Problem saving message to draft folder

I'm using Outlook 2003 SP3. When starting an email message, if I was to save
it to finish it later, I'm unable to save to the drafts folder. Instead, when
I click on save I get the Save As dialog box for me to save the file. I would
expect that clicking save will result in the message being saved to the
drafts folder for me to continue and send later.

On the Tool, Options, Mail Format menu, I have selected the option to Use
Office Word to edit messages, and deselected the option to Use Office Word to
read Rich Text messages.

Any suggestion on how to get the message to save to my drafts folder?

DearAll,

I Just configured the new exchnage setup of 2010 every things were executed fine there were no error but while sending emails by using OWA, emails are getting saved in to draft folder. Checked the message queue but nothing is there in the queue and status is showing "Ready" delivery type "Unidentified" checked mailsubmission service its runing and restarted it again but no luck.

Mail submission service is runing as local but not as domain.

please help to trouple shoot this issue.

Thanks,Regards,

Shahnawaz

I know unsent messages can be saved to Draft folder but can you also save a
Sent message to the Draft folder to be re-used/re-sent later without
re-typing the email address into the To section ?

Dear All,

Hello to you all, my first posting here.

I am currently developing an Outlook Addin using Visual Basic 2005 with Visual Studio Tools for Office.

I am wanting to get the system to save messages to a folder of my choice when the user clicks on save instead of saving it to the default folder of 'Drafts'.

The addin is been built round the Inspector Class by Sue Mosher.

Have not been able to get this implemented. Can any of you guys suggest how it can be done?

I have a user that has been saving his messages as .msg files into a folder
on our server. We use Exchange Standard and are looking at upgrading to
Enterprise version because of the db limitation. My question is... what
problems would we have by saving messages to a folder on our file server
instead of upgrading to the Enterprise version. I am not talking about using
..pst files. The user saves each message that he wants to keep onto the file
server. I have not been able to come up with any reason why he cannot do
this.

When I receive an e-mail into my Inbox and I click the 'reply' button. I
start to type my reply, but decide to save in my drafts folder. The orignal
message in my Inbox shows 'you replied on xxxxx' but yet I have the reply
sitting in my drafts folder. Is there a way you can turn this off and show
'replied on' for when you SEND a reply?

I seem to be having a problem saving messages to folders I've created
recently. I've been using Outlook for several years and never had this
problem until we recently updated to Outlook 2003 SP3. Now when I save an
email message to a folder, it displays as a message from myself, not the
person who sent it. Is there a setting I'm missing?

One of my business clients would like me to save messages regarding his
business to an external drive on my laptop computer for security reasons.
That is, I would like to save messages to one individual folder on an
external drive while still using folders on my internal drive for other
messages. This is not for archiving purposes but routine saving with ready
access when I'm using my email program. I am currently using Outlook Express
and apparently this is not possible. Can I do this in Outlook?

Hi,

I'm using OE as my newsreader, and can copy a newsgroup message to an OE
folder, but can't seem to recall how to save a message to a Windows folder.
Also, is there a way to save the messages to a Windows folder so they are
"grouped by conversation"?

Thanks in advance.

let me explain a bit further. We can send and receive email using Outlook and there is no problem with it . But using OWA, we can just receive, not sen . Emails which are to be send, just goes to draft folder to send, but they wont. I can't delete them from draft folder and receive a permission denied when want to empty

Hello, We currently have two situations now with users who exclusively use OWA for email.  The first issue is that in certain areas where these users work the power goes out alot and they lose all their work in Word, Excel, and OWA.  The second situation that is happening is that the users in other areas of the country is that the screen saver kicks in and the users keep locking their accounts out because they leave CAPS locks on or something.  Anyway, these users windup manually restarting theri PC's to fix the issue but it does not work as we all know.  In an effort to fix the issue we are implementing "autosave" features for all our applications.  This way in the event this happens at least they would still have their work saved.  I want to do "autosave" to draft folder for OWA but I can't find out how to do it.

Does anyone know if OWA  2007 has an "Autosave" feature?

Thanks for any help,Capt.

Hi,All

I faceing same problem .These problem are Sending a message via OWA 2007 puts message in Drafts folder. and income message also come drafts floder.

Thank
prakash

In a previous e-mail program, when I sent a message a dialogue box popped up
to ask me if I wanted to save a copy of the message to a folder. I've been
to "Tools" and "Options" to try and turn this on, but it doesn't seem
available.

I'd rather not have messages automatically go into my sent folder.

Thanks

Outlook Express: when I send messages the messages are being sent, but I am
getting an error and they will not move to the sent folder. I have tried
going in an unchecking the two boxes in the 'send options' (move messages to
sent folder and the send messages immediately) and then restarting, but that
does not seem to fix the problem.

Any ideas??

In Outlook 2003, it was easy to open a message, copy it to a folder, then
save it to another folder. I don't see how to do this in Outlook 2007. Is
there a way?

Hi, my outlook recently started to save drafts of messages in my drafts
folder and leave them there even after sending the messages. I've tried
all of the save message in drafts folder settings but nothing works...

Any ideas?

I would like to remove attachments as the come into my email box and save
them to a folder on the C drive. Is it possible to create a rule that allows
me to do this.

I find drag and drop of messages to specific folders too fast, with the
folders racing by as I try to "drop." I know I can move manually via the
dialog boxes, but is there any way to slow down drag and drop?
