Operation cannot be performed becuase the object has been deleted?

We changed severs over the weekend. From Saturday morning until; noon today
we successfully were sending/receiving via MS Outlook 2007 via the new
server's @ringdesigner.com's e-mail, as well as working well for our personal
account @comcast.net. Outlook 2007 was running great.

Then around mid-day today, every time Outlook starts a send/receive, Outlook
will not send/recieve, but we get the weirdest error (immediately) that says
something like (0x8004010A) "Operation cannot be performed because the
object has been deleted?????" You can see the exact error text via two
screen captures we posted at this URL address:

http://www.ringdesigner.com/4-Verio-Web-Hosting-Labor-Day-We ekend.htm

We ran Microsoft Office Diagnostics from Outlook 2007's Help, with no issues
or problems found. Those results posted on the URL listed above as well.

Really need our Outlook.

Any ideas? Thank you!

I have Outlook 2007 and everything worked fine until last night when I started receiving an error everytime the "send" button is pushed to send an email.  The error message reads:

"The operation cannot be performed because the object has been deleted."

No new software was installed and as far as I am aware no changes were made to the system to cause this.

I installed a hotfix that I found on the MS website that should have addressed the issued but it didn't.

I do not have a software disk since I downloaded the Office Enterprise version from my college website when I purchased it.

Someone please help me fix the problem so I can send emails again.

Thank you,

hi!

I've customized Contact form for OL-2003.I'm calling a procedure
Savedata
in Item_Write() in which I need to retiieve userproperties of
contactitem
and save them to database.Code is
dim c as outlook.contactitem

Set c = ActiveInspector.CurrentItem
---retrieving some userproperties of c in local variables
c.save ---to get entryID As I need to store it in database
varEntryId=c.EntryID
---saving userproperties of c and EntryID in database

for the statement c.save ,sometimes I get the error stating that
"The operation cannot be performed because the message has been
changed"
What is the reason behind this error?how to fix it. I also get the
error
"The item could not be saved because it has been changed by another
user or
in another window.Do you want to make a copy in the default folder for
the
item?" Are these two errors interrelated? Why do they occur normally?

Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to implement my own "Save and Close" button on an
appointment form. In my button-click handler, I am calling
_thisAppointment.Save(). The item does get saved, but I also get an
exception

"The operation cannot be performed because the message has been
changed."

The error code is -832306935. Does anyone know what will cause this
exception? I'm able to save the item by pressing ctrl-S with no
errors.

Thanks,
John

I created a new contact list and used it to do a mailmerge. I then updated
the list and tried to export it to do another mailmerge but it threw up an
error, so I deleted the previous export file and it then worked fine.
However, when I now try open the list it throws up the error "the operation
cannot be performed because the object has been deleted" and then
automatically closes Outlook and then opens it again. I deleted the export
file but it had no effect. Any ideas? I need to use the list again.

I am having increased issues when accepting
calendar updates from another user, who is the "owner" of the calendar
postings. When I go to accept the calendar update, I get the message
"the function cannot be performed because the message has been changed."
The only way to accept the update is to close out of Outlook, re-open
Outlook, and then the action of accepting the calendar update works.
Very frustrating and mystifying. Any ideas on a fix?

I have 3-4 users who cannot accect new meeting requests in Outlook
2003 SP2. They get the message "The function cannot be performed
because the message has been changed". If they close the request and
reopen it, they can accept the request. Anyone have any ideas?

A number of our customers have had this error message
"The function cannot be performed because the message has been changed"

This error occurs when a user attempts to accept a meeting from another
calendar that they have delegate access to. The meetings are new meetings and
opened for the first time.

The user is on XP, Office 2003 on spk2

message has been changed.

For your information, i add event handler for Contact_ItemRemove event. The
error will occur when i try to update UserProperties for the particular
contact.

I am using VSTO SE and Outlook 2007.

Hi there... TIA in advance for helping me to resolve the above error message.

Yesterday my computer blue screened while I was in one of my Outlook user profiles. I was able to repair it using advice from this forum on repairing .pst files. I was able to receive messages in a recovery folder name Lost and Found, in a subfolder named 8082 or something like that.

I noticed that my Inbox folder was missing, so I created a new folder and copied the messages in the recovered folder to it, and deleted the Lost and Found folder. Now I cannot receive messages in the problem profile. Other profiles work fine.

Suggestions on how to fix this?

