Messages not downloading from server

Outlook 2003. Exchange Server 2003. My Outlook email account is a Exchange
server connection. I have some older messages that when I double-click to
open I am prompted:

This message has not been fully downloaded from the server. Would you like
to mark it for download?

I select "Yes." However, the message body never downloads, even one and two
days later. I selected all such messages, which just consisted of headers,
and I selected "Mark to download messages." But again, these messages never
download.

What might be wrong or what must I do to make this work not only for me but
for all of our Exchange users? Thanks for the help.

I used the "Do Not Download From Server" rule in Outlook Express but cannot
find it in Outlook 2007.

I have a POP3 account which different people use. In outlook express I used
the rule "Where the To or CC line does not contain 'someone@domain.com' Do
not download it from server ".

When you create rule do not download from server.
It shows contains with the email address the from may say something like
john doe does it stop email from that sender. or do you have to change
contains then email address to john doe

All of a sudden I am receiving messages that are stating "not received from
server". Why is this happening?

how do i config oulook 2007 to download / receive my emails as soon as i open
Outlook - like those in the Windows Mail / Outlook Express.

currently i have to click on the Send/Receive | Drop Down | Send/Receive All
so that my email messages are downloaded from server to my PC.

also - how can i config Outlook 2007 to send emails immediately as soon as i
click the SEND button? currently, newly composed messages are stored in the
DRAFTS folder then send automatically every 30 minutes.

the case is that when i compose new message | click the SEND button - i
close outlook as sson as i click the SEND button - then turn OFF my PC. when
i turn ON my PC after several hours, and check my emails, the messages are
still in the DRAFT folder.

after setting size limit on downloading of emails how do I get rid of the
messages not downloaded in the errors tab?

Several times a day I receive a virus-laden email:
From: fryerin .
First I made a message rule not to download it from server. The resulting
action however was that it was put in my Deleted Items folder.
I then changed it to Delete at Server. But it still puts it in my Deleted
Items folder.
In both cases I specified "Where the From line contains
' or 'fryerin' ".
Why is OE putting it in me Deleted itemd folder and how can I get it to
either not download it or delete it at server?

Thanks for the help!
Janet

PS In all cases my anti-virus puts the virus in the virus vault, so I am not
worried about that.

as of yesterday my outlook email locks up when I try to download messages
from server. Get massage that says 3 of 4 have downloaded successfully than
before the last one does, I get error message unknown error message and none
load. i have run Outlook repair, etc. My ISP says they cannot help,
transferred me to Dell and they said the same. I can open and read existing
emails but cannot receive new ones.

I have two computers and certain mail goes to certain computers.  Windows Mail had a mail rule "DO NOT DOWNLOAD FROM SERVER".

I can not find that option in Outlook.

I need computer #1 to leave certain mail on the server so computer #2 downloads it.

How can I do this in Outlook?

What is stopping this message getting through

I know this has been covered but sorry I can't find it.
One of my MS news groups always shows from 1 to 20 messages not downloaded
when I open it. Nothing I have tried seems to clear this out and every day
its a different number.

How can I fix this annoyance please.

Hi,

I'm having an annoying problem: On one of my subscribed private MS
Newsgroups (microsoft.private.directaccess.smallbizserver2003 ) there is a
persistent "1 not downloaded" message in the status bar. Sometimes it says
"2 not downloaded," sometimes "3 not downloaded." The number of "not
downloaded" messages changes if I navigate away to another NG, but there is
always at least one message not downloaded. I have tried unsubscribing and
resubscribing, and I have tried all the OE maintenance options to no avail.

There are thousands of messages, so I haven't been able to locate the
undownloaded messages.

How can I resolve this?

Each time I peruse through the newsgroups - each one has a number by
it
saying there are some unread - but no unread messages are showing. I
go to
view - current view - hide read messages - and there are no items to
view.
But list on the left still shows a number. Now I realise there is a
message
at bottom left that says (for example) 26 messages, 0 unread, 12 not
downloaded. Why are some messages not downloading? As far as I know
this
has only been happening recently - help please.

