updating my from email address to windstream.net instead of alltel

My DSL has been with Alltel for a couple years. When they merged with
Windstream, I got a new email address. Currently, when I send emails, the
from address is @alltel.net. How do I update that so it's from my new
windstream.net address? that way when people send me replys, it will go to
the windstream address.

Does anyone know of a routine or utility that would allow me to convert the
"From" email address to an Outlook contact, en mass?

I know how to do it one email at a time...what I need is something where I
can, for example, highlight 10 or 20 or all emails in a folder and convert
all the from addresses to contacts.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have changed my "from" email name in OL not to include my company name. As a result when I edit a previously created contact OL pops up a check name box and tells me it doesnt recognize contact (my old contact "from" name).

If I look at the contact "All mail fields" the "from" is MY old from address. This field is read only.
I was going to write a vb script to update this, but I cant even find an property to change.

I am able to get the contact item but contact.from, contact.sentonbehalfofname are not valid properties.

How can I change this via vb script or other way to update several hundred contacts

I have Outlook 2007 and it chooses my default email addresses to send a new
message. I know I can use the dropdown menu, and if you choose one it shows a
bar with the sending email addresses. I would like this bar to always display
as I have 3 different ones I use all the time, and keep forgetting to change
it.
I would like the toolbar constantly open to show which one I am using.

I keep sending them with my default and not changing. Please help.

Have just set up Outlook 07, and added my main email address to it. However,
i have a second email address which has a number of emails i want in outlook,
but i cannot seem to import them, although following the same tactic as
worked for the first email address. So, wonder if anyone knew why - or if its
possible.

Failing that, does anyone know a better way than individualling forwearding
all messages, a method of bulk forwarding from a googlemail address to
Outlook?

Hi!

I am running mu own exchange server via SBS 2003 and I have following quesiton:
Certain users receive their emails forwarded from certain other email addresses from outside to their exchange mailbox. When they send out emails using their exchange address, they want their original forward email address to be visible instead of the exchange username/mailbox. Is there a way of hiding the exchange username/address?

Here is how it works:

user@outside.com  receives an email, the email server outside.com (I have no access to this server) forwards the mail to my exchange server user@exchange.com . Now the user logs-on to the web interface on exchange.com and replies to the email but wants his outgoing email address visible as user@outside.com when he sends the email.

Thanks for the help

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is a programming question or just knowing Outlook better.

However, I am a using Outlook for home and work. I have a home and work
email address accounts. Then one of my clients needs me to access their
system, so they have created me an account. Now I have a third email address
for that one client.

When I email updates on that project, I sometimes forget to use their email
address. Then I get the standard email asking to please use their email
address when sending correspondence.

Is there a way to automatically specify a from email address account to use
when I am sending to a certain send to address or contact?

Thanks

Email sent to @comcast.net addresses is not being received when sent from my
new Employers domain. No error messages are being received back. he
people's addresses are in my Outllok Contacts.

Good morning everyone, I needed someone to assist me with to forward a message from a particular internet email address to a user on Exchange 2003. I know you can do this on clientside in Outlook in a rule for individual mailbox.

Example: How do I make all emails coming from only >> bjones@yahoo.com that are destined for any user on my exchange server to be forwarded to another user on my exchange server.

I hope this is enough info..

Thanks in advance

Tim

I'm using Exchange 2000 with GFI MailEssentials spam filter. I'm trying
to figure out how email addressed to non-existent users in my domain
wind up coming to me. Although I administer my Exchange installation I
have not designated an administrator within Exchange Server. If I send
an email from my personal Yahoo account to one of the accounts I've
received email for it gets rejected as undeliverable by my Exchange
server. However, when spammers sends to that address it gets through to
me and I don't know how. GFI identifies it as spam and moves it to my
spam folder but I receive hundreds of spam messages daily and, if I
could at least have these rejected by my server, it would reduce the
number of spam messages I'm receiving. Below is the header from one of
these emails. My email address is not listed although my domain
(hrtechnologies.com) is correct. Does anyone have an idea how to reject
these emails?

In Outlook Express we have the option to "Automatically add email addresses
to my Address Book" when we reply to a message. .... Tools / Options / Send
/ Click the box ... Automatically put people I reply to in my Address Book."

We are converting from Outlook Express to Outlook but cannot find this
option in Outlook. Is their such a facility in Outlook ??

Thanks

Can I automaticall save email addresses to the Address Book from emails that
come into my Inbox?

I use MS Outlook for Office 2007 in a Vista Professional environment with
Norton Internet Security Suite 2009. I am swamped by over 20 spam junk emails
that appear to be sent by my own email address, hence they always end up in
my in box. I have set Outlook's junk mail filter to the highest setting,
meaning only addresses in my contact book are recognized as non-spam/junk.
What else can I do to attack this problem?

Somehow the spammers are putting in my own email address as the 'from'
address. If I 'Add to blocked senders list' then won't I block myself?

eg In body of email near the top it says:
Joe Blow [me@mydomain.com]
To: me@mydomain.com

How the heck do they do that?
