How to auto-archive Exchange Mailboxes

I know how to archives an Outlook mailbox locally, but is there way way to do this via group policy? Ideally I'd like to do it centrally for all users, so all mail older than 1 year is automatically archived in a network location.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Outlook 2010, Windows 7, corporate Exchange server 2007.

Is it possible, and how, to auto-archive a Exchange mailbox to a local mailbox, so that the size-limited Exchange mailbox does not overflow?!

Thanks!

Is it possible to Auto Archive a Mailbox that is not your main Mailbox. A mailbox that has been added by Tool>Email Accounts>More Settings>Advanced?

The reason I ask is that I have auto archive setup on this Mailbox, but it is not moving the items every 14 days.

I'm trying to recover a deleted mailbox by following steps on Exchange Server 2007 help file:

How to recover a deleted mailbox using the Exchange Management Console

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997182.aspx

I just deleted few test users mailboxes but they are not showing as disconnected mailboxes?! Where are they? By the way, active directory accounts are deleted as well. By default mailbox database settings deleted mailboxes should be available for recovery for 30 days?! Am I missing something here? Deleted mailboxes had some emails and calendars entry on them.

Thanks

i am using outlook 2010 on my desktop. i am connected to exchange server mailbox. i have configured default delivery to personal pst file due to less mailbox limit. By doing this all calender invites go to my pst. Now i want to keep my meeting invites to mailbox(not mails and others) how to do this ?

how to choose which item alone go to pst ? OR
how to auto sync/copy calender from pst to mailbox ?

Here the email domain is @abc.com.tw, some new users from another branch
which have their original email domain is @def.com.tw, and the mail server is
hosted by an ISP. Now all the new users will also have mailbox @abc.com.tw,
but want to still keep mailbox @def.com.tw. How to configurate my exchange
2003 to also serve domain "@def.com.tw", then we won't host another mail
server in the ISP.

I may be missing something obvious but how do I manually archive folders in
Outlook 2007, all I can find are the settings for auto-archive.
When I right-click the folder and go to properties and set the criteria for
archiving it a box comes up saying I don't have auto-archive set so Outlook
will set it for me. I don't want to auto-archive, I want to manually archive
specific folders when it suits me not at a regular time determined by
Microsoft.

anyone know how i can make my home pc's outlook popup task reminders that
only have a specific category e.g. "Home"? i connect to my works exchange
server thru a vpn.

I read on this forum that I need to "Create Exchange mailboxes".
How do I create Exchange mailboxes for each user ?

Is this done on the server or the client ?

Hi all,
I looking for a help how to create Archive Folders to archive emails in
my PC. There is a training session but there is mentioned how it is good to
create these Archive Folders and after that how setup AutoArchive but I
cannot find anything about a simple advice how to create those Archive
Folders.
Thanks you for any help.

I am trying to find a script or a good third party solution that will
programatically add a mailbox to an Outlook profile (either Outlook 2003 or
2007) rather than having to manually add the mailbox using the "open these
additional mailboxes" feature under the Advanced tab of the profile. I have
already found Microsoft's "How to add more Exchange mailboxes to a MAPI
profile" knowledge base article
(http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;171636). Has anyone
had experience using this one? I am not a programmer. Does this need to be
run on the machine that has the profile that needs to be modified, or can it
be run from the Exchange server?

We are currently running Exchange 2003, SP2 servers with a mix of Outlook
2003 and 2007 clients.

Thanks for your help!

I know how to auto-accept ALL meeting requests. How can I automatically
accept requests from ONLY one user? I tried setting up this rule:

Apply this rule after the message arrives
from "Company Calendar"
and which is a meeting invitation or update

but got stuck at "Select action(s)" as I did not see an action which would
automatically accept the request.

thank you for your advice,

Hello

I was moving mailboxes from 2003 to 2010, but one mailbox, a blackberry user, I accidentally moved. The reason being, I do not want to move Blackberry users yet. I want to move this one user back to 2003, but the option to do so is unavailable. In fact, I can only move legacy mailboxes. I do so with the console, and I'm not familiar yet with the shell commands. I go to Recipient Config, then right click on the mailbox in question. I think there is another way but I don't know what it is. I remember seeing the option to move users back to 2003, but it was in another menu. Please assist.

Hello

I want to add exchange server account in outlook 2003 but I do not know how to fill "Microsoft exchange server name" and "user name". Before I had used "POP3" so "my incoming mail server was": mail.sepideh.com and my mail is [email protected] so it was working very well. But in exchange server account I do not know what I have to do, also our IT does not know that. What I know is

1- Mail server is "mail.sepideh.com".

2- Our email is: [email protected]

3- User name of my computer is: m_sedighy.

With this information how I have to configure exchange server account for my computer, please help.

Thanks in advanced.

How can I set everyone's mailbox in an exchange org to auto archive all mail that is 90 days old or older?

Hi there,

I'd like to know how big a normal exchange mailbox will be in most companies
using
Exchange server. Would you please contribute to let us know about that?

Our Exchange server that we set every one has 1.5GB. We've been asked
how large mailbox of other companies use to set for their users. Some users
want
their mailbox to be unlimited...that's odd...but kept being asked all the
times!!

We explained, and explaining, even provide some documentation for
understanding about
archiving and organizing your email ...

Thanks for your reading!!
