Right click mouse not working

When working in Outlook 2003 and within the "inbox", the right click function
does not work. It seems to work in other places in Outlook. Any
suggestions.

I'm using Outlook 2003 and when I right click on an email in my inbox
to get the properties, the right click option isn't there. It use to
work fine, but I'm not able to right click any longer on the
individual emails. If I right click on the folder list, it seems to
work fine. I've been getting a lot of spam lately, and I would like
to be able to right click to check the properties of individual emails
before I open them. I used the "detect & repair" feature but am still
having the problem. I tried reinstalling Office to see if that would
fix the problem but I'm still having the same issue. Does anyone know
a fix for this? Thank you for your help.

Suddently yesterday the right click is not working in the Messages pane of
outlook. It is working in the folders list and the preview pane but not in
the messages list. Does anyone know what the reason can be?

When I right click on a senders name in the FROM area to add it to contacts
it does not work. I don't get the dialog box that I'm supposed to get that
says "add to contacts". That does not come up at all. Why is this not
working?

Hi,
One of the network users is having a problem while right-clicking at the
calendar panel: The drop-down menu does not show. However, if he tryes the
same function at the left panel or under the Mail menu as well as each other
office programs, the drop-down list opens immediately when right-clicking.
Also, going through the upper menu, all options are available. I mean, the
right click does not work ONLY under the calendar panel.

Any suggestion? Tks!

Has anyone experienced the "Right Click" not working using within "Inbox"?
I'm able to click on contacts and calendar, but the "Right Click" isn't
working for "Inbox". Nothing happens.

Can anyone provide advise?

With Auto Preview enabled I read most of mail without actually opening it.
Quite often I save the message to another folder by using the MOVE command
with the mouse right click. However COPY is not available with the Right
Click. Why Not?

I know COPY is available under EDIT but RIGHT mouse click is more convenient.

Can this be added?

Hi,

Hope somebody can help me with this one.

Right-click on a message doesn't work anymore. I don't get the menu
that usally shows up when right-clicking a message.
If my messages is sorted in groups, I can right-click the headline in
each group and then I get the menu where I for instance can choose to
delete all the messages in the group, but I still don't get the menu,
if I right-click on a single message.

I see the same problem in the calender.
If I right-click an event which is registrated in my calender, then
again the menu doesn't appear as it used to do.

Does somebody have an idea why, and how to solve this problem?

Thanx in advance

rgds.

i can not get my notes to print and right click will not highlight them

In Outlook 2003, I've always used righ click on mail to mark read, urgent,
move it, etc. Starting this last Wednesday it has stopped working. To my
knowledge there have been no updates to outlook, although I do recall that
Windows installed updates.

I can use the right click elsewhere in Outlook and on my computer. I have
backed up my pst file. I have compressed it. I have moved mail items, I
have tried to reset mail to default settings. Nothing seems to activate the
right click.

We have Outlook 2007 and Microsoft Exchange Server. I understand that each
individual is thus prevented from listing his own personal list of Safe
Senders from whom he or she can automatically download images in emails.

So in the interests of security, network traffic, and spam management, we
have configured all Outlook installations to NOT automatically download
images, and users are free to right-click those they feel are safe.

However, our principal, when he right-clicks, does not get the image to
appear. Does anyone know what setting controls this?

Thank you.

When creating an email with a signature, spell checking doesn't work. No, I
am not typing in the signature area (I get a normal right-click menu, not a
signature menu, when right-clicking in the message body). I have tried
creating signatures within Outlook, as well as creating an .htm document
within word and using that as a signature file. The behavior of Word is
always the same: no spell check anywhere in the email. If I select the text
and go to Tools/Language/Set Language, I see that "Do not check spelling or
grammar" is CHECKED. When I create an email without a signature, it is
UNCHECKED and spell check works fine. Word is set to be used as my email
editor.

Someone please help, before I rip out the last remaining clump of hair on my
head.

I was using Outlook 2002. If I wanted to see someone's actual email address
used in a message, I could right click on that name, say "Joe Blow" (in the
to or from or cc line) and see properties which went with that name,
specifically "joe@blow.com".
This doesn't seem to work in Outlook '07, which if true is an astounding
step backwards from '02 version. Do I have something turned off that I need
to turn on to see those email addresses again?
Thanks in advance.

I just updated my software and driver (4.00.121) for my Logitech MX3000
keyboard and mouse. The 100% Zoom function does not work within an e-mail
massage in Outlook 2007. If I open a jpg in a message, I can 'zoom' it
smaller and larger but I can not return it to its initail size using the
100% button on the mouse _or_ the keyboard.

Using this function in my IE7 browser works just fine.
I'm just passing this on.

My "Save As" is under my File Pull down menu, but it is missing in my
mouse's right click menu.

How do I add it there?

Thanks in advance.

(I use Outlook 2007)

When I right click or select "File" or "Edit", the menu with does not appear,
just a faint right and bottom edge. The same happens when selecting the menu
buttons such as "New Message" or "Move to Folder". I have already tried
reinstalling and repairing using the disc.

When in Outlook Express, sites that should be accessible by simply "Right
clicking",
do not come up.

We are now using Office 2007 and enjoy the new features. One feature that is
greatly appreciated is the ability to hightlight text in Outlook and then
right click the mouse for translation. But what would be sweeter yet is the
ability to highlight text and right click mouse to do a Google, Windows Live,
Lycos, etc... search on the
highlighted text.

Has anyone heard of a way to add such a feature or option??

Thanks,

John

Most of the time the double clicking does not work and I have to do
File/Open/Selected.
It used to work all the time. What have I changed (unintentionally)
for it to misbehave?
Thank you.

I am running W7pro and Outlook 2007 SP2.
I make new pst files for each year and just did that for 2010. I do this so
each years email is sorted and I can keep only a few years online for
reference.
This is my view of the My Contacts right pane in Contacts.
Contacts
Contacts in 2009
Contacts in 2008
The first folder or whatever is part of my 2010.pst.
The second is part of my 2009.pst, etc.
How can I rename the Contacts item or folder to Contacts in 2010?
Right clicking will not work. The left-click properies do not lead to a
name change dialog. I have done this in Outlook 2003 but can't remember how.
Thanks

Hi All,

I'm creating a file with long filename (more then 200 chars ) in
Windows system using CreateFile method by prepending "?" in the
file name( as suggested in MSDN). The files is created successfully,
but I could not open the file by clicking the file. Even the "open"
menu in the right click is not working. The Right click shows only
two options - "open", "send to". Other options/menus like
"Properties" , "Copy", "Rename", "Paste" etc ., menu is not shown.

When File name is smaller (less then 150 chars) , my code works
without any problem and I can open the file, can see the "Properties"
and other menus when I right click.

Could you guess where i going wrong ?. What options should I use so
that I can see all right click options. For your reference, I paste
snip of my code,

HANDLE fileHandle = CreateFile("?D:LongFileName.txt ",
GENERIC_READ |
GENERIC_WRITE,
FILE_SHARE_READ,
NULL, CREATE_ALWAYS,
FILE_ATTRIBUTE_NORMAL, NULL);

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Sri
