Hi folks,
I have an Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003 server using Outlook 2003 clients.
I am getting an undeliverable when I make a meeting request to someone inside
my network and someone outside my network:

This message could not be sent. Try sending the message again
later, or contact your network administrator. Error is

Does anyone know what this error means? Thanks!

One of our users started getting this error yesterday as well when sending
out meeting requests:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'Internal User' on 1/7/2009 2:55 PM
This message could not be sent. Try sending the message again
later, or contact your network administrator. Error is
[0x80070057-00000000-00000000].

'External User' on 1/7/2009 2:55 PM
This message could not be sent. Try sending the message again
later, or contact your network administrator. Error is
[0x80070057-00000000-00000000].

If you are getting this error and you are running in Exchange cached mode
close Outlook and rename the OST file in
C:UsersUserNameAppDataLocalMicrosoftOutlook to NameOfFile.old then
reopen Outlook.

Doing this will recreate the OST file which is a locally cached copy of the
users mailbox, more than likely this will resolve your issues with this...

number of attendees, however he is getting the following error message:

Some of the attendees are within the company, other are external accounts,
he has never had problems sending messages to them in the past.
He was using Office 2003 when there was any problem, now he has Outlook 2007
and receives the error.
He is typing the address, and selecting from GAL the attendees.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

Is anyone familiar with this error with Exchange 2003 SP3. It occurred
when a user with a mailbox on one server tried to send email to a user
with a mailbox on another. It seemed to be a temporary situation.

Thanks,

Peter

Can any one please help, one of our users has sent a meeting request out to a

I have asked him to retry but he still keeps getting it. All of the
attendees are within the company, and he has never had problems sending
messages to them in the past.
We use Office 2003.

Thank you.

When one of our users generates Outlook calendar appointments and adds
invitees via the "Scheduling" tab of the appointment window, she
receives an error message when sending the invitation. The behavior does
not manifest if she adds invitees via the "Invite Attendees" button or
when creating a calendar item from a contact item.

Has anyone seen this before?

request. This appears to be happing for both internal and external contacts.
I've seen this issue posted around the Internet, but no solutions. I also
saw a this link on MS KB, but I don't see how it applies to Outlook:

I have a program that I need to send an alert to my email from when a certain event happens.  I found a VBScript on MS Technet that should work.

'================================================= =========================
'
' NAME: MailUsingOutlook.vbs

' COMMENT: This script generates an e-mail using the Outlook client.
'
'================================================= =========================

'Create an Outlook object
Dim Outlook 'As New Outlook.Application
Set Outlook = CreateObject("Outlook.Application"

'Create e new message
Dim Message 'As Outlook.MailItem
Set Message = Outlook.CreateItem(olMailItem)
With Message
 .Subject = "New event"
 .Body = "New event"

 'Set destination email address
 .Recipients.Add ("john smith"

 'Set sender address.
 Const olOriginator = 0
 .Recipients.Add("john smith".Type = olOriginator
 .Recipients.ResolveAll

 'Send the Message
 .Send
End With

However when I run the VBScript, i get the following undeliverable email message in Outlook 2007.

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

I received a call from JOEASST (Joe Cohen asst) this evening and she stated that when she sent this email, it got bounced back with info (BELOW) and cant seem to find the email she sent in SENT Items, Outbox, Deleted, etc.

I was able to remote on her system, but could not find the email as well.

This issue happened earlier in the day with Greg Pulis, but he was not concerned because he was able to type up the message again and it was sent successfully the second time.

Exchange is 2003SP1 on W2k3 SP1. Clients are O2k3 connecting via RPC/HTTPS via an ISA2000SP2 on Win2k3SP1. OWA works without problems.

I do know that W2k3 SP1 does handle RPC slightly differently, but am unable to find any warnings not to do this.

When using OWA on SBS 2003, emails are recieved, but cannot reply, or send new mail.  The error is "forbidden".  I have domain admin permissions.  Where should I be looking to correct this issue?
