Error Code 0x80070057

I have a user that is trying to synchronize his folders off line. Everytime Outlook tries to sync I keep getting an error message that says:
"microsoft Exchange Server" reported error 0x80070057 COuld not complete the operation. One or more parameters are not valid. I am running exchange server 5.5 and I have never encountered a problem like this. Can someone offer some advice?

We run a small business network of Windows 7 Pro clients hooked up to an SBS2003 server with Outlook for e-mail.

Yesterday, I added a second user account to one of our laptop clients then logged on as this user.  When I tried to configure Outlook, I received an error code 0x80070057.

Outlook works perfectly well when switching back to the previous user account.

Any suggestions?

John

I installed Office Standard Edition 2003 on a computer that has Windows Vista on it.  I can't get my settings right to use Outlook for a Yahoo email account. I get the error "Task Yahoo.com: Folder: Inbox Synchronizing header. 'reported error (0x80070057): 'an unknown error has occured.  Please save any existing work and restart the program.'

Hi All,
We are running Windows 2003 SP4 and Exchange 2003 SP1. Since last couple of days we have started facing a problem. The server gets rebooted unexpectedly with the System Failure Error Code :"
Stop error code 0x00000050 (0xffffffe8, 0x00000001, 0xe103fb88, 0x00000000)".
On checking the Event Logs there was a Event Id 6008 generated.

Can someone please help us resolve this issue as its creating a lot of problem and we are not in a positoin to search the fix for this.

Thanks,

I have this error code in the section for the location of the log files for message tracking.  Everything I have found so far has been tried with no success. Can anyone out there assist with this issue, I really need to use the message tracking feature on my Exchange 2003 server

Hello

I'm running MS Exchange 2003 in mixed mode, Exchange server is also a DC and a GC. A little while ago I started getting this error in the Exchange servers application log:

Event Type:    Error
Event Source:    MSExchangeFBPublish
Event Category:    General
Event ID:    8213
Date:        5.9.2008
Time:        6:32:51
User:        N/A
Computer:    MAILSRV
Description:
System Attendant Service failed to create session for virtual machine MAILSRV. The error number is 0xc007052e.

For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.

This error generates once in about 20 - 25 minutes. Recent changes that we have made in our organization is that we "mail-enabled" our child domain and configured mailboxes, RUS etc.
The mail flows just fine and there's no issue concering creating new users or groups, it all seems to be in order. We also changed the administrator account password recently but I've already checked that there's no service on the server running against administrator account. I also updated the changed administrator password to excahange organization in System Manager under administrative groups. There doesn't seem to be much info about System Attendant Service error code 0xc007052e, only a few posts in this forum and none
of the sollutions apply to my case. Would you guys have any idea on how to continue because i'm lost?

Can anyone tell me where to find a complete listing of Exchange error codes and what they mean? e.g. 4294965693 ------------------

1) Does anyone know how MSE reacts to SMTP error codes 550-555 that it receives?

The MS Exchange 5.5 server I have access to seems to react in a funny way when _sending_ mail to a test bed of mine that I am using for spam investigation.

When MSE sends the RCPT TO: command I returned error codes 550 thru 555 and found:
Code 552 caused MSE to retry to send (this I believe is correct behaviour)
Code 555 caused MSE to retry once
Code 550, 553 and 554 didn't cause a retry but also didn't cause a reject msg to appear in my MSE client.
551 caused a reject to appear in my client, but MSE did not return the actual error text I sent back. Instead it said:

The e-mail address could not be found. Perhaps the recipient moved to a different e-mail organization, or there was a mistake in the address.

While this is kind of correct for 551, I would have prefered MSE to return the text I sent it, since it contained an explicit reason for the recipient's address not being valid.

2) Are there any error codes for which MSE does return the text it gets for an SMTP error? Like I said, I'm surprised I only got a reject for the 551. Any ideas as to where the rest of the messages went?

I have noticed recently that one client (running win7 with outlook 2007) is not getting updates to the GAL and OAB.

I have determined this to be isolated to their computer and not other machines.  I have also logged onto that same machine (win7 outlook 2007) as another user and confirmed the GAL is up to date.

The problem I am having is retrieving the GAL each day when outlook starts up.

