When I startup outlook after being away from the office for the day, some
emails are not there, there is nothing in the subject line. However, the
time stamp is still there, when I click to open the email nothing is there
except the time stamp and a blank screen. Has this ever happened to you?

I have VISTA, OFFICE 2007 and Outlook 2007.
I have gotten feedback from a number of people that my Outlook 2007 emails
sent are not opening as an html format.
I understand this as a problem for people with aol, BUT it has also happened
when I send an email to a computer that has VISTA and uses the Windows mail
program that comes with VISTA.
They don't get any attachments ie: pdf, doc, jpg files.
My emails open as plain text although I send them as html.
I've been told I'm the only sender to the "Windows Mail" recipient that
doesn't send the graphics properly!!
I don;'t know how I've set my mails that they don't get opend properly.
What can I do?
Thank you,
Marc

I'm using Outlook 2007 to send/receive email via my Google Apps (GA) account, effectively using gmail as my exchange server. I'm also using the google sync tool to synchronize the information between Outlook and GA. Everything works perfectly, except:

Sometimes, when I send an email to someone via Outlook, it goes in to the recipients spam folder. If I send them the exact same email using the GA gmail interface (from within Chrome, IE, or Firefox), and send it to the exact same address, they get the email just fine.

My assumption is that theres something thats either not configured correctly in Outlook, or that Outlook is adding to the emails that the spam filters are picking up on.

Any thoughts?

Here's the email header from the google account:

Hi,

I have successfully sent and received emails from ms outlook 2000, this
check confirms that all my internet connection details are correct when
using an ADSL Speedtouch modem. .

BUT

when i automate outlook through ms access 2000, i manage to get the
emails to sit inside the outbox and when i manually click send and
receive it confirms that the emails have been sent, but i know they
have not been sent because the emails are still present in the outbox.
I am just sending test emails containing an email address and something
in the subject, i removed the attachment incase it was the problem.

I have done a repair on office 2000 and am unsure of why the automated
emails are not being sent, but manually written emails are being sent
and received.

Can any one help or guide me in the right direction.

Maryam

Hi Guys,

Here are the facts:
- Company Group Policy Forces Outlook users to send emails in plain text
- We send out alot of documents via PDF
- Outlook 2003 is run on Windows 2003 server under Citrix

It seems that alot of our clients are not receiving our PDF attachments
correctly. I have done a few tests myself sending from my personal account.

I have seen the following:
- Sending a PDF attachment either via plain text or HTML encoded emails
works when I receive the email via Hotmail. Though HOTMAIL doesnt show the
attachment paperclip on the Plain Text Email, the attachment is still present.
- Sending a PDF attachment to my personal ISP email account (read via
webmail) with a PLAIN TEXT EMAIL does NOT work, the email I receive is crap.
- Sending a PDF attachment to my personal ISP email account with a HTML
EMAIL does WORK.

Basically, when its not working, I just get the file dumped out in plain
text. EG:

Only some of my emails are received by recipient. When I send an email it
gets moved into the Sent box. But some addressees don't receive the email
altho the address I use is correct. This is a recent problem. When I tried to
send myself an email I rec'd msg from"System Administrator" saying
"Undeliverable"; "email account does not exist..." I do exist. Then my
email/contact info was deleted from addresses.

Here is a tough one for you guys / gals..at least I think it's tough. No one I've talked to so far has been able to help me out with this one.

Background:

Windows Server 2003 Standard
Microsoft Exchange 2003
70GB Data Store
Barracuda Spam Filter 200

Issue:

Within the last 4 days or so, I've noticed that all emails I've gotten that are outside of our organization are not formatted / no HTML. They are just plain text email. Internal emails are fine..if I'm sending emails back and forth with someone inside of the company, I see all the formatting (bold, italics, paragraphs etc etc), but once I start talking via email to someone who is outside of our organization, I lose all formatting.

For example, I sent myself an email from my exchange account here to my Hotmail account. I check the email on Hotmail, and it's fine. I see the formatting / pictures etc etc. But once I hit reply then send it back into our organization, the formatting is gone.

