IP keeps getting blocked????

Hello

I'm hoping someone will be able to help me. I keep getting messages from email servers saying, that the recipiants email server isn't accepting connections. Message is "#5.5.0 smtp;550-Your IP address is blocked - use your assigned mailserver - see www.dynablock.minx.net.uk for more info>"

I've emailed dyanblock about this and they said there blocking because were using a dynamic IP address and i need to setup exchange to run through a Smart host, now i've done this via a SMTP connector, but the emails are still being refused

Any advise would be great

Thanks

Nige

Hello all,

Several months ago my company could not send emails to Comcast. I found out
we were blocked. I filled out there request form to get unblocked and a
couple of hours later they opened the pipe.

Now, about once a month we keep getting blocked. Only from Comcast. I then
fill out their form and they unblock us.

I am running Exchange 2003 and using Symantec's Mail Security for Microsoft
Exchange. This seems to do a pretty good job blocking incoming spam.

Any idea why they continue to block us? What can I look at the help resolve
this??

Thanks,
Jeff

I work for a non-profit, and we have a monthly newsletter that keeps getting
blocked by certain internet providers. How can I resolve this issue?

Hi,

Iam facing a serious issue since i implement Exchange 2003 on my domain, i get blacklisted direct the next day after implementation. I have closed the open relay, blocked port 25 on most network PCs, Installed AV and Anti Spam from kaspersky, enabled recepient Filter, intelligent message filter, sender filter.... there is nothing on my queue. event log shows that handrends of Spamers are trying to send email through my server but since the open realy is closed they are unable to

here is an example:
This is an SMTP protocol log for virtual server ID 1, connection #388. The client at "66.204.17.50" sent a "rcpt" command, and the SMTP server responded with "550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for bob@macsoft.com ". The full command sent was "rcpt TO: ". This will probably cause the connection to fail.

i have enabled the logging on my SMTP virtual Server, i have seen very much attacks on it like

from event viewer
This is an SMTP protocol log for virtual server ID 1, connection #312. The client at "212.118.15.82" sent a "rcpt" command, and the SMTP server responded with "550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for nickowei@hotmail.com ". The full command sent was "rcpt TO:". This will probably cause the connection to fail.

now i am stuck and i dont know how to solve this weird issue, ihave never faced issue like this before ?? any advice will be more than appreciated.

Even after clicking on 'add sender to blocked sender's list' I keep getting
one particular email every time my email does a send receive. This email
first came almost 2 months ago! It goes to my spam folder, but I get dozens
of the same one every day! Help! Others I have blocked are no problem.

We have IMF v2 installed on our Exchange 2003 SP2 server.
We have several Kyocera copiers throughout our agency which can scan to PDF and email the PDF to someone within the LAN.
People can also scan and save to TIFF and email the TIFF through the copier.

However, these messages keep getting blocked by IMF.

What can I do with IMF to prevent IMF from blocking emails from the IP addresses of the copiers??
I have added all the copiers' IP addresses to the Global Accept list in the Connection Filtering part of System Manager.
I have added the copiers' IP addresses to the whitelist in Symantec Mail Security as well.

What else can I do to permit these copiers to function properly?? These copiers can only send messages inside our network, not to external Internet email addresses.

Thank you,
Tom

I just setup a new Exch 07 server with SP1, roll-up 6. One of my users needs to send an email to a local county user but the message keeps getting blocked by their Exch 07 server. I am assuming that it is being blocked because my local IP is in the header rather than the public IP. Is there any way to change this.

Thanks,
Jeff

When using OWA externally with IE users keep getting prompted for logins. You can see the OWA interface but no matter what function you try to perform the login prompt comes up. Cannot access inbox, create new mail, check for new mail etc
When using another browser such as Netscape or Firefox it works flawlessly although you only get the basic interface.
I have read several MS TechNet KB articles regarding similar issues none of which have solved my problem.
*Note: OWA with IE works fine internally.
As for authentication and NTFS permissions in IIS and Exchange I followed this MS KB article. https://premier.microsoft.com/premier/library/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;327843

We are running a single Exchange Server behind a router using NAT with ports 25, 80 and 110 forwarded to the Exchange server.

Hope someone can help this is driving me crazy and is most likely something simple I am missing.

Hello all:

I am having severe issues with my outlook. I've tried to do several searches on the web, with no luck in finding a solution. I am running SBS 2008 with Exchange 2007 and my clients are Outlook 2007. Everything was working well until a couple of weeks ago. Now my outlook clients consistently gives me a Needs Password dialog box. Additionally I keep getting a certificate error as well. I've also noticed that if I use Remote Workplace, I can connect to my emails, but I can no longer connect to computers. I'm not sure if all of these issues are related, but they all started happening around the same time.

A lot of what I have seen on the web points to Autodiscover issues. Unfortunately, I do not know how to resolve these issues. Some say to add a SVR record in DNS (how???) some say to create a new certificate. I just do not know what to do. One other issue that has also crept up is my balckberry can no longer authenticate using the ATT website where I validate my email address. Please help...

Metabase Update agent failed to start. Error code is 80040a01.

I keep getting this every so often and all my mailbox store dismount, I ran
setup /domainprep on the Domain controller. Reboot exchange server and
everything mounts ok. Any ideas what is happening here, I have done this
process a couple of times already. I have sent logs to Microsoft Support and
they are still looking to see what's going on. I have the August post sp3
for exchange.

The SeSecurityPrivilege right keeps getting reset on the Exchange Enterprise
Servers group. This stops Exchange talking to AD and the mailstores dismount
a shortwhile later. When I run the Policytest tool from the exchange CD it
shows "right not found" for each DC. I can easily fix this by running the
exchange setup /domainprep switch which adds the right back to the group. But
it keeps getting reset and I have to keep running /domainprep.
I can keep checking Policytest during the day and running /domainprep but
it's not really a proper solution, and I can't stay there all night either so
email can be down in the morning causing major grief.

I've run through MSoft paper ID 314294
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=314294 and switched on security auditing for
domain security events in event viewer but cannot find any trace of what they
are looking for in the security log.

One clue maybe that I have to run /domainprep on each DC to give it back the
right to it's copy of the AD

Hi,

We have an Exchange 5.5 running on a Win2k server. We have mixed clients
(pc/mac). PC-users are running Outlook, mac-users are using AppleMail.

A few days ago i started to recieve errors from the exchangeserver from
one mac-client:

App: E 'Tue Oct 25 08:58:03 2005': MSExchange IMAP4 Interface - " An

What does this error mean? I've checked the logs, and mail sent and
recieved from the mac is working.

I keep getting this error several times a day. What can i do about this?

Thanks

Hi, I've got an interesting problem. I have a web app that is generating an e-mail with contact information when customers fill out the page. that email is being deleted by IMF about 95% of the time. I've added the sender to the safe sender list, I've tried adding the IP of the server generating the message and everything else I can think of to whitelist it but it keeps getting blocked. Does anyone have any idea's as to why this may be happening?

Thanks

I keep getting "Errors have been detected in the file [my pst file] Quit
Outlook and all mail-enabled applications, and then use the Inbox repair
tol..." I can open it just fine on THIS computer, but if I transfer it to my
laptop, I can't open it. I can't archive it, because I get the same error.

This happened ealier today, and I ended up deleting the PST and restoring a
backup copy of it from a couple days. The problem went away. But just now, I
tried to send an e-mail, and it's back.

Here's the big rub: at this point, you're all about to tell me about the
infamous "2GB bug", yes? Not this time. 32MB file. I archive my e-mail every
month into seperate, montly archives and make backups of each. Yes, I'm
compu-anal-retentive. What's going on?!