TIA

I have an Exchange 2003 sp1 Server and when I try to sync a Pocket PC 2003
using active sync, am able to connect with Server, I successfully receive the
sync estimate of for example 18 messages, it then shows 'downloading X of 18
messages' and completes without any errors but none of the emails appear in
the inbox on the pocket pc. if I open the mailbox using outlook 2003 from a
workstation and view each of the messages and then resync the pocket pc the
messages then download correctly.

Have tried with different mailboxes but no luck.

In Outlook 2007, some not all messages are downloaded from the web-email
server. I can see the messages on the server, but Outlook is selective. All
junk mail filters are unchecked and still it is selective. Help!

I have installed office 2003 on a newly purchased computer to replace my
older computer. My old computer was windows and office xp. When I opened
outlook 2003 and configured my exchange inbox it downloaded every message in
my mailbox (i.e. deleted folder and other folders alike), but in my inbox,
it downloaded only older messages up until 2/27/2006. It didn't download any
messages that were any newer than that and there are 1039 more messages.
When I right click on properties, it says 98 offline messages and 1039
messages. It only shows the offline messages even though I am online. It
has however, created a new folder called sync issues and created many trouble
emails. Below is the content of the newest email in sync issues.

OMG... What is the deal? All I am trying to do is submit a bug to
Microsoft. I've poked around for 20 minutes trying to find a URL that will
allow me to do that. Sheesh, I'm trying to HELP. Why make it so difficult?
Search, support, nada. Except that One Free E-mail Support thing which wants
me to install yet another ActiveX control I don't want and will burn up my
(apparently) ONLY free support slot. I don't need support. I just want to
inform you:

If you are using pop/smtp AND use the Junk e-mail folder AND have "Leave a
copy of the message on the server" AND one or both of the "Remove from
server..." options the e-mail from the Junk e-mail folder DOES NOT get
removed from the server if you right click on Junk e-mail and choose "Empty
'Junk E-Mail' Folder". Apparently your "removing msgs from the server" in
this scenario is ONLY removed when the items are deleted from "Deleted
Items". While that, based on the description on the account settings dialog,
is technically correct I don't think it's what you meant to have happen, yes?

The work around, obviously, is to not use the "Empty 'Junk E-Mail' Folder"
option but to select all the items in the Junk E-mail folder and delete them
(move them to "Deleted Items") then go about your "normal" purge procedure
(imediately, when Outlook closes, whatever).

This maky not be and Outlook problem, but I have tried everything else and am
now clutching at straws.

Have been using Outlook 2003 SP3 for a few years, have recently had the
problem where my emails are not downloading from the Webmail server as it
always had. My first point of call was my email provider, who have tested
everything and all is fine. Contacted the ISP and they have washed there
hand of it as it is an incoming email problem only and eveything internet
related in working as normal.

I do not get an error message - the send and receive attempts as normal but
it downloads so slow that unless the emails are small (less than 20kb) they
never get to me. So far I have deleted the email account and re-set it up.
Run a detect and repair. I have tried downloading on another computer at a
different location and had no problems.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

HI

I am using Outlook 2003 with Gmail. I have successfully configured the
settings and have been happily using the product.

I needed to do a Detect and Repair on another Office product which caused me
to reinstall Outlook 2003. I reinstalled the settings as per Google's
guidelines. I sent a Test account successfully and I can see that result on
the web version of Gmail.

The problem now is that email will not download from the server. I can send
an email successfully from my Outlook client ( I sent a test message to
myself), but no download information is shown in the Send/Receive dialog box.

I can import my emails from my outlook.pst up to the time when I did a fresh
install. I have disconnected the firewall and other security files. In any
case they did not interfere previously with Outlook. Every time I do a fresh
install I get the same problem.

The settings include port 995 for pop3 and 465 for smtp ie. Gmail needs SSL
authentication.

Using Outlook 2003, is there any way to set up a rule so that mail from a
particular e-mail address is NOT downloaded from a POP server? Thanks.

I am using OL2007. I have a PST file which has POP3 account's Emails. I want
to configure an another profile with the same POP3 account settings,
pointing to old PST file. Mails gets duplicated in my new profile because my
mails are already in PST file and it is also available on server(if Leave a
copy of mail on server flag is set).
So is there any way to determine which mail has downloaded from server and
which has not?

when I turn outlook on, messages on my local server will not download to
outlook.
I've checked the settings with the local server company and all seem ok. Yet
my messages will not download to outlook. Help! any suggestions