Since my update of Outlook 2007, I now get an error message stating:
The operation cannot be performed because the object has been deleted.

Did some file cleanup over the weekend and now getting this error:
"Sending reported error "0x8004010a "The operation cannot be performed
because the object has been deleted."

This will no doubt be because I tried to create a new profile and
deleted the "lost and found" file that resulted from a previous
scanpst.exe.

My ISP helpdesk told me to delete all accounts and create a new one,
then couldnt' assist further and told me to call Microsoft who want to
charge me $75 to fix this.

Before I get my credit card out I thought it might be worth asking
here to see if I can get some advice to help me get this right.

Basically what I want to achieve is to set up a new profile/account/
whatever I need while retaining my existing calendar, contacts and
mail.

I am using MS Office 07 on Windows Vista Business.

Thanks in advance to whoever can help me sort this out.

I wrongly assumed that I could just copy my IMAP PST file to another drive, cancel the hosting account and then get access to the e-mail messages later ("Open an Outlook data file").

But when I DO try to open that PST file (that's 243mb big), Outlook just says "Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Outlook cannot access the specified folder location. The operation cannot be performed because the object has been deleted."

Am I completely hosed here? Are there tools (free or for a fee) that can read the messages in that file? Are the messages even IN there somewhere?

Thanks in advance for any help that can be offered.

I recently upgraded from Office 03 to 07. Most everything is working fine.
However, I recently discovered that my "To-Do" list accessed from the Tasks
option has a problem. I get the message "Cannot display the folder.
Microsoft Office Outlook cannot access the specified folder locations. The
operation cannot be performed because the object has been deleted." I don't
know what file is being referenced and I don't remember deleting anything.
When I access the To-Do BAR everything that is supposed to be there seems
okay. Any suggestion?

Hello,

I have a user in my network that when Outlook starts the AutoArchive process
this message appears:

Error while archiving folder "Start of IPM tree." in store "Personal".
Cannot read archive properties from folder Start of IPM tree.. Cannot create
archiving properties. The operation cannot be performed because the object
has been deleted.

All messages in the existing folder are AutoArchived to the file I choose
but the message is annoying especially to a user that is not IT.

Things I have done: Autoarchive to another pst file and apply new settings
to all the existing folders in the mailbox. Nothing worked

I have already search for this error in several sites and forums but
couldn't find anything.

Thanks in advance

I clicked "send/receive" which downloaded a sizeable number of new emails
(27MB) on Outlook 2003 (using a 2002 .pst file). At the end of the download,
there was a message saying there was insufficient space on the file and I
should reduce the file size.
I then clicked on the Unread email which gives an error "Unable to display
the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook could not access the specified folder
location. The operation cannot be performed because the object has been
deleted."
It's unclear to me whether the new emails are still on the PoP server or
deleted or whether the pst file is partially corrupt (the various other
folders read fine).

Any ideas would be welcome to re-download the files (I have clicked
send/receive again and it does not re-download the 27MB of files)

I moved all my contacts from a subfolder to the main contacts folder. Now
when I click on the activities tab I get the following message: "Outlook
cannot display this view. You need to reset your folder group. Right-click on
the folder, click Properties, and then on the Activities tab click the Reset
button. The operation cannot be performed because the object has been
deleted." I followed the directions but I still get the same error message.
How do I fix this?

I am creating a mailitem with attachments in my C# .NET application. Then we
the message item to add the email address and then click 'send' button to
send the email. We are using a add-in called MaX Compression for
compressing mail.

When this add-in is turned on we are able to send any plain email with out
any attachements.

When we add the attachements in our application, do a display, add address
and then click 'send' we get the following error
'Outlook Operation cannot be performed because the object has been deleted'.
However if we do the same thing with MaX Compression add-in disabled, we
are able to send the mail with attachements.

Also another thing to note is that when we create a mail from outlook
client, add attachements, it works fine whether MaX compression is enabled or
disabled.
Thanks

In my Outlook 2003 I had several synchronized SharePoint (WSS 2.0) contact
and calendar folders. As I installed Outlook 2007, all these came across to
new envrionment but I cannot seem to delete them. When I try to delete, I'm
told : Cannot delete this folder. Right-click the folder, and then click
Properties to check your permissions for the folder. See the folder owner or
your adminstrator to change your permissions. The operation cannot be
performed because the object has been deleted.
