Sync outlook between my mac and my pc

Years ago i needed to be able to sync my work PC Outlook calendars, tasks etc etc with my home PC, and it was as simple as emailing a file and importing it when I got home.

I now find myself with the same need, but this time, between my MacBook, and my home office PC.

I just want to be sure that either way, that whatever the files are, that the files are compatible between the two.

Now I've googled the subject - but no simple answer to a simple question

Email is not an issue, as the MacBook leaves a copy on the server, and I cc anything done on the MacBook to the office - might be messy for some, but I do ok with it...

All I want to be able to do, is be able to sync my calendar and contacts etc etc, between the Mac and the PC, and if it can sync the email even better.

It's MS Office Outlook, and it's made for PC and MAC - therefore, I should be able to sync the two computers in a simple manner!

I would appreciate some help from the wiser minds in the world, and thank them in advance

Cheers, Brad

I would love some advice on the best solution for keeping my contacts and
calendar synced between my Mac and PC (and iPhone). I currently have a Gmail
account setup in Outlook 2007. iTunes has no problem syncing my Contacts and
Calendar when I connect my iPhone (it’s not perfect but that is due to iPhone
limitations).

So I just purchased a new Mac. I was able to setup Gmail (IMAP) without a
problem. However, I am looking for a solution to automatically sync my
Outlook contacts and calendar (both directions hopefully). I don’t know if
the new Entourage 2008 will help with this or if there is a better solution.
I tried publishing my Outlook calendar to Office Online, but for some reason
iCal (and Google Calendar) have problems subscribing to this Internet
Calendar’s URL. Any good recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks….Randy

This is really beginner questions but Can a MAC user email usable files to a
PC user? I've used Outlook a bit but never with the MAC/PC compatible issue.

My boss has a MAC with Outlook and needs to email me his calendar so I can
call to confirm appts for the coming week. I set up the Contacts list on my
PC.

Will I be able to export the Contacts file to his MAC from my PC? I usually
do exports as a .pst file from PC to PC.

Will he be able to export his calendar from his MAC to my PC? It's not
imperative I import his calendar as I only need to look at the appts. If he
could export me an Excel file that would work too. But I don't know if I can
open a MAC Excel file in my PC

All I would like to be able to do is sync my outlook calendar and contacts

when I try to sync outlook with my pocket pc a message comes and says that I
dont have a microsoft exchenge server I want to know what is that and who to
sync my contacts, my inbox, my calendar etc. with my pocket pc

I recently updated my work and home PCs to Outlook 2007. Prior to the
update, I used my Dell Axim X30 to sync just my Outlook calendar at work
(which had one Outlook email acct) to my home (which had a separate Outlook
email acct). After updating to Outlook 07, I quickly discovered that Outlook
2007 is only compatable with Windows Mobile 5.0 and so my Axim X30 is unable
to successfully sync the calendars. Aside from updating my Pocket PC (which I
really only use for syncing the calendar on the 2 PCs), are there any other
convenient options available to sync calendars on 2 PCs which also have
separate Outlook email accts?
Thanks for any assistance in advance!

I have Mac and PC Outlook users connected to an Exchange 5.5 Server running on Windows 2000. Both clients also have access to shared folders on the server. Both Mac and PC users can drag a message out of Exchange and into a folder, but they cannot read each others emails saved in this way. Any suggestions?

I would like to synchronize Outlook between my notebook and desktop, but I am
not using Exchange server.
What's the best way to do this ?
Thanks,

Is there a way I can make changes to my Outlook calender, mail, contacts at
home on my laptop and have these auto sychronize over the internet to my
office desktop computer? (and vice-versa)

I know this is basic stuff that any scheduling program like Outlook must do.
And probably every else does it everyday easily.

I just do not know how to set this and do I can find the 'Sychronize my
Outlook between my Laptop and my Desktop Computers' button anywhere within
Outlook.

Is it hidden or switched off somewhere?

I have a personal digital assistant (iPAQ 4150, PDA) and a desktop PC (with
VISTA) which I synchronize with my Outlook info.

My problem is that I cannot sync all of the Outlook Calendar between my
desktop and PDA. The desktop info with back dates more than 2 weeks old does
not sync onto my PDA even though it is on my desktop PC. All future dated
Outlook Calendar info is synchronized without difficulty. Once I set the PC
system clock to 1/2007 and everything synched easily. When the correct time
was reloaded the PDA's back dates were deleted.

My question is: How can I maintain and synchronize my iPAQ 4150 with the
infor from passed dates in my Outlook 2007 Calendar which is on my desktop
PC. I have a need to use passed dates on my PDA as a reference diary.

I would like to sync my outlook 2007 data file between my main PC and
laptop. I've tried Sync Toy and it doesn't seem to help. Suggestions?

Thanks,
Brian

Ever since I got my new VISTA laptop, I haven't been able to sync between
Outlook 2003 calendar and my Ipaq 2215. I have installed the Windows Mobile.
I can enter appointments on my Ipaq and they show up on the Outlook
calendar, but appointments I enter on my laptop don't show up on my Ipaq. I
have read so many "help" sites that my head is spinning, and nothing is
working. I've totally given up on how I used to be able to then sync Outlook
with my MSN calendar.

I have two computers, both with Windows XP and Outlook 2003. I currently use
Active Sync 4.5 with a Pocket PC with Mobile 2003 to synchronize my Outlook
between the two computers.

I do not sync e-mail, only calendar, tasks, contacts and notes.
Other than copying PST files is there a way (or program) that I can sync the
two Outlooks automatically using a thumb drive?

I am looking at something that is easy to use like the Pocket PC is now –
just plug in and let it go.

How do I create a oaanrtnership between my laptop using Activsync 3.8 and my

Any help would be most appreciated since I will be needing this for fall
classes cming up soon.

I am using MS Office Pro 2003.

Is it possible to sync outlook data between my desktop (primary) and laptop?
I use Briefcase to sync other files. Is it possible to do that with Outlook
files too? Which files?

Thanks, Gary

Until an hour ago I had a very smooth syncronisation of outlook between my wife and I. We both have PCs running outlook 2010 and both have blackberries that we sync to our own PC by cable. To keep the 2 PCs synced I use Syncing.net which copies every change to outlook on one pc to the other. Been working fine for years.

Problem started because Syncing.net have gone out of business (but still working on our pcs) due to the rise of cloud providers so I was looking for a cloud solution. We like to share our calendars and contacts and currently do our email, but probably not neccessary. After lots of research I thought Apple iCloud would do the trick for contacts and calenders so installed it. to my horror I found it completely wiped the outlook folders so will no longer sync with our blackberries. I managed to retrieve an outlook backup, but our syncing.net is completely destroyed and I dont think will ever work again.

So I'm hoping someone clever out there has a solution. Short term I need to find a way to continue syncing our blackberries with our own pcs and own outlook, but need to syncronise the contacts/calender at least between pcs.

Longer term my wife wants to switch to an iphone (which would have been fine with our old cable set up) so ideally any new solution should be able to cope with blackberry or iphone. Ideally we would move away from the need for cables and have a cloud solution, but suspect that is only possible if we have the same phones.

Wife currently furious as her outlook is completely useless so any advice really appreciated.