All of our clients here are either outlook 2007 or 2003.

I've talked with Barracuda, and they say it's not them as their filter does not touch message bodies. I can also see all the formatting and HTML when viewing the message body from the spam filter. It seems like this happens once it hits the exchange server.

I have no software running on the exchange server that would interact with emails in anyway.

I have changed nothing on the exchange server, but checked the internet format anyway. Mime type is set to plain text, and the RTF formatting is set to be decided upon by individual users settings.

The funny thing is this. I went and looked at some of my emails from a couple of months ago, and they are now all plain text as well. It's almost as if somehow, a script or something ran through our entire exchange data store and formatted all the emails as plain text, but I have nothing like that.

I'm out of ideas here..I have no idea whats caused / has caused this, nor how to fix it right now. There are no errors in the system logs, and everything works fine.

Any suggestions / ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Does anybody know why Exchange Server 2003 running on Windows 2003 would quit
creating emails when a user is added? It had been working fine up until
about a month ago. The checkmark box to have it created is still checked,
but the emails are not being created. I can add the emails manually, but
they don't show up in Outlook, nor do they allow a profile to be set up. I
don't remember changing anything that would have causes this. Any ideas or
suggestions would be really appreciated.

We have Exchange 5.5 in a 2K AD Domain.
When new email accounts are created in the Exchange the email addresses are
not replicating correctly to the connected domains.
The new accounts created in AD Comp. and Users replicates, but w/no email
address shows up at connected sites in the Global Address.
How to I correct the replicatio so that the new accts. created in the Ex5.5
replicates the email addresses?
thanx.

I have imported my accounts but I can't get any of my emails. When I click on
my hotmail inbox I get the following message saying there is an error running
scripts on this page.

http://officeupdate.microsoft.com/office/redirect/10/Outlook HotmailPane.asp?DPC={6E8DD200-AB04-11D1-B5B8-006097C998E7}&a mp;DCC={CC29E96F-7BC2-11D1-A921-a

I also can't find my POP3 accounts. They are not in any Inbox folders

I have recently changed my ISP and changed my connection from a dial-up to
broadband (DSL). Consequently, I can no longer send through my old account,
although I can still receive ( I have left it active while all my contacts
get used to the new email address). However, although I have configured
Outlook not to send through my old account (Tiscali), and now redirect all
outgoing mail through my broadband (Virgin) account, everytime I click on
Send & Receive, Outlook (XP or 2002) attempts to send 15 messages through my
Tiscali account, despite the fact that these 15 emails are not in my Outbox
or anywhere else on the system, as far as I can tell.

I have tried all the 'automatic' fixes I can think of, including
reinstalling Outlook and loading all updates, both specific Outlook and
general Office XP, but I am still getting this problem.

Please, could anyone suggest a solution to this problem? I look forward to
all pertinent suggestions.

I am using Outlook 2007 and Outlook Express 6.0. For the last week none of
my emails have been delivered even though they are in the sent box. I am
receiving emails just fine. I have sent emails using the web and it works so
its not my provider. I have also turned off my anti vrius and security
programs but still the emails do not get delivered using either of the above
programs. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks

I use Windows XP and Outlook 2003. Up until a few months ago when I was
travelling I was able to retrieve my emails from an outside terminal
accessing outlook thru the web. Recently I am unable to retrieve my email
that way because for whatever reason all my emails are being received on my
office computer whether Outlook is open or not. The only way I can remedy
this is to run Detect and Repair and then reboot my system. When I do that I
get a message stating "the data file My Stuff was not closed properly...etc".
Outlook then works OK for a day or 2--I am able to receive my email from
anywhere- and then the same thing happens all over again. Can you please
suggest what I can do to fix this--Thanks

Our CEO had 'automatic formatting' turned on (apparently) when we moved her
over to 2003 this week. She still likes that some emails arrive in larger
fonts or different colors. But, it appears as though that THOSE particular
emails are *NOT* allowing the reply and forward arrows to appear next to the
envelope icon in her inbox.

Please help, if possible. Thanks.
