I have the same signature for new emails as well as for replies and forwards
and what is happening is that when I send a reply or forward, the signature
gets double spacing. I tried deleting the hard returns and doing shift +
enter and that worked for 2 days but its reverted back. I tried this again
with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Thanks!

I am helping a friend with an Outlook problem. Someone changed some of
her options and now every time she hits the Enter key she gets double
spacing. She did not have this problem before. I looked at her
formatting and it appears to be set to single spaced. Please help.

I've noticed that when using HTML, you only get single-spacing when you
wrap-around. But when you want to move down a line by hitting enter, you
automatically get a double-space. Also, when you paste something in from
Word ('97) (using HTML), you automatically get double-spacing.

I realize that if you work in the plain text format, this is not a problem;
but is there any way to set OE 6 to automatically get single-spacing when you
hit "enter" and are using the HTML format?

When massaging a Reply or Forward message in Outlook 2000 and I hit Enter to
start a new line, my email (From) name
appears at the beginning of this line. It does not insert my name in a New
message.

I am using Outlook as my editor. It does not do this if I use MS Word as the
editor. Also, I do not use a signature.

Any thoughts on how to prevent this from happening?

When creating new emails, instead of a single space between sentences there
is a double space. Word editor is not being used. How do I change the
setting to default to single spacing on every new email being created. I
know that I can change each new email seperately by going to Format, Style,
Normal. But it does not keep the settings for the next new email that is
created.

I understand how to save attachments, but when I go to save them - for
example saving 2 drawings to my desktop - it will save each drawing with a
space inbetween them.

Any suggestions on how to change this?

I also have a problem with Word. When I open a "Blank / New Document" It
starts out Double Spaced. I have to go in and change it.

Any ideas / suggestions?

I created a backup of my outlook files but when I try to open them I'm told I need a password.
When I try to open a backed up pst file it prompts me for a password. However, I never created one.

I've done a ton of research online, and even found a thread below in this forum called: Importing a .pst file, with a password? Huh?

That thread is here:

http://www.msofficeforums.com/outloo...sword-huh.html

There's a link there that takes you here for a possible solution:

http://exchange.sembee.info/outlook/pst-password.asp

However, it doesn't apply to Outlook 2007, which I am running.

Does anyone know how I cam "bypass" this prompt for a password so I can open my pst files?

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Since going to Outlook 2003 from the previous version, I don't seem to be
able to get my outgoing messages in a single line space format. My default
somehow has been setup for double space, even my signature block appears in
double space. I use Word 2003 for my default message editor and when I
select single space, my text still remains in double space.

Help--Please, What steps do I need to take when I uninstall outlook 2003 and
install outlook 2007 in ultimate office 2007 so I will not loose all my
email, email accounts, email account settings, folders, contacts, email
addresses? Thank you and Blessings

I have implemented a new php form handler for a client's site. The php
program sends mail from the form in an email. The form results are formatted
using a plain text template created in Notepad. The template tells the php
program to display the results with a couple of hard returns between lines so
that the email will be readable. Here's the problem.

When I receive the email in Outlook Express on my laptop, the email displays
perfectly, with all results doublespaced for readability. When the email is
received on my desktop or on my client's machine using Outlook, the email is
all run together as one continuous line, making it completely unreadable.

I have tried changing email formatting without success. Can anyone please
help??
I need the Outlook results to display with the double spacing.

Thanks for any suggestions,

Every time I reply to an e-mail my signature becomes double spaced I have
tried the shift enter and that does not correct. Is there location in Outlook
that I can change the way that "Plain Text" and "Rich Text" looks on replys?

I am using OE 6 under XP SP2.

I have just tried using the Contact List to send emails instead of using
Tools/Address Book. Should have done that years ago.

One peculiarity puzzles me. No matter which contact I select, the text
portion of the message gets double spaced. (If I use my old method of
creating mail via Tools/Address Book, the text is single spaced.) I found I
could fix that for individual contacts one at a time by changing the format
from HTML to Plain text. Is there a way to make all contacts Plain Text all
a once without doing it for each one?

Is it normal for the text to be HTML when using the Contact List?

Thank you.

All of the sudden when I type my messages in my email it always double spaces.
I don't know what I did or how to change this back to the way it was.
I would really appreciate any help.
Thanks!
