Messages not leaving the Outbox

All messages I'm sending only go into the Outbox and then they never go past
it.
I always get a warning when I exit that Outlook is still sending messages.

Is there a fix for this.
I tried to search Microsoft but didn't come up with anything.

My email messages will send but they will not leave the outbox and they keep
resending unless I delete them entirely. I can not move them to the sent box.
Any suggestions?

The reply of a message is not leaving the outbox.
The out date is not posted on the headline of the outgoing message (not
available date).
If I forward the message it does leave the outbox.

Using my g-mail account on Outlook 2003, a message with a 7.5MB PDF
attachment stays in my outbox and is sent multiple times. I have reset the
timeout on the account to max (10 min).
I can send this message direct from g-mail but from Outlook 2003 it sends
but stays in the outbox.
I have no problem sending messages with smaller attachments the same way
from Outlook 2003.
I also deactivated my McAfee anti-virus for outgoing messages. hat did not
help

I am able to receive e-mail messages but not send messages from the outbox.
What needs to be adjusted or changed to correct this problem? Your assistance
is appreciated.

My outbound messages seem to send OK, but are not automatically deleted from
the outbox, resulting in an error messge and multiple transmissions of the
same message. I have had this problem for about a month, have not changed
any options or settings, and am tired of waiting for messages to leave the
outbox then manually deleting them. Has anybody else seen this problem, or
have any idea of how to deal with it?

I have a file that I am sending (63mb) in an email. It will not leave
my outbox and is continually scanned by McAfee. Even when I turnoff
McAfee to see if that helps, it still will not leave my outbox. When I
try to delete that email, nothing happens. When I try to open that
email, it won't allow me to and I receive the message "Can't open this
item. Outlook has already begun transmitting this message." I can
leave my computer on for days and this will still not send. Any other
emails that I send are queueing up behind it. I can still receive
emails but I just can't send. Any thoughts?

azphoto did you ever figure out what the problem is? I am a photographer and
I am on a PC using XP Pro sp2 and having the same issue since last Wednesday

You've posted to the wrong newsgroup, this is for OE for Macintosh.

I've crossposted and set followups to the Windows OE newsgroup.

I have deleted and reinstalled the program. I have finally narrowed it
down to messages with photos in the email. The message goes to my
"Outbox" but doesn't leave the "Outbox" in my program. It is delivered to
the address I sent it to but on top of not leaving the "Outbox" it doesn't
appear in the "Sent" folder.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

All of a sudden, my emails with attachments are being sent by outlook

therefore, they keep sending over and over again.
This only happens with emails with attachments.
Is this happening to anyone else?
I went into my stored folder and deleted the outbox.dbx file and then
rebooted. this did not fix it either.
I scanned for viruses and this did not show any issues either.
Can someone help me?
Thank you.

Hi,

I have a computer XP SP2 Outlook 2003 all latest updates and mail will not
leave the outbox. I have started Outlook in safe mode and still won't leave
outbox. I have manually forced it to go and also checked all settings to
automatically send etc. It does not error but messages will not leave the
outbox. When I close Outlook it says there are messages in outbox, wait 30
seconds etc. This is the only message that comes up. Otherwise Outlook does
not seem to think it has a problem. Even if I delete the messages in the
outbox and create a brand new one it still will not send even a simple test
email. Yes it is italicised and I have tried all the obvious fixes but still
it refuses to actually send even though the progress meter says it has
completed sending.

HELP!
thanks
Paddy.

When I save a message it saves it in the Inbox, not in the Outbox. How do I
change this please?

I have users with e-mails not leaving the outbox. Does anybody know why this occurs? In order to fix it I have to delet the outlook profile and create a new one. Sometimes the e-mails go out sometimes not. If they do not go out I have to open the message, cut everything out and paste it into a new e-mail to the same person and the e-mail will send.

Email will not send correctly. When I try to send an email with an
attachment. I press send on the email and it goes to outbox in Outlook. It
stays in the outbox after it has been sent and never goes to the sent box and
the email keeps sending the email till I delete it. It has sent the same
email over 50 times. How do I fix it?

I have a message stuck in the outbox -- size 5MB -- will not send
and I can not deduct -- any suggestions?

Thanks,

Outlook 2010 - Any time I try to send an email, the email will not leave the outbox.  It does not matter whether there is an attachment or not.  I have tried repairing, working offline to delete the stuck email and everything else I can think of, however, deleting it and retyping the whole email to prepare for another send only ends up with the same result - it's stuck and won't leave the outbox.  I have even tried sending emails as a test... with only one word in the subject and body... so it's not the size.  Does anyone know of a fix?

I have a user with Outlook 2007, Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003, his desktop is XP
PRO and he is able to send and receive emails. However every email he sends
stays in the outbox until he selects Send and Receive. He continues to
receive email without eny issues. Any Ideas on this

Sending Messages Not in Outbox OL 2003 2 Internet Connections

I have 2 internet connections for 2 locations.

Sometimes I choose the wrong account and outlook attempts to send messages
via the account I'm not connected to. Most of the time OL is OK and won't
send them until I choose the correct account. But sometimes the messages
leave the outbox and I can't verify whether they're in the sent items.

The messages end up "in limbo" trying to send via the internet connection
account I'm not connected to.

How do I find out which emails these are? What happens to the emails in
limbo if I never use the other internet account again?

Thank you for your assistance.

I'm having an error message when I try to send an e-mail. The mail gets
sent, however does not leave my outbox and I get an error message that states
"Some errors ocurred while processing the requested tasks. Please review the
list of errors below for more details." There is also nothing for me to even
review below. It's blank in the errors tab.

I've also found that if I don't delete that e-mail I sent earlier from my
outbox, it will continue to send it.

If anyone can help me, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have two email accounts, only one of which has send message capability. I
get constant errors 0x80042109 because Outlook 2003 is trying to send a
message to the email account that does not allow sending email. There are no
emails in the Outbox. I have to believe that Outlook is trying to send a
receipt to the account without send capability.

Thanks in advance for any help that will resolve this problem.

The outbox contains, say, two messages I have written.  When Outlook does a send, the sending status bar at the bottom sometimes shows something like 12 messages going out.  I also find that often when have messages in the outbox that have attachments, they will not go out without repeated tries.  I am not sure if this is connected with the first problem.  I also am receiving a fair number of messages just containing a link and the sender address is people from my addressbook.  I did repeated scans with Norton Internet Security which turned up nothing.  I changed to Zone Alarm and when set on deep scan it found two or three bugs, at least two of them containing "remote" in their name, and ZA says it quarantined them.  But the sending of extra messages besides those in the outbox continues on occasion and I am still seeing some of the link messages from some addresses in my contact list.
