

My settings are
incoming server = imap.aol.com port 143
outgoing server = smtp.aol.com port 587

I have tried the various encrypted connections but nothing makes any difference

I have tried re creating an account using the settings shown online. I have checked the "my outgoinging server requires authentication". I have tried it on my laptop as well and I am getting the same problem.

When I go into the aol webmail I can send email messages but this is far from a desired way of doing things.

I am stumped and everywhere I look on line is completely unhelpful as are aol support who gave me instructions for outlook express when I clearly stated i was using outlook 2007

2/ when a new mail comes into inbox outlook opens and deletes it immediately and I am left with a greyed out message with a line through it. How do I stop this from happening. This happens on my laptop only.

please help

Andy

When we try and send an email to a large number of people outside of our mail
server (seems as though any more than 22) be get the follwoing bounce back(a
recent development, we were able to do it about a week and a half ago)...

on a line by itself

However, if I sent an email to say 4 or 5 individuals @syr.edu, it works
fine. When I use POP/SMTP with my SYR.EDU mail address, it goes fine to all
1800 students.

Could it be a Brightmail filter on the receiving side? Could it be a DNS
issue? Any thoughts would be helpful. thanks in advance.

When i click Test Account Settings it's successful (eg. Send test email msg

I have tried every other Outgoing server option unsuccessfully
I am able to telnet to the outgoing server address on port 25
Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks
