Exporting email addresses to csv file from Exch2003

Can anybody point me to the best way or best tool to export users names and
email addresses from Exch 2003 to a .csv file?
I'm an old 5.5 guy and can't find info on this. I've been asked to export a
list of all my companies user names and email addresses.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello,

I know of a way to export email addresses to CSV. Is there a way to export to XML? I tried to convert CSV to XML but I'm not having any luck with that. If anyone can help with doing that, it would be great.

When I try to export my addressbook (.wav) to a csv file, the result will not
contain all marked columns.
E.g. if I mark "First Name", "Last Name", "email address" .... to be
exported, the csv file will contain the seperator signs as place holders for
"First Name"; "Last Name", but will generally not export the name itself,
while the email address is always exported. In a few (very rare) cases, the
name will also be exported, so there is no fixed rule what goes wrong.

On the other hand when I use the addressbook to retrieve an address, all
names are there and will also be shown correctly in any email message.

Hi All,

Is it possible to have a macro that exports BCM database to CSV file? I can't seem to find any after days of searching. I want to start writing VBA codes for it but I am really really new to VB (stuck in VBA going nowhere). I see codes to create email in outlook and what not, but there isn't much on BCM. Please advise or direct me to a necessary sites / references.

Hi,

With Exchange 2003, users are controlled by ADUC. I cannot seem to able
to export existing users and their email address to CSV format. This was
easily done in Exch 5.5. May I ask how can one complete such task?

I have a large number of calendars which are sub-items of my main calendar. Every week I have to export each calendar by appointment name and location to a CSV file for processing. The problem is that there seems to be no obvious way to export them all at once.

If I'm exporting them to a .pst file, the dialog gives me the option to "include all subfolders." However this option is missing when exporting to other file types. Which means that I have to export each calendar manually - a real chore, especially as the export tool doesn't even have a date selector to select a range, I have to enter the start and end dates manually.

I've tried a couple of add-ons which allow one to export multiple calendars to CSV, unfortunately they either didn't allow for a date range to be specified, or they didn't allow the mapping of fields and exported everything. My processing requires that I only have the name and location, nothing more.

Does anyone know of an add-on which can do this, or alternatively a convenient workaround to achieve what I'm looking for?

Hi

I wonder the best way to go about exporting multiple mailboxes to pst files from powershell ? I would like to use export-mailbox cmdlet on multiple mailboxes.

I've created a user whom is added to Exchange Server Administrators role and local Administrators group. What I do need help with is to use Add-Mailboxpermission on the entire database in an adequate manner and how to use wildcard parameters for exporting all mailboxes in database.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated !!!

I am trying to export my contacts to a csv file and I know how to do the
steps. BUT each time I create a csv (even tried to export using Excel) the
fields I choose (first, last name, email address) show up in the file but
none of the contacts make it over. I had someone help me once and somehow she
actually found a way to start the process by Mapping the fields with the
contacts information and then the transfer completed the rest of the
contacts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

How do you export email address aliases to a file? I can export all kinds of
data from Active Directory, but I want to export a listing of users and their
email addresses as well as extra addresses listed in exchange 2003.

How can I do this???

Thanks for any help you can give me.

What to add more than one email address to Outlook 2003's Block
Senders List?

Export
Go to File
Import and Export
Export to a file
Comma Separated Values
Junk E-Mail folder
Name the file
Click Browse for the location
Map Custom Fields
Clear Map
Drag "From(Address)"from Values to Field
Finish
Open the file, save as, with txt extension

Import
Tools
Junk Email
Junk Email Options
Block Sender
Import from File
Select text file

Wouldn't do this everyday but maybe every week depending on the amount
of spam you get. If the junk emails are not going to the junk email
folder beforehand. I deleted them then move them to the junk email
folder before I do the export.

I am trying to export my email addresses from my outlook 2003 to I Tunes so that I can sync them to my I Phone. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to move those addresses?