Below is the error returned.  (the event log lead me to BITS being the issue when i noticed that the BITS job limit reached its maximum of 60).

The server is in the network with the specified domain. When I do a ping
using the DNS name and the IP address they are both succesful. Also if I
query the port 389 using the portqry utility it also resolves the name to the
correct IP address. Thus this error is not allowing me to complete the
installation of the Exchange 2000 Server. Does anyone have any suggestions
here?

We have two Server, one of which is the domain controller and that machine is
also acting as Mail SERVER (MS Exchaneg Server 2003) also this machine is
running Symantec Mail Security for Exchange. This domain controller is at the
back of another machine which is the Gateway machine to the Internet. This
machine is running ISA Server as well as Symantec Antivirus Server Corporate
Edition 9.

Exchange Server IP is mapped on the ISA Server machine in order to have
remote access to the exchange machine. There is no connector in the Exchange
settings and in the relay settings we have only allowed internal LAN
computers (Only allow the list below option) and also selected "allow
authenticated users to relay" option. Now the error is that one of our client
goes remote and now when he is sending emails, he is able to send emails to
the local domain, but he is'nt able to deliver emails to any external domain.
He is using Microsoft Outlook Web Access to access the SERVER.

The error code which is being generated is.

550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for xxxxx@xxxx.com.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards.

Tabassum.

// Set the content header length. This must be

Request.ContentLength = bytes.Length;

// Get a reference to the request stream.
RequestStream = Request.GetRequestStream();

// Write the SQL query to the request stream.
RequestStream.Write(bytes, 0, bytes.Length);

RequestStream.Close();

// Set the content type header.

// Send the SEARCH method request and get the

Response = (HttpWebResponse)Request.GetResponse();

The last line gives the non supported error code 501.

Thanks for any help.

My organization uses Exchange 5.5 server. I need to make LDAP directory
searches (find user email by username). I use java client to perform the
search. I connect to LDAP as a user of domain "DMN" (cn=my_username,dn=DMN)
and issue a search with search base o= and search filter
(&(objectClass=person)(anr=p*)) (just for test). I get the error [LDAP: error
code 50 - Insufficient Access Rights]; remaining name 'o='. Same
error is returned when I try to browse LDAP tree (I can only see tree nodes:
cn=Configuration,ou=,o=, but can't see any node
contents). Our exchange admin says that all users of domain DMN have the
ability to search the directory. Indeed, I use same account in Outlook and
able to access address book. Does the admin need to add specific LDAP
permissions or something?

Info you need to know. My child domain is mgt.gt.buzz. I have a building
firewall that is open to cc.gt.buzz, but not to coe.gt.buzz. A Enterprise
admin logged into my DC and ran the setup. The error we got upon trying to
install the Custom Management tools was an "unknow installation error" The
Exchange Server Setup progess log is below. Any ideas why i got this error

I am getting Error Code 0X8004010F when I hit the send/receive button. Mail
is flowing normally, though. There is no error message with Outlook 2000
connecting to the same Exchange 2003 server. We are using Cached mode with
the Outlook 2003 client, but the error appears even if I disable that
option. The error code appeared when I initially installed Exchange 2003,
and went away. It has mysteriously returned.

Does anyone know what the error is and how it can be resolved?

Thanks.

i had installed exchange server 2003 ,and its qorking quite normally but as i
send and receive my emails on client end i receive an error code thats says

"Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x8004010F) : 'The
operation failed. An object could not be found."

I am getting several:

"Failed to access the metabase, error code is 80040154 (Class not registered)."

And after reboot:

Msg - Error initializing session for virtual machine "server". The error number is 0x8004011d. Make sure Microsoft Exchange Store is running.

Msg - The MAD Monitoring thread was unable to read its configuration from the DS, error '0x80040154'.

We have only had Exchange now for 2 months, and it worked fine up until a few days ago. Cannot seem to pinpoint the issue, but trying to restart the "store", and restart services, and even rebooting, nothing clears it. Actually first noticed there was a problem when we could not access through OWA. The messages repeat bin the Event Log every minute or so.

We are not experts by any means either, so hopefully this is an easy fix. appreciate your help.
