Advanced toolbar disappears

I'm using Office 2000, Windows XP SP2 and IE7. I have Norton Antispam as a
plugin. Every time I open Outlook my Advanced Toolbar is not visible. I goto
options, select it and on the next restart it is unchecked.

All help appreciated.

I am using IE7 at home and at work. I have my Links Toolbar set to display on
both computers. When I open a new tab on my work computer, the Links Toolbar
disappears. This does not happen on my home computer. I use Office 2003 on
both computers. My home computer runs on XP SP2 operating system. My work
computer uses the Novell OS. What is making the toolbar disappear on my work
computer when I open a new tab?

Using Office 2003
When I open a blank e-mail in order to compose a new message, my Standard &
Formatting toolbars are missing. What I do is right-click on a blank area at
the top and then I check both toolbars to dock them at the top again. Then I
send or close the e-mail and both toolbars disappear. I want them to stay
there permanently. How can this be done?

Thank you, Karen

My wife and I have inadvertently entered search words into the Advanced
Toolbar, 'Messages, Messages with AutoPreview, Last Seven Day, etc.' drop
down box. How can I remove those additional entries to that drop down box?

Thanks, Dave Horne

Where is the Advanced toolbar?

Where is the Advanced toolbar?

Like it says... my Standard Toolbar has disappeared. The option is
checked under View -> Toolbars... if I uncheck/recheck it, nothing
changes... it's like the thing has hidden itself. I can move the
Advanced toolbar and the Menubar around, but the Standard bar never
reappears. Any suggestions on how to get it back???

Frankly, Outlook is driving me nuts - if it wasn't for needing the
Exchange functions for work, I'd kack it for Thunderbird. It locks up
regularly, I can't get it to default to an alternate calendar or
contact list, my Favorite Folders in email regularly re-order
themselves and sometimes simply disappear, and now at the same time
this toolbar has vanished, ALL the old/unused/hidden calendars and
contact lists I've ever had, magically reappeared under My Calendars
and My Contacts.

I have a similar problem but it is not the View setting, which is set for
"messages".
I'm using Outlook 2003. My problem is that new mail is not coming into my
InBox. It was working just fine, until two days ago, when I installed 7-zip
and used it to unzip some archived files I had requested. I'm not sure that
was the cause, just a coincidence. At first, after searching, I found my
incoming messages in a funny place, in Search Folders>Unread mail, but then I
tried to move them to my InBox but that didn't work. Later they disappeared
from my Unread mail folder but now they are coming in there again. How do I
force them to go to my In Box again, like they have been doing for years?

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

The formatting toolbar is not available when making new emails on one of =

I tried to recreate it (Customize|Toolbars tab), but receive an error =

Is there a way to get this toolbar back from wherever it disappeared to?

Can't use Word as editor, still using Office 2000. Waiting for next version.
HTML is the default mail format.

New message | Right click on toolbar | No "Formatting" toolbar is listed.
"Standard" and "Customize" are the only choices. That is the problem. Why
does it not appear on the list?

I built a bunch of custom toolbars in Outlook 2007. Suddenly they disappeared. Now when I re-build them, they keep disappearing.

Any ideas on how to get them back? If not, how do I get them to stop disappearing?

Thanks

I accidently, I'm guessing, clicked on Day Week Month View with Auto Preview
in the Advanced toolbar. My normal preference is DayWeekMonth.

With Auto Preview selected in the Advanced toolbar, _many_ of my entered
items in Calendar disappeared. That surprised me. They were of course
still in the program, I just couldn't see them.

Before I go any further with this, is this normal behavior? I also did a
scanpst.exe and came up clean.

Thanks, Dave Horne

Helping a friend who is new to Outlook Express. He has WinXP and OE6. His
e-mail WAS working fine, but now both in Inbox view and if he double clicks
to open a message, the toolbar with Reply, etc., etc. has disappeared. I
thought perhaps it got pushed up into the File-Edit toolbar, but he says (on
the phone; I haven't seen it myself) that a double arrow with the cursor
won't let him pull it down (if that's even the problem). I'm leaving town
tomorrow and would very much like to be able to help him before I go.
Thanks for any help with this.

Hello,

I have a Word Add-In COM dll originally developed for Windows 2000. It
adds a menu item to the File menu and a custom toolbar to Word. On one
user's machines, this add-in simply disappears. The menu item and
toolbar are just gone. If I have them run regsvr32 again to
uninstall/re-install the dll, they get the following error message:

DLLRegisterServer in C:blahblahmydll.dll FAILED Return Code was:
0xe06d7363.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? They are running Windows
XP SP2 with Office 2003 SP2.

I've made sure that the "Trust all installed add-ins and templates"
from the Tools - Macro - Security - Trusted Publishers tab is checked.
I do know that a company specific normal.dot is copied to the
/Templates folder each time the user logs in.

If I start Outlook and I'm using Word to edit/read e-mail and then I
open word, I know that my toolbars are suddenly not available anymore,
but my menu item is still under File and I can turn the toolbar back
on. On my user's machine, the toolbar, menu, everything is just gone.

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Sheri.

Hi,
Out of the blue the tools button has disappeared. Have tried the usual right
click in toolbar, choosing 'customise', however there is no TOOLS button
under 'Available toolbar buttoms' . Same thing with the 'MESSAGE' button that
is normally part of the toolbar selection. Totally disappeared. I still have
some buttons on the toolbar - 'CREATE MAIL', ' SEND/RECV', 'ADDRESSES' etc.
Obviously the 'TOOLS' button is fairly critical as you can't make changes to
options etc without it. I can't recall if OE has a 'FILE' button also, but
definitely do not have one now either.

Any help please.

The Formatting toolbar appears to be missing on one of our workstations
and would very much like to see its return.

However, the Formatting toolbar, for some unknown reason, appears to be
missing from the list of available toolbars.

ie.
Creating a New message (HTML). From that window, I choose, Tools -
Customize, "Toolbars" (tab), and "Formatting" is not in the list. All
other workstations in the office have "Formatting" here except this
machine. My machine.

How can I get it back? How does a seemingly undeleteable default type
toolbar disappear?

I have one user who often looses standard toolbar, she has to go into
view/toolbars and check it again. It happens now and again but often enough
to be annoying.
