Outlook Rules: How to filter on BCC info

I've created a rule that checks for messages sent to a distribution list,
but I'm finding that the rules is missing messages in a thread where the
sender moves the DL address to BCC. How can I write a rule that takes this
into account?

Thanks.

I just recently started getting a lot of spam that has random words in
the subject and body, but at the top, there is an HTML graphic with the
advertising pitch. Looking at the HTML source of the email, I found
some HTML code that identifies this type of spam pretty well, but I
can't figure out how to set up an Outlook filter that works on the HTML
source. I have no trouble filtering on visible text, but is there a
way to filter on the HTML source? If not, is there a good add-in
program that might help? I am using Outlook 2000 and Windows XP Pro.
Thanks.

Hello,

Somebody is spamming the sci.crypt newsgroup.

I wanted to filter the newsgroup on a certain ip address/nntp posting host.

It's not possible with outlook express ?

Can't filter on nntp posting host/ip address ?

Bye,

Using the Rules and Alerts in Outlook I would like to copy emails to specific
folders based on the address in the To field. At present the rule works on
addresses in all fields To, CC and BCC - how do I exclusively specify the To
field?

I'm trying to set up a rule to move all messages that I send which have
specific names in the BCC field.
This is an outbound mail rule (i.e. "Check messages after sending" in
the new rules creation wizzard), so I can see who I'm sending to in
each of the fields (To, CC, and BCC). The rules wizzard allows for
watching rules sent through a specific account, but I cannot see how to
filter the BCC field.

Any help would be appreciated. If this is not possible through the
wizzard, I am willing to program this with VBA; however, any pointers
to which objects in the Outlook DOM would be greatly appreciated!

(PS. I'll post all code I develop for this back here and/or on
microsoft.public.outlook.vba)

Kind regards,
Kevin

Hi everyone,

I would like to create a filtering rule under Outlook2003 that filters
acknowledgements of delivery and reading and to place them in an ad hoc directory.
So I didn't see any filtering possibility like this in Outlook. I tried to filter them with the words "Read:" in the subject but it didn't work ... or Outlook take into account any message with "Read" and ":" (separately) in the subject. That represents over thousandS messages in my box !
So i would like a rule that filters the mails on the basis of this image (that represents any "Read" or "Received" : ) ... That would be perfect !
Talented Network Admins or Outlook-Guru, this is YOUR time !

I am getting a lot of spam with things like "viagra" and "cialis" in the
sender name, where the sender address changes constantly. I'd like a rule to
filter on this. Can anyone tell me how?

Thanks
Philip

In Outlook 2007 I am trying to get a rule to filter on words in a sender's
name in the message header, and am getting nowhere. I can filter the same
emails with a rule specifiying part of the sender's address, but the
SenderName field seems to be unavailable to the rules. Am I missing something?

Hi, today I have the following request: cti Clients that controls Cisco phones are receiving Directory numbers in the Format 0xxxx(Subscriber), 00xxxxxx(national), 000xxxxx (international). xxxxx could be a phone number of any length in Europe. The Outlook contacts are stored in +e164 Format. How can I filter the incoming cti Voip number Format, to be able to match the +e164 Format in Outlook, and to have a correct lookup/popup of the contact informations, without modifying the stored number Format in Outlook. We can imagine a partial match, without the Zeros, or a complete match on +e164 with a number Transformation/filtering. On CISCO side nothing can be changed, as we have some restrictions on older phones to Support a complete +e164 Format. Thanks a lot

When I try to publish Free/Busy info to an FTP server, it always fails. It
turns out be Outlook 2003 only supports Active FTP, which doesn't work behind
a firewall. How to turn on Passive FTP? Is there a fix?

Trying to get a list of contacts that I need to call to get their address.
How to do this in Outlook 2007. Also have Outlook 2003 on another PC. Is
process different for that version?

Would also like to find how to filter records with a value and without a
value. e.g. who has an address and who doesn't have an address.

Thanks.

Hey all, I'm trying to filter email by attachment size. I had a couple of
questions. 1) is it even possible? I'm using the "with size in specific
range" rule right now. Is that the right rule to be using? 2) if it is the
correct fule, is it possible to filter on file sizes less then 1 KB? The
attachements that i'm trying to filter on are 328bytes and 624bytes. I want
to send the 328 byte file to a folder on my HD and forward any email with an
attachment over 624bytes to another address.

Thanks.
