I'm trying to develop application witch has to send an email from mht web archive or from full html that includes images. I
would like to have an Outlook new window to be opened in order to allow user preview of the email before sending. The short
code snippet is below:
MailItem mailItem = MailItem)this.outlookApp.CreateItem(OlItemType.olMailItem);
Outlook.Inspector inspector = mailItem.GetInspector;
mailItem.BodyFormat = OlBodyFormat.olFormatHTML;
mailItem.Body = "HTML string here";
inspector = this.outlookApp.ActiveInspector();
if (inspector != null)
if (app != null) OfficeHelper.FinalReleaseComObject(app);
if (inspector != null) OfficeHelper.FinalReleaseComObject(inspector);
if (mailItem != null) OfficeHelper.FinalReleaseComObject(mailItem);
New Outllok inspector window opens correctly. All fields are visible and set
correctly, except body. The body of the item is ALWAYS TEXT. It looks like that Outlook absolutely ignores the BodyFormat.
Has anybody observed such behaviour or observed the effect described above? Thank you for your help.
