Rule to Forward email but delay delivery 10 minutes

I have situation that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I'm trying
to find out if there is a way to have Exchange Server forward emails
from a specific person and with specific words in the subject field to
another email address but delay the delivery by 10 minutes. I know you
can create Rules to forward emails to another address but I can't seem
to find out how to delay delivery by 10 minutes or how to have the
Exchange Server to do it because I need this to work without having
Outlook open.

Is this possible? If so I would appreciate any info or direction on
how to accomplish this.

Thanks in advance!

I am using Outlook 2000, running on XP professional.
I have set up a rule to forward all messages that arrive in my inbox to
another email address. The rule only appears to work when I am logged into
outlook as at all other times none of the emails are forwarded.
Can anyone help me out?

I created a rule to forward all email that is sent to a public folder to a
list of internal recipients. That part works fine, however when the message
is forwarded, the addresses in the CC field are removed so if you say Reply
All, the only person who will get the reply is the original sender. How can I
make sure that the people listed in the cc field are included when the
message is forwarded from the public folder (with the setting INTACT).

Thanks.

Hello, I am using OL2007 to create a rule to forward email with certain words in the subject line to another recipient. However, in our case the subject lines of the emails we receive are very long, they include things such as Project Number, Location, Email content and etc. The problem is for example, I setup this rule that says any email with 5596 Dallas in the subject to forward to someone else. OK, well the actual subject of the email is 5596-198 Dallas, TX (78XX): Lots of text here describing the email (more numbers here, etc, etc) Now all of this information EXCEPT that first number and Dallas will be changing with every email coming in so we can't include that whole thing. If I use 5596-198 Dallas, TX as my criteria the rule will work, however if I use 5596 Dallas the ruke won't work. I can't use 5596-198 Dallas, TX because the 198 number will be different on every email and sometimes TX or the state is not included. Any advice??

Hi Supportive people

I am trying to forward emails to public folder

I need this for

share the incoming faxes and make it available to all the corporate users.

We are using GFI fax maker 14

I am lucky and found an article take about this in GFI KB

but I reach to a step which I am not able to continue
quote:

How can I make incoming faxes arrive in a public folder?
The information in this article applies to:
GFI FAXmaker for Exchange 10GFI FAXmaker for Exchange 7GFI FAXmaker for Exchange 9GFI FAXmaker for Exchange/SMTP 12GFI FAXmaker for Exchange/SMTP 14 Article ID: KBID001132
Query keywords: exchange, Exchange Server
To make incoming faxes arrive in a public folder, proceed as follows:

Microsoft Exchange 2000 / 2003
Create a public folder (using Microsoft Exchange client or Microsoft Outlook).
After creating the public folder, you should give to all users the right to create elements in the folder. (This is done by default if the public folder is at the root of the folders hierarchy).
To be sure that users have the right to create elements in the folder use the following steps:  From Outlook or an Exchange client, right Click on the public folder and open its properties.  Go to Permissions. Give to the 'Default user' the 'Author' role and 'Anonymous' the 'Contributor' role. Click on OK.
From the Microsoft Exchange 2000 System Manager, select the newly created folder from .
Select properties from the 'Actions' menu (Alt-A) and then select the 'Exchange Advanced' tab.
Un-check the 'Hidden' from 'Exchange address lists' check box and click 'OK'.
Create a user using Active Directory Users & Computers.
While in the user's properties, go to the 'Exchange General' tab, click on 'Delivery Options' and in the 'Forwarding address frame' select the public folder using the 'Modify' button.
In GFI FAXmaker configuration, configure this mailbox to receive all incoming faxes).

this is the KB link

i didn't put it all because I care for exchange 2003 only

ok my point now in the last step in AD

While in the user's properties, go to the 'Exchange General' tab, click on 'Delivery Options' and in the 'Forwarding address frame' select the public folder using the 'Modify' button.

I am not able to browse public folders.

I hope someone can help me in this point or tell me the best way to do this.

Thanks for everyone

how to create a rule to forward some of the emails that i sent to a specific
user as an attachment after sending the email.

Hello,

Using Outlook 2003 Pro. I created a series of rules to check the
Subject/Body for specific text. If found, forward the email to a list of
people then move the email to a specific folder and then stop.

The problem is it will forward the emails 1 time, but whenever I run the
rule again it will move the item to the proper folder, but not send out the
email. If I restart Outlook, it works 1 time. I found Article 258787, Rule to
forward messages in Outlook only sends one message, but does offer a
workaround as we are not dynamically changing items. Does anyone have a
suggestion for a workaround or another solution?

Thank you,
Mike

I'm working in a small office where almost everyone is using Outlook 2003,
connected to Exchange 2003. We have a few email accounts which are "generic"
and are promoted as public contact points. Emails to these are then
forwarded (by rule) to two people in the office who decide who they should
best be dealt with. This system works well for us and it means that emails
sent directly to someone are easily distinguishable from emails sent to one
of these "generic" accounts.

The problem with this setup relates to junk. The Junk email filter in
Outlook/Exchange 2003 does quite a good job at cutting out junk/spam. The
problem I face is how to utilize this in respect of our "generic" email
addresses. We probably get more junk on those than on all our other accounts
combined, but I couldn't see any rule option to forward email unless it is
marked as junk. Once the email has been forwarded it appears to come from an
internal account and the junk filter doesn't seem to get a look in.

Any ideas what I should do?

Thanks.

I wanted to create a rule that forwards all messages I recieve from a
specific sender.

I set the sender up as a contact, and set up a rule to forward any messages
from him to another email address ( which I also set up as a contact).

I tried setting up the rule to tke action when emails are received from the
sender selected as a contact, but that didnt work at ll becasue I dont think
Outlook recognised the incoming email address to the contact, although it all
looked fine to me. So I changed the rule to use the following criteria.

Rules wizard step 1 - with specific words in the subject ( this seems to work
as the subject is always the same).
Step 2 - Forward it to people or distribution list - with the forward to
address selected from the contacts list
Step 3 exceptions - None selected

Finish rule set up: I gave it a name and checked the turn on this rule box.
The rule is displayed atb the top of the rules setup window.

Now if I click run this rule now. It works, but if I just wait for relevant
incoming mssages to arrive and expect the rule t run it dosnt?

Any ideas?

Mark