Good morning everyone, I needed someone to assist me with to forward a message from a particular internet email address to a user on Exchange 2003. I know you can do this on clientside in Outlook in a rule for individual mailbox.

Example: How do I make all emails coming from only >> bjones@yahoo.com that are destined for any user on my exchange server to be forwarded to another user on my exchange server.

I hope this is enough info..

Thanks in advance

Tim

Hi,
Is there any easiest way like exch.5.5 to export and import address list or any software that has this utility. thx.

How do I export outlook express email addresses to outlook. Everything I
have read says I cannot do it unless the programs are on the same computer.
There must be another way. I cannot believe Microsoft created such a problem.

We recently purchased a new laptop. The Outlook 2007 trial has finished on my
computer. I have decided I want to use Outlook 2003. Can I copy/tranfer my
emails and email address to outlook 2003. The import/export/copy/cut
functions are all disabled. Can I copy my emails/contacts to another file? If
I uninstall Outlook 2007 and then install Outlook 2003 will my emails and
contacts be lost?

I'm running Outlook 2003 and have 3 email addresses setup (2 are general
delivery and one is my personal), when I'm replying to an email I get the
option to change which email address I'm replying from but on new emails I
don't so they are always sent from the personal email. Is there a way to
have the "from" field show on new emails so I can select one of the three
addresses as needed?

I cannot add a new contact in Office Outlook 2003. When I click on Ctrl+N or
any menu to Add New Contact an error message comes up saying "The form
required to view this message cannot be displayed. Contact your
administrator". Perhaps I am overlooking an obvious step somewhere. Can
someone help? Thanks.

I don't seem to have the same issue as you do, because as long as I have the
text in the Clipboard (whether it's visible on the right or not), I can
right-click the E-mail field in the Contact form and Paste is available. To
be honest, though, I've never used the right-click method to paste -- I
always just click CTRL+V. If you've found a way to paste your addresses to
your satisfaction, I guess we can consider this issue "closed"...otherwise, I
might suggest you run a Detect and Repair on your Office installation to see
if that changes the right-click menu options.

Yes, it comes into the clipboard correctly. If I right click on the email
address in the contacts form the paste command is not available. If I start
the clipboard and click the email address entry there and choose paste then
it does appear in the email address form. I notice if you double click the
entry in the clipboard it will paste into the contact form or probably where
ever the cursor was last established. Is the right click to paste supposed
to work? I think I have just discovered that establishing the cursor with a
left click is critical to get the right click to work. Thank you, I am glad
to see the clipboard re-established in Office.

I cannot reproduce this issue in my copy of Outlook 2003 -- I regularly copy
e-mail addresses from incoming messages and paste them into existing
contacts, in the e-mail box on the Contact form.

Can you turn on the Office Clipboard (from the Edit menu) and see what the
copied text looks like after you copy an address?

copying that and pasteing it into the contact form.

I'm not sure what you mean about not being able to copy and paste an address

are you trying to paste? Contact form? Contact List? Somewhere else?

little strange to say the least.

What am I doing wrong to export my Outlook contacts to a
single-line-per-record ASCII comma-separated-value file?

I can quite easily import a single-line-per-record ASCII csv file into
Outlook Contacts; but whenever I export, I seem to always end up with a
multi-line-per-record ASCII txt file as a result.

Here is what I do (wrong, it turns out):
1. I start up Microsoft Outlook 2003 in Windows XP
2. File | Import and Export | Export to a file | Next
3. Comma-Separated Values (Windows) | Next
4. Select folder to export from: Contacts | Next
5. Select exported file as: contacts.csv | OK | Next
6. Export "Contacts" from folder: contacts | Finish

Here is the ASCII single-line-per-record comma-separated-value input
file format:
,etc.

Here is the multi-line-per-record ASCII text exported result:
Last Name: Kennedy
First Name: John
Mobile: (123) 555-1212
E-mail:

When I attempt to export contacts to CSV file I get the following error
messge: Microsoft cannot start the required translator. This feature is not
