recovering deleted junk email


I have a user that emptied his junk email from Outlook 2003. He accidentally deleted it with an email in junk email that he needed. When I looked for it from the "Recover Deleted Items" container it was not there. Does anything purged from the junk mail folder not go to "Recover Deleted Items"?

I accidently deleted junk email folder (instead of emptying it) how do i
either retrieve it or create a new one? can I just add a new folder or is it

I'm using outlook 2003; I found that some useful emails were being
routed to the junk folder after I deleted it's content. I've read here
that if your outlook is set up for it you can recover via tools/recover
but I don't have that. Is there any other way?

Hello all,

I have a mailbox store that we user for journaling email. it have 45GB's of email on the "recover deleted items" folder. I've set my limit to keep deleted emails for 8 days but I still have 30 days worth of email in that folder.

Does anyone know how to enforce this limit if it appears to be not working?

I have a user that has deleted his Junk-Email folder in Outlook 2000. We
have Exchange 2003 servers and are using the built in junk mail filtering
with GFI mail essentials so

Now that the user has accidentally deleted his Junk-email folder the
automatic filtering does not work. Even if I manually recreate the folder
and then turn the junk filtering on in OWA (options) it is still not
filtering. Is there a way to get Exchange or Outlook to dynamically recreate
that Junk-Email folder?




I set up my outlook 2003 to Permanently delete suspected junk e-mail instead
of moving it to the Junk E-mail folder, but I'm still getting emails from
block senders in my junk email forlder. What can I do to stop this?




I have been trying to delete both junk mail and deleted email in Outlook
2007, but keep getting the message that an error has been found in the file
outlook.pst. I have followed all the steps and then some, but nothing works.
Incidently, the number of actual junk emails is 5, the number next the Junk
email folder reads (4294967295). This is very frustrating, please help.

Recently when I try to delete a junk email from the "Junk EMail" folder, I
get a message that says I do not have permission to do that. I am not on
Microsoft Exchange.




Outlook 2003 user, receives email via POP connection.

If the email host isn't able to provide with the recent emails, is there any
way to recover the emails locally from the PC? The recover deleted items
appears only to work with Exchange Server.

Using Vista, and have Outlook 2007. When items are sent to junk email
folder, I click into the folder to make sure everything in there is junk.
When I right-click on the folder, there is an option (which I have used for
years in earlier versions of Outlook) to Delete "Junk E-mail", but the option
is always grayed out. Is there a way to fix this?

Hi,
Does anyone know how to auto delete Junk E-mail folder every 2 weeks in Outlook 2003?  Problem is our users never empty their Junk-Email folder and it gets really full. Ultimately, taking lot of Exchange Server resources.  I am using Exchange 2003 SP2.  There is a setting under auto archive to permenentaly delete Junk-email, but it needs to be configured on each workstation and not working as expected.  Ideally, is there is a way to configure it on server or script?

I'm using Outlook 2007. When I right click on the junk email folder, the
"delete junk email" command is not available. I've checked all my settings
and I can't find out what the problem is.




Outlook 2007 does not automatically delete junk email eventhough I have
selected that option in the junk email options. I only want to receive email
from my safe list and automatically delete all the rest. This worked fine in
Outlook 2003 but not in Outlook 2007. Any suggestions?

Email deleted from "Sent Items" goes to "Deleted Items". After i deleted the
email from the "Deleted Items" and try to recover it. I realised that it

The only change I can think of that I made, was to add many more
addresses to the blocked sender's list.

* Level of protection set to high
* Permanently delete junk emails instead of sending them to junk email
folder is UNchecked
